The reverse has 5 stamps, the third and fifth, from left to right mostly obscured, but probably the lion passant English sterling stamp and the crowned panther head mark for London. The maker mark, WE, is probably William Eaton. The kings head profile duty mark is the next stamp. The fourth stamp is the year mark, l, for 1786-87. The label is around 2” at its widest and 1 1/2” high. It was around 1/2 ounce. The label is in excellent antique condition but perhaps needs a polishing.

Antique Solid Silver Sherry Decanter Label - No Chain

Measures 4cms across at widest point. In pretty good condition but needs a clean. Hallmarked with the lion and duty mark but no date letter or town mark. Duty mark suggests its possibly late 18th/early 19th Century. Maker's mark TH. See picture below. Full refund given if not entirely happy with this item.

Found about 5 years ago at the best estate sale I've ever been to in Estacada. Oregon. The owners who were deceased traveled the world, showed horses and lived in a great log house on the Clackamas River. First time listed on e-bay. Great heavy glass and hammered and painted or enameled silver Paden City Glass Art Deco era decanter set. Betty Mae line and per research I have done this is a rare find in sterling silver overlay but please note I cannot find any sterling hallmarks I am just going on research found. No silver found damaged or missing.Great bottle with ground glass and hammered silver metal lid has stretched hammered silver over the stopper and ends of the bottle and edges of the matching tray. All there. Apparently there were originally cordial glasses that also went with this and sat on the tray but these are long gone, ... morebut would not be difficult to replace for display/use with others. Please see all photos. First; the tray is approx 10 2/8 inches from handle to handle and 6 inches wide. Thick glass with painted silver edges and handles. The glass is thick with waves and some bubbles. Just the way you like to see old glass. The bottle sits in an edged area on the tray so it does not slide around. It is approx 6 inches wide and 5 inches tall with the stopper in place. The front is etched with vertical lines. The ends have hammered silver over the top. The neck and rim are painted or enameled silver. I have not touched the silver which has aged patina. Should polish out great if this is what the new owner wants to do. I leave that up to the buyer. The stopper is glass with a ground glass stopper and hammered silver top that has been covered over the glass. No markings seen. No cracks. No chips, no damage. 3.33 pounds unpacked weight. The Markers Mark is Marked JTH over JHM with 3 bumps over and under it for John Thomas Heath& John Hartshorne Middleton(All shown in pictures) The other Marks on the Silver are on the bottom side(Birmingham Mark date mark and lion Passant) the middle side( Maker Mark plus Birmingham& Lion Passant) the clasp of the buckle(Birmingham Mark and Lion Passant) finally on the inside of the flip buckle enclosure there is a reference number 771702 or 271702(unsure of first number) additional numbers below and another hallmark to the left of it. This is a Highly collectible and very sought after Decanter is in excellent vintage condition. There is only 1 flaw on the entire item. The midsection of the wicker has a broken or dislocated piece on the wicker weave(Shown in my pictures) This could be fixed by a professional. Aside of this is in extraordinary original condition! There are no other flaws or damage aside of one break and the standard silver oxidation which some collectors like so I did not have it polished. One has a little wider cover lip. The Stoppers are complete. One has a“fracture” Bottom of stem, but it seems to be internal. Both have chipping/fleabites along stem bottoms. The One Stopper with the“fracture” was hand-blown and is hollow. The other Stopper is Solid. Each are similar size but have a little different shape. These two really complement each other. Solid Silver Brandy Decanter Label - 1977 - the Queen's head inc. in hallmark
This is a very nice item made in the year of the Queen's Silver Jubilee. 1977. It is solid silver with exceptionally good hallmarks, as can be seen on the photographs. It has the maker's mark, HU(Hampton Utilities) the anchor and lion passant. The date year is the letter C which stands for 1977. In that year it was optional to mark silver with an additional mark, the Queen's head to show that the item was made in the Jubilee year. It weighs approximately 15 g and is 6 cm long and 3 cm high with a 16.5 cm chain. It is edged in a shell and scroll design. I also have the whisky decanter label with exactly the same hallmarks for sale.The photographs above show the front and the back and a close up of the hallmarks. This is a remarkable and very beautiful large silver wine decanter of stunning design. The ewer has a superb curved and ridged neck with a wide flared pouring spout and lid with a horse finial. The horse ... morewalking on grassed ground. The neck of the decanter curves gently and widens as it turns and ends in a wonderful scroll above the oval base. The ewer has a beautiful ribbed handle with chased acanthus leaves that goes from just below the top of the neck to the top of the scroll. The decanter is large. It is 7-1/2 inches/ 191 mm wide and 4-1/2 inches/ 114 mm deep. It stands 13-1/2 inches/ 343 mm high and weighs 841 grams. The decanter has clear hallmarks- lion passant crown and letter H for Sheffield 1851. Duty mark and maker's mark HW for Henry Wilkinson. The decanter is in excellent condition with no dents. 1960s Galbiati Milan Silver Plated Decanter with Dragon Handle Buton Bologna
I am selling this terrific old silver plated decanter. Incredibly still sealed with the original wine inside. The Argenterie(silver plate) was commissioned by G. Galbiati of Milano and the wine distillerie was Buton of Bologna. Both Italy. The decanter measures 11 1/2 inches tall and the handle is a dragon figure. The condition is good; it has the odd mark and scratch. But overall is nice and clean and in fine fettle for the age. I have no idea what the wine would taste like! Antique Chinese Export Sterling Silver Overlay Decanter, Dragon & Bamboo Case
A stunning antique Chinese Export solid sterling silver overlay pinch decanter dating from the first half of the 20th Century. The decanter is three sided. Each side has a different motif: Bamboo; Pagoda. Junk, and waves; Dragon with clouds. The stopper is in the form of a chrysanthemum. The bottom is marked STERLING 925 which is a typical marking for Chinese export sterling silver of this period. The decanter is a nice size and measures approximately 9 inches tall without the stopper. And is approximately 4.5 inches in diameter. This is a fantastic piece and would make a great addition to any collection. Chinese export silver is highly desirable and increasingly difficult to find at reasonable prices. This is a great piece with a grass wheat type cut design. The top and handle are naturally aged silver. The pitcher has a inner tube for ice and as you pour liquid passes the ice and cools without diluting the beverage. Above the tube is a basket that allows you to pour with pulp or strain so you have no pulp. I have seen these listed as a Martini. Wine, Tea or lemon aid pitcher but I am not sure what they were intended for. It is large at about 11 ½“ tall. About 7” across the bottom and from the spout to the handle is about 9” Across the top is 4 ½“There are no markings on this but a# 234 in the lid, so I am not sure of the age or origin. A lovely Victorian glug decanter in fine antique condition. In quatrefoil form with pinched waist the decanter has four channels for liquid to pass from the lower bulbous section to the upper. The glass is in excellent clean condition and free from any cracks or chips. The silver mount has four seperate pouring channels that form a beautiful floral shape. The silver is in fine polished antique condition and free from any marks other than from polishing. The silver is hallmarked: WN over GN. Lion passant, leopard head and S, indicating the work of the London silversmith brothers William and George Neal in 1893. The charming little stopper is finished with a globe shaped lift that catches the light reflecting from the silver beautifully. It is in great condition with a few inconsequental nibbles to the end. The decanter stands 24cm tall. The base is 10cm square. One image includes a standard beveridge can to give an idea of scale. A beautiful Victorian glug decanter. We accept paypal payments.
