Unusual Tall Ladies Victorian Boot Stand Alone Accent Display Piece or Vase
This is a very unusual and unique accent piece fashioned as an old Victorian style high ladies boot. This piece is a blend of black and gray colors. The red you see in the pictures is just reflection. This piece is about 10.25" tall and 9" long. I believe it's made of a glazed porcelain material although it is quite sturdy and the bottom seems to have a chalk feel. It could be used as an accent item on a shelf. Table, window sill or even the floor. It would also work well as a unique vase. It was purchased at an estate sale.

But we have seen similar items made by Rogers. Wonderful"trumpet" style with reticulated edge and handle. Nice graduated base. stands about 15" tall including the handle. About 10" from side to side(including handle) and about 7 1/2" across(not including handle) at the top. Weighs 425 grams. We cleaned this piece in an effort to try and find the name of the manufacturer's name or a date and were unable to discover it. Up for auction is a beautiful Victorian vase. It is mostly green with some yellow highlights and decorated with roses. There is also some gold painted trim. It measures 9 1/4 inches tall. 5 1/4 inches at the widest part of the lower body and 3 1/4 inches across at the base. It is 5 inches across from handle to handle. There are a couple of numbers on the bottom. It is in great shape. All I notice are some small places of finish wear and a dent like place one the back that must have happened in manufacturing since it is under the glaze. I don't see any chips or cracks. There are three gold painted handles and three images painted on the sides. One image depicts a woman sitting on a branch. The other two sides show two fairies with butterfly wings and Gibson girl like hair. The inside is more white in color and is decorated with flowers and green ribbons. There are no apparent cracks. I picked this up today in a local estate and truly it is one of the loveliest pieces of Victorian glass I have had in awhile. The colors. Style and painting really make this exceptional. It is a blown glass vase with a melon shaped body and a wide jack in the pulpit pulled and twisted neck. The color at first looked amberina to cranberry, but once I washed it I could see the greenish vaseline color at the base. I do not have a black light so do not know if this is uranium vaseline- hopefully you can judge by the photos. Either way it is fabulous. The glassblower really got this one right, and the artist who painted the lovely blue and golden yellow flowers complemented the design of the piece beautifully. The vase is in very good condition. This 3 3/4" tall. 3 1/4" diameter vase has a milk white exterior and a pink interior. The lower portion of the exterior was painted so it resembles peachblow. The maker is probably Mt Washington but there are no maker's marks. Condition is very good, the coralene beading being 95+% complete. There is one thin sliver chip to the edge of one ruffle on the top rim. I've attempted to show that in the closeup but all that shows is the missing gold. Up for sale is this striking Egyptian Revival loving cup or vase. Made by the Simpson. Hall and Miller company it features two detailed pharaoh heads at the top of each hand. At the bottom of the handles is a lotus flower design. It has 4 feet each of which displays a richly detailed face of a king. Nice scrollwork on the front and back. It's dated 1876 on one of the feet but I couldn't quite get a good photo of it. Needs cleaning. Has a small dent(1/2" x 1/2" on the front(maybe this can be pounded out somehow? Measures 5& 1/4" high. Almost 4" from front to back. Measures 5& 3/4" from pharaoh head to pharaoh head. A handsome and keenly unique piece. Will ship wrapped in bubblepack in a secure box. The glass is semi-opaque. The pontil scar is a creamy white dots chip-only 1-no another defects. The vase from France 1850-1880s. There are no maker. Only marks# 29" The piece measures 6 3/4" high. Top open 1.3/4" in diameter at the mouth, 4.5" midle in diameter and the base 3.5" The artwork is in good condition with some marks and fading of the gold trim. The gold trim has faded and has some weak spots.There are signs of use on the interior but no scratches or heavy mineral deposits. Overall. Antique Victorian era mantel shelf spill vase and match holder of bisque porcelain. 11 1/2" tall. 5" across the base and 3" deep at the base. The back is impressed"9986 GERMANY" It is also marked with the DEP mark and a manufacturer's mark that looks like an overlay of G and I or H. This is one of those whimsical pieces that appealed to the Victorian taste- a young boy with a gathering basket looks down to the base of a ladder at an excited little dog. Except for a few accents of metallic gold, the only painted portion is the boy and his basket, the ladder and dog are unpainted matte white. There is a narrow opening on the back of the ladder that could hold spills and the basket would be an ideal place for matches- they would look like gathered wood ... moreand could probably be struck against the textured exterior of the basket. At some point in time, the basket was broken off of the piece and has been glued back in place. From the front side, it looks in perfect condition and is only noticeable if you know where to look. From the back, you will notice the broken line of separation on the boy's back and at the top corner of the basket. The subject of the decoration is a beautiful Blue Wren Bird perched on Dogwood Flowered Branches. This is a tall lamp it measures 27 1/2" up to the pink finial. This is probably one of the more spectacular antique Mercury or Silvered Glass pieces we have ever carried. The size alone speaks volumes(yes. It matters in the Mercury Glass world! The green is quite bright, almost a chartreuse. There are flowers strewn along the side. The interior"vase" portion is intact. It's true that the vase is missing its glass plug in the base. It does screw off main body for transport and will be packed separately in the same box. Very ornate center column with shell type dishes. Stunning Victorian satin glass pitcher/vase. Rich Raspberry at the lip dissipating in white at the base with applied clear satin thorn handle. Very tactile feels like a smooth wax slippy texture. Has some hand enamelled decoration which looks like a Kingfisher sitting on an oak branch. Also has raised patterned enamel clear nodules in the glass. What a beautiful antique vase by Jean Pouyat. Limoges France. This Victorian style vase is a joy to look at in a lovely large floral design. The colors are bright, bold and outstanding. This hand painted handled vase is marked with the#543, and bears the official J.P. Limoges France makers mark on the underside. The mark indicates that the piece was made between 1890 and 1932. The condition of this vase is remarkable, despite its great age. It is adorned with heavy gold trim, yet there is no paint loss to report. There are no chips, cracks or crazing, as it appears just great. The body is done in a soft green shading to yellow on one side, and the other is in soft pink shades. Both sides feature lovely deep colored flowers with green foliage. The artist truly created a visual masterpiece. The shape is very regal, yet also very graceful. The actual opening measures approximately 2-1/4" in diameter. Good vintage condition overall. No cracks or chips. It features multicolored hand painted enameled flowers(orange. Yellow with green leaves and 22k gold accents) on the front. This hand blown footed vase has a rough pontil mark on the bottom and a fluted scalloped rim. It stands 6-1/8" tall and measures 2-1/2" across the bottom. The gilt along the ruffles is almost worn away. It has two little black dots on the back(shown in photo) otherwise it is in excellent condition with no nicks, chips or cracks.
