This late Victorian silverplated set is marked with the design number 1938. The gorgeous design features bold florals in deep relief and reeded curved handles. The creamer has a parcel gilt interior, the sugar has no gold wash on the interior. Both pieces stand 5 1/8” 13 cm) tall at the handles. This pair has no monogram or inscription. These two are in very good condition. With no dents, breaks, or repairs. Both pieces have minor wear on the outer top rim, lower edge, handles, and on the high-point edges of the busy design. VICTORIAN CIVIL WAR ERA AESTHETIC JOHN MEAD FIGURAL VINES CREAMER PITCHER JUG Search Up for auction is a Victorian stately creamer jug or creamer by Mead and Sons. Philadelphia, Pa. According to the book American Silver Manufacturers by Dorothy Rainwater, pg, 107, the Company of Mead and Sons was formed in or around 1846 by John O. Mead after he returned from a trip to England to learn the art of Electro silver plating in the 1840's. By 1859 Mead was considered the first successful American electro silver plater around. Mead used the Coin Mark for his business until the late 1850's when the firm name became Filey and Mead. Later still the firm name was changed to Mead and Robins. That said, this dates the cream pitcher to the 1850's. It is a beauty standing 7.5 inches tall and 6 inches wide from handle to spout. The inside is ... moreclean and usable, no dings or dents and beautiful silver plate that needs just a little polishing. There is a monogram on one side which is impossible to make out. There are strips of bright silver along the seam between the top and the bottom of the pot(difficult to see in the photos) It almost appears as if a repair was made at one point. But it is difficult for me to tell, even from the inside. Numerous scratches but no significant dings or dents. One of the feet is broken but the pot still sits level. I don't see any numbers to show that this is sterling so I'm calling it silver plated. This comes out of an estate located in Harrisburg. PA. The front is signed with what looks like D N Hine Premium Farm of 100 acres 1881. There are no branding or hallmarks found but the bottom of the tilt coffee is stamped with 403 and something else that I can't make out. Overall size is a total of 18" tall. The ice pitcher server rotates forward and back. As you can tell- there is a ton of detail on this highly decorated piece. The top features what looks like a cherub holding a bottle of ... morewine and a cup. The body of the coffee pot is decorated with a bird motif which is carried throughout the entire piece. The spout looks like a bird's mouth and the base of both pieces have birds as well. I believe they could be some sort of cranes. Meriden Britiannia Co. Silverplated Victorian Syrup Pitcher This vintage silverplated syrup pitcher by Meriden Britannia Co. is 8 1/8" in height. It is in fair condition. There is some silverplate loss particularly on the handle. There is also a crack in the lid. The plating on the body of the pitcher is not bad. However. The finial on top of the lid is the head of an Egyptian woman and the figural head on the handle is also of a woman. The syrup pitcher or cup has an inner spout to prevent dripping. The hallmark and pattern number 187 are stamped on the bottom of the pedestal along with"Patented Oct. 24. 1865" and beneath that"July 1, 1873" A great piece of early Victorian memorabilia! REED & BARTON SILVER PLATE VICTORIAN ICE WATER PITCHER
SUPER REED& BARTON VICTORIAN ICE WATER PITCHER. This lovely icon is from a European collectors cache. This pitcher is 11 1/2" tall and 10" wide from handle to spout. This unique pitcher has two screws on either side of the lid. When you unscrew them you have access to the ceramic jug fitted to the pitcher for ice water. It is removable although I have not taken it completely out. The ceramic insert which is chilled and filled with cool water shows a little crazing. There is what looks to be a family crest on the underside of the spout. The crest has been carved out meticulously to frame the spout and is complete with an ice catcher which I have tried to show in the last phtot. Up for auction is this lovely Ridgway water/milk pitcher in the INDUS pattern dated on the underside June 1877. This is in wonderful condition. It shows extremely well with very little imperfections on the underside of the pitcher. It has a stain and a a rough edge along the bottom and I do show all in the pictures provided. The scene is flying brown game birds or pheasants with foliage and a church steeple or a mission of some sort in the background. This English Earthenware piece is a remarkable collectible. it is from the Victorian era and has the RSR(Ridgway Sparks Ridgway) mark on the underside as shown. The symbols indicate that this was produced in June 1877. It has a lovely braided handle and the spout doesn't have any dings. This pitcher stands 8 and 1/2 inches with a 4 inch opening at the spout. Beautiful antique blown crystal glass pitcher. 9 inches tall, bulbous body with 3-1/4 inch base with gold band. Narrow neck with flaring fluted edge and spout. Applied ribbed handle, gold and white enameled flowers and leaves around center. Four matching tumblers of same design, 4 inches tall with a 3 inch diameter rim. Two have rough edge rims and one has small nick on rim.

This beautiful tall hand blown glass pitcher is hand painted with attractive dogwood flowers. It is 11.5" tall& 7" wide. From grandmother's estate c. 1900"s and in very good condition with no chips. Possibly a German or Austrian made item. Only a short tight crack above the handle which may be a factory error in heating& fusing the handle. Has muted gold trim around the spout. The color of the base is light cranberry asending to clear glass with dogwood blooms. You will love this wonderful piece!

