Vintage tin granite ware compote with red faux mahogany vinegar wash
This is a really cool item. 9" in diameter on top and about 3.5" in height. The compote is made of tin and had a granite ware finish that had a red mahogany faux was that looks to be applied in a vinegar base. It was applied over yellow and a dappled mettle bowl. The effect is to give it a 18th century look of red wash over wood. This is likely early 20th century tinware but could be a later 20th century craft piece. In any event at the price. Vintage Marigold Carnival Glass Footed Compote~Embossed~Fenton Fine-cut Flowers
This is a great compote dish made from irridescent marigold glass. It has an embossed pattern/design on the outer surface of the bowl. Take a look at the colors in the photos. The color goes from a deeper redder color in the center to a pale pearly yellow up the sides and darker again along the outer edge. This coloring makes it an EXQUITELY BEAUTIFUL piece. The base is clear glass with a starburst design pressed(or cut? into the bottom. There are some small bubbles which were trapped within the glass base when this dish was created. I don't see any chips. Cracks, or other damage to the piece. It is just over 5 inches tall and 6 inches across at the widest part of the bowl. I am a newer seller(and recently retired teacher) and I am having fun so far and"meeting" some nice people as I reduce the items in our lives. a IMPERIAL GLASS a Vintage Carnival Glass Marigold Large Compote Over the next several months I am listing a large number of collectibles belonging to my aunt. She was an avid collector of a variety of beautiful treasures. Including Hummel, Limoges, Royal Copenhagen, Royal Doulton, Belleek, Christopher Radko, Murano and Fenton Glass and many, many more, including Nolan Miller, Joan Rivers and other fashion and fine jewelry, artwork, books and household items. Please check out my store to see all of the wonderful pieces from her private collection. This item is a large compote pedestal bowl hand-crafted by Imperial Glass and dating back to the 1950 s. This compote is carnival glass which has an iridescent almost mirror-like finish that reflects a rainbow of colors. The color is marigold– a beautiful brilliant orange. The bowl of the compote ... morehas a scalloped top rim with a zigzag edging and the side of the bowl has two different pressed patterns that are each repeated four times around the bowl. The stem of the pedestal is smooth and has etched vertical lines that separate it into four sections. It tapers toward the bottom of the stem before flaring out to the base. The round pedestal base also has a zigzag edging and a pressed pattern on the bottom. This elegant Imperial compote is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs and has been in the family for over 55 years. It still has the original blue and silver foil sticker on the base. Although one side of the sticker no longer sticks to the glass. On the bottom is stamped the trademark“IG” This marking was first used in 1951 and was registered with the US Patent Office in March 1953. It is referred to as“I super-imposed over the G” or simply“IG” This marking was used until 1977 when the company was sold to Lenox. This pedestal compote measures 7 3/4” high by 7” wide and the base is 4 1/2” across. The stem is 1 1/2” across at the top and 1” across at the narrowest part. And the glass is 1/4” thick. The compote weighs 2 1/2 pounds. Made in U.S.

Offered for sale is this lovely tall footed compote in Royal Copenhagen porcelain's now-discontinued Blue Bouquet pattern. Each piece of Blue Bouquet is hand-painted today. Just as is the case with its more famous cousin, Blue Flower. No two pieces are exactly alike. The blue of Blue Bouquet tends to be a bit darker than that of Blue Flower; the blue is a bi t more steely in tone. B ut the"feel" of the two patterns is the same. And the y work together beautifully on the same table. The compote measures 8-1/2 inches in diameter at the top. And is 6 inches high. The diameter of the base is 4 inches. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or discoloration. The piece is fully marked on the bottom with"Royal Copenhagen- Denmark, the trademark three wavy blue lines, and the pattern and piece numbers 45/9046. The bar above Denmark ... morein the mark indicates that this piece was made in 1937. It is interesting that both the bowl of the compote and the base are individually marked. The shape looks as if a coupe soup bowl were put on a pedestal base to create this graceful compote. Here we have a rarer piece of Opalescent Carnival Glass from the former Dugan Glass Company of Indiana. PA. Dugan produced glassware under its own name from 1904-1913, then as Diamond Glass until 1931. This particular piece is a peach colored compote in the Starfish pattern with jeweled hearts on the exterior. It measures just over 3" high. 6.5" across the ruffled rim, and has a base diameter a little more than 3.25" across. The opalescense is on the rim and underside, leaving the iridescent carnival glass treatment to sparkle in the dish interior. This compote is in very good condition with no cracks or serious chips, but does have minor"flea bite" chipping around the clear glass base rim. This is just a beautiful bowl. There is a 701 on the bottom but other than that there are no markings. Looks like it has 2 washers on the underside and one on the top. Metal and rubber. This buy it now is for a compote bowl. It is a cut-to-clear dark ruby red and only has a partial tag on it which reads"Genui" and"Boh" I believe this to be a Egermann as I have another piece I am also listing that is clearly marked and they look very. Very similiar. This bowl is in excellent shape with no chips or cracks. There are some air bubbles in the glass which is common with old glass. The scenes around the bowl are a house, a bird, and a deer. The bowl is 6 1/2" tall, 7 7/8" across on top and almost 4 1/2" across on the bottom. I will pack very carefully and will insure it. I have up for sale this beautiful and very rare Westmoreland Compote. It has a petal design around the top edge. It is marked with the Westmoreland- Keystone mark ca. 1910-1929 which was used by WMG. The bowl measures 7 in. high and 7 in. across the top. The pictures do not do the actual dark cobalt color justice. The color is so blue there is purple color when you look thru the glass. It looks almost like a vaseline glass glow. This is definitly a rare find. There are three white spots on bottom of footed rim, it looks like whitish paint but it may be whatever is left of some sort of furniture protector bumpers. I haven't tried to get it off. This is about 6 3/4" high, about 9" across, about 4 1/4" foot. This could use a detailed cleaning around the scalloped rim, I did a brief one but there are curves and crannies that I might have missed. Vintage Westmoreland Glass OLD QUILT White Milk "Honey w/Lid" Compote & Lid
Offered for sale is a piece of vintage Westmoreland Glass milk glass in the Old Quilt pattern. The piece is called"Honey w/lid" The piece stands 2 3/4" high without the lid. The lid adds another 2 1/2" to the height. The box measures 5" square and has a low foot. The bottom of the foot is marked WG. There is no damage. Chips or cracks.
