This is a lovely older piece of Fenton Art Glass in the Thistle pattern. It's beautiful cobalt blue carnival glass. It's 5 1/2" high and 5 7/8" across the ruffled top. It's in very good condition. 2 small fleabites on the base at the seam lines, or they could be flaws in the glass. Also some discoloration in the very bottom, I'm not sure if that is normal or not. MOON& STARS L.E. SMITH VINTAGE CLEAR CRYSTAL 10” FOOTED COMPOTE WITH LID We are pleased to offer this lovely compote and lid in the clear/crystal Moon& Star pattern manufactured by the L.E. Smith Company in the 1940’s. This heavy pressed glass pattern features stars and ovals. This compote stands 10” tall and 6 ¼” in diameter at the top opening and 4” at the base. This is very heavy glass weighing approximately 3 ½ pounds and has an elegant feel to it. All the points of the lid are clean and chip free. This piece is in excellent vintage. Overall condition considering its age with no cracks or repairs. The only exception is one small chip on the underside of the lid which is not visible when the cover is on the compote. We tried to capture the chip in the photos. Otherwise it has no fleabites. Scratches or staining. The glass ... moreis crystal clear and very shiny with no cloudiness. As you can see. The piece is incredibly beautiful and unique. Just a lovely piece of vintage L.E. Vintage Federal Madrid Depression Glass Lidded Compote
This lovely depression compote was USA made by the Federal Glass Company. Their'Madrid' pattern was made between 1932-1939. The clear pressed glass measures app. 6-1/2"H(3-5/8" to the dish top) x 6-3/4"W at the rim. It sits on a 3-1/2" Footed base. The wide, flat border and inner dish are decorated with feathered paisley patterns. A loop design circles the foot. The inset lid has a dome shape with ridged corner angles and paisley feather pyramids between. A round knob sits on top. It is in very nice condition with no chips or cracks. Vintage slag marble footed candy/compote dish with lid and finial custard/carmel
This is a hard to find footed bowl with a lid. I believe it was made by Houze Glass Co. of Pt. Marion PA. It is slag marble. I don't know if you would call it a candy dish or a compote dish. I haven't seen another one like it before. The color is a custard background with caramel and brown swirls. The lid has rim on the inside with a finial on top. It is approximately 6 inches tall and 5 inches wide. It does have a small nick in the lid on the edge and what appears to be 2 small abrasions on the edge of the bowl. Vintage American Brilliant Period ABP Cut Crystal Compote Bowl Candy Dish - 11"
Vintage American Brilliant Period ABP Cut Crystal Compote Bowl Candy Dish Beautifully sparkling crystal from the early 1900's Fabulous Condition This compote has an 8-inch diameter bowl at the top with interesting round-scalloped edging. Stands 11-inches tall and weighs a hefty 4lbs-12ozs(2.155kg) The bottom has a 20-point hobstar. The pattern seems to be closest to Straus(from NYC) and most resembles the flower motif; a 12-point within a 16-point larger hobstar(snowflake) with hatched long leaves underneath and an 8-point oddly shaped star in the middle at the bottom of the pattern. The 5-1/2" diameter bottom base is a 20-point hobstar. There doesn't seem to be any discernible damage. Air bubbles, nicks, chips or otherwise…except for a minor amount of wear on the bottom base where it rests. Description Vintage Chintz Summertime Compote This is a lovely vintage Royal Winton Chintz compote in the highly sought after Summertime pattern. This compote has is fancy shaped with five round sides and five smaller scalloped sides on the foot. This sweet plate with its fancy. Subtle gilt scalloped edge with the edges gilt all around on the foot and top. The bottom of the compote is marked Royal Winton Grimwades Made in England Summertime. The backstamp is from the early 1930s. The gilders mark is also painted in gold on the bottom. This piece would complement any Chintz or Royal Winton collection or perfect for a bon bon or compote collection. The compote is in excellent condition.
