San Francisco Sterling 9160. The base is marked: SHREVE& CO STERLING San Francisco 9160 Base Loaded. On the plate is a small red mark: B838 4. The compote is in very good condition. The silver has a few crimping marks on the underside of the rim(last photo) The top of the compote angles slightly to one side. Which is noticeable at just the right angle. I tried to photograph this with 2 window photos, where in the 2nd photo the compote may look lower on the right. This is not generally noticeable when you have candies or goodies on the top and you are mostly looking down at it! The compote weighs slightly over 1 pound. The 6" plate weighs about 6 ounces. I do not know how much the loaded base part weighs. But there is quite a bit of sterling silver in this piece. Still it is too pretty to take apart. Almost antique. This is a beautiful compote and it would make a very nice addition to anyone's dinnerware collection. Minton's"Persian Rose" is an older pattern that was used on the"Blue Star Line" See Maritime Commissary information for steamships. Please view my other auctions for more collectibles and antiques. VINTAGE ROYAL SEALY JAPAN LARGE COVERED VASE COMPOTE CHERUBS
Beautiful and detailed Royal Sealy Japan covered vase or compote. I really don't know how this piece was actually meant to be used as it is so unique. Not marked. However, due to the strong similarities between this item and other marked Royal Sealy items, I feel confident that this is the same maker. It is quite large at almost 12" high and approx. 5" wide. There is an adorable cherub on the lower section as well as one on the lid and the red bird is a nice color contrast as is the bright gold highlighting here and there. Condition is actually very good, especially considering it probably dates to the 1950's or possibly even 1940's. There are no chips or repairs that I can see. Paint is pretty much 100% intact and the gold shows very little, if any, wear. It does have a light hairline crack on the one side of the bottom ... morepart which is approx. 1" long and is located near the top edge and does not go thru to the inside(see photo 4) The lid also has what appears to be a small hairline crack on the backside at the lower edge, however, it looks to be glazed over and probably occurred during manufacturing(photo 7) There is some overall light crazing which is not easily visible unless you're looking at it very closely. The photos are magnified so any crazing appears more evident than it actually is with the naked eye. Please note that in the photo which looks down into the vase portion there are some yellowish streaks running down it in a couple of places. These are not cracks, but likely glaze which dripped and ran down the inside. This piece is a real keeper and if I had a place to display it that's what I'd be doing. A Vintage LE Smith Glass Moon& Stars Covered Compote. Measures 12" in height and 8 1/4" in diameter at the widest point. It's very large and heavy. CONDITION: The bowl portion is in nice shape with only a few small rough spots/scratches along the rim where the lid rests. The lid has a good deal of damage. The top finial has a large chip. There are two large chips on the inner rim of the lid and a bunch of other fleabites and roughnesses. I purchase all of my items at auctions. THIS AUCTION IS FOR A VINTAGE NUDE CHILD CHERUB MAIDEN FIGURAL TAZZA COMPOTE CENTERPIECE WITH BEAUTIFUL ETCHED CUT GLASS COMPOTE WITH MARBLE BASE. I believe this is pairpoint but I am not certain as the base is covered in green felt but the figure is very similar as is the design on bottom of bowl to a pairpoint tazza. The brass base is sitting upon black marble and has a glass/crystal piece the figure is standing on. I am uncertain of the metal the maiden is composed of but it has a dark patina which was hard to capture with the flash. The child holds a georgous cut/etched/engraved glass compote which is attached with a brass finial. The only thing I could find to note was pictured in the last picture where there is a line in the glass under the finial. However. This line can't be felt from either side so it is totally inside and probably ... moreoccurred when center hole was cut and it is completely covered by the finial. The cut glass has amazing detail and the edges of the bowl are scalloped in a lovely pattern. The bottom of the marble base is covered in felt and is attached with a screw. What an elegant look for your table or entry way. The compote would also display fruit or pastries elegantly at your next party. The Gold coating was applied their Patented All Over Gold technique. Or“ AOG” The specific design on this Candy Dish is referred to as: Daisy and Rose. This beautiful piece stands 3½ inches tall and is 6¾ inches in diameter. At the top. It features smooth edges at the base, but scalloped edges at the top. The Gold Pickard Hallmark is on the underside of the Base. Which is White. The Gold stamp has“ PICKARD” in the scroll. With“ CHINA” beneath it. Vintage Egermann Amber Cut to Clear Footed Compote Bowl

Up for auction is a rare large and heavy Reed& Barton U.S. Coast Guard silver soldered silverplate compote or serving bowl. This large U.S. Coast Guard bowl has"Reed& Barton" and"Silver Soldered" and"3510" and large"U.S.C.G. letters imprinted on the bottom of the bowl. There is also a parachute symbol stamped above the"Reed& Barton. It is in beautiful used condition. This compote bowl measures 10 inches across and is about 5 inches high. And is very heavy. A fantastic vintage decorating piece with in a bright cheery yellow by Haeger. Marked#70 USA. This planter could be used for a candy dish, centerpiece bowl, display piece, towel holder in the bathroom, gift basket for a baby shower, at a beach party- the possibilities are endless! Planter measures 5" high and 5.5" at the widest part of the top. The base is 2 ¼ in diameter. It is in excellent condition! I cannot see any chips. Cracks, scratches or repairs. Vintage Ornate Pressed Glass Candy Dish Pedestal Small Compote Appetizer BonBon
This offering is for a small vintage pressed glass open candy dish. Could be used for soaps. Appetizers, potpourri, small compotes or relishes, centerpiece displays, button collection, or? I know, because I've used it for most of those ideas, but I simply have too many similar dishes. This one measures 5 1/4" across the rim and stands 4 3/8" high. I'm guessing it's from the 1930s or'40s. It's ornate, with a quite solid diamond, flower, ladder design. A very pretty piece, with no cracks, no chips, no problems.