Description This beautiful Victorian Art Glass Pitcher has the ruffled top with white& gold floral design. It does have the pontil on the bottom so I believe it to be hand blown. It is in very good condition there are no cracks. Chips and no repairs only some minor wear on gold rim. It has an applied glass handle and a few small air bubbles in the glass which would be typical of the early to mid 1800's. Wonderful Early American Hand Painted Art Glass Vase. This is a wonderful hand painted art glass ewer/ pitcher with opaque satin glass finish to the outside and creamy"fireglow" interior. This glass was called"fireglow" due to the fiery illumination of the glass when held up to bright light. This ewer/ pitcher is most likely by Boston& Sandwich Glass Co. of Massachusettes. The company went out of business in 1888. The ewer has a wonderful brightly painted bird and floral scene on the front. The back is not decorated. The handle has a minor rough spot at the bottom where applied. And appears to be from manufacture, but may have chipped after, but it is smooth and if not upon making, occured shortly after. see photo#5 for details) Otherwise in wonderful condition. LARGE ANTIQUE 1858 MERIDEN COMPANY[CONNECTICUT] DOUBLE-WALLED WATER PITCHER WITH LOVELY EDUARDIAN/ PRE-VICTORIAN MOTIF. this is a very early. Finely realized piece. It is substantial- measuring 13" in height and 11" at the widest point. The entire piece has ornate etchwork. THe handle has a unique finial- a female bust. It also has 2 cameo medallions/ cartouches. It has a shallow dent in the middle of one side, and a small drilled hole on the underside, as well as several minor surface scratches, which are commensurate with age. With an unusual use of a symmetrical floral pattern. As such. It represents an intriguing mixture of Victorian with Art Nouveau styles. While I could not find any background information on the history of this particular pattern. It is my personal belief that it was an early result of the art nouveau introduction into our design world. However. It must be noted that while I polished and polished this piece, I could not bring it back to its original luster. Therefore. I have to assume that the silverplate has completely worn off, as it currently has a mottled patina. Silver plated double-walled ice pitcher or cold liquid pitcher with a pristine enameled agate interior made during the mid to late 19th century. The body of this large pitcher is beautifully engraved with fern leaves done in a high finish and highlighted against the gorgeous matte finish background. This really make the leaves stand out. The ice pitcher is marked on the underside with two different patents. The piece was originally patented by James Stimpson in 1854. And then patented again by Meriden Britannia Company in 1868. I am not sure when this piece was made, perhaps a little after 1854, but possibly as late as 1870. In either case the pitcher is certainly over 130 ... moreyears old and squarely made during the high Victorian period. The condition of the pitcher is superb. One of the finest I have ever seen in over 30 years in the business. The interior is extremely clean, probably the cleanest I've ever seen. There is a very small amount of minor wear to the plating on the spout of the pitcher. Otherwise, the plating is in excellent condition. It is 99% intact. The hinge on the lid is strong, and the lid closes securely. There are no dents, no breaks, no repairs, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no problems of any kind. The pitcher has a height of 12 1/2 inches and a width of 10 1/2 inches from the handle to the spout. Good luck and bid with confidence. Unusual and Charming Small Victorian Silver Plate Pitcher, Creamer
This pitcher is a true find for all the pitcher collectors out there! It is made by the Middleton Plate co. Which was in business from 1864 through 1899 and was then bought out by the International Silver Co. So truly a Victorian treasure. It is adorned with lots of embellishments(notice the scroll work near the bottom) and has an interesting pouring interior. The lid closes nicely and covers the cream/milk from outside pollutants. It is in excellent shape, with one small dimple and a bit of discoloration near the handle. Measurements are: 5 ½" tall and 3 1/2" diameter. Handle adds another inch. This auction is for a VICTORIAN Antique circa 1860's Pitcher/Jug by WILLIAM BROWNFIELD. The color is Grey-Blue. It has 4 panels in high relief that depict Art, Science, Music and Commerce. This beautiful British artifact from 150 years ago is about 8" tall and about 5" wide. The bottom has all of the the company logos and is impressed with what I believe are the initials of the artisan. W.L. I am delighted to say that this jug has survived all these years in virtually perfect condition. I have included a lot of photographs under different lighting conditions. Victorian/ Northwood enameled pitcher with tumblers
Very Nice Northwood Water/tea pit cher set with 5 tumblers. This set was made in the 19 0 3. Some of the enamel is worn on the pitcher. There is also like a bit of extra glass on the rim o f the pitcher(see picture 7) one tumbler has a tiny spot in the glass and was made that way as you cannot feel any mark on either side of that tumbler. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. All pi eces including the pitcher are marked w ith an N for Northwood. The pitcher is also marked 964, there are a couple of air like bubbles(not burst) on the bottom the pitcher. Excell ent cond ition and hard to fin d set. Shipping is an estimate. A beautiful Victorian antique style cut glass wine carafe/decanter. A lovely addition to any table. Interior can be viewing and looks beautiful in candle light. The lid and top section is silver plated and opens with a good strong hinge. The entire top section unscrews for easy access to the glass pitcher. Open the lid and there is a screw on lid that is removed before pouring. When this lid is turned close, the beverage is kept to a minimum from oxidizing and safe from spillage. The condition is excellent. There are no chips. Cracks, or nicks of any kind. You are bidding on a beautiful 1880s Aesthetic Movement small pitcher or creamer. 4-3/4" tall. The silverplate frame has largely lost is plating, and the brass is visible underneath.
