Victorian intricately cut and hammered silver rose vase with glass liner
This is a Beautifully hand made piece of 800 silver. The ammount of workmanship you don't see in other pieces from the same time period. This vase is close to 11 ounces in 800 silver not including the glass insert and it measures 8 1/4" tall by 4 3/4 X 6 1/4 inches wide at the top and 3 3/4 x 3 3/8 inches at the base. It is marked 800 and below that is a diamond shape almost star like and then a line or sword and crown next to it. I have not seen anything like this as far as all the detail truly a silver craftsman.

This listing is for an exquisitely hand painted vase by Josef Ahne. It is signed Ahne at the bottom right. The vase is Bohenmian opal glass in the Bristol style. It measures 10.15" tall. And has an ovular cross section- measuring 4.65" by 3.7" across the top. It has beaded enamel decoration on the reverse and foot. There is loss to the gilding at the top and bottom, and a few specks of paint missing from the hat, otherwise it is in excellent condition with no glass damage, and an absolutely gorgeous realistically detailed painting. Antique English Victorian Pink Cased Glass Bristol Enamel Daffodil Vase - No.'d
If I called this lovely color deep burmese pink it would be more accurate. But I'd open myself up for a lot of trouble! Rather, it is a beautiful mauve which cases hand blown milk glass. The ornate enamel painting depicts daffodils* a favorite subject of the Victorians. The condition is just terrific! Free from all blemishes great and small. There is excrutiatingly minor paint loss- a tad of gilding on the foot ring(see photo#11) and a bit of accent gilding. The rest of the enamel is very very strong and free from chips. The number"13" is hand painted on the underside of the foot. But I've yet to see any of it's relatives 1 thru 12. I've seen similar vases, but the neck opening is peculiarly small- making this vase unusual. It's tall enough to hold one long stem, perhaps a daffodil or iris from your garden? Up for bid is an old victorian pink and white swirl vase. Encased in a metal frame with four small feet. It appears to have a crest of some sort on the top of the metal part. It measures 10" tall, 12" around at the thinnest part, 19" around towards the base. It was purchased recently from an estate sale. And I haven't found anyone who can tell me what it is. The only marking is inside the metal part, it says PAT-APP(see photo) I wish I knew who made it. CONDITION: A little bit of greening along the top of the metal- very minor. Oxidization of the metal in some parts. Most notably, It appears to have either an imperfection within the glass or possibly a crack. Made of solid silver. The curved sides are decorated with openwork foliage, with four supports, and a short cylindrical open neck, to support a bowl or a vase. This is hallmarked with the lion passant sterling silver mark, the leopards head town mark for London, the date letter is'Q' for 1891, and the makers mark is'S.J' overstriking another) probably Samuel Jacob. This measures 10.2 cm in width and 3.6 cm in height. The aperture for a bowl or vase measures 6.4 cm in diameter. It weighs 43 grams or 1.38 troy ounces. ANTIQUE ORNATE VICTORIAN CHERUB DOUBLE VASE – EXCELLENT
This Victorian vase is porcelain and measures 4 ½” tall x approx. 6” wide at the top and 2” deep. The cherub is adorable with exquisite detail and this piece has no chips or cracks. There are gold splatters on the base and vase and the vases are also trimmed in gold. Pink flowers are very detailed and leaf edges show a bit of rosy. Dark pink to match the petals on the cherub. The bottom shows some faint circles that were probably from felt to protect the piece of furniture it was sitting on so many years ago. There are no markings on the bottom. But may be hand painted. This came from an estate and is a great decorative accent for that shabby chic room.

LOVELY LATE VICTORIAN. NOUVEAU? VASE, HANCOCK, SONS, ORIENTAL DESIGN. Just some wear of the gilding and has natural age crazing. The stamp mark is for Hancocks and Sons. Registration number, 654769, Oriental in style and I think at the beginning of the Art Nouveau period? I am not an expert but just have that feeling with the English artists starting to make their own interpretation of Oriental design? If anyone has any more specific information i would be glad to add to the description. Lovely antique spangle glass vase. The interior is white. Covered with pastel pink and blue colored glass cased in clear glass. It is loaded with silver inclusions. The vase was made in the late 19th century. The amount of silver inclusions, the colors and the smooth pontil lead me to believe this was made by Hobbs and Brockunier, but I do not have a firm attribution. It is 8 1/2" tall. Antique Mercury Glass Bottle Silvered Glass Liquor Decanter Vase Suncatcher Antique Victorian era Mercury silvered glass Decanter Liquer Bottle or Vase. I am pretty sure this bottle is double walled. Handpainted white enamel flowers. Old heavy blue luminous glass with enamel work and gilt. I am not sure if this is a decanter.Wine liquor bottle or vase decor piece. It could have had a cork or glass stopper. The bottle opening seems small for a vase and large for a candle so perhaps it was a decanter? It is an interesting old piece with that lovely mercury silvering glazed effect. I decided it might be part of a decanter set. Perhaps it had matching wine glasses at one time? I have never seen anything like it. Based on research I would put it in the Victorian era. Please confirm my description this is not my area of expertise. Condition: Some ... moregilt.Silver glaze and enamel wear. The silvering glaze has Round spots drip marks where silver glazing is missing mainly one area. Silvering has sort of rippling effect. These Glazing issues not very discernible. You have to hold it to the sunlight to see. Looks like it was meant to be part of the decor. There is matching raised scrolling on front, with additional embossed scrolling below, and there are black, yellow, and red flowers inside the additional embossed scrolls. It has an ovular profile formed by casing an opal glass in a gorgeous salmon color. On very unusual crystal dab loop feet, with stylized acanthus leaves springing directly from the feet. c 1890. Similar pieces are found in the book"Victorian Decorative Glass British Designs. 1850-1914. by Mervyn Gulliver pages 48 and 66. Rim is finished with applied crystal trail. Then deep wishbone crimped, and finished with wishbone ... morepincered apex. Amazing salmon color which changes in hue depending upon the light. Goes from a beautiful Salmon to a rich tomato red. Outstanding condition! Just two very very light. Very small scratches seen to surface of salmon body which could easily be polished out. Rolled in silver foil, and cased again in crystal, and then formed into an unusual cylindrical profilef with a bulb in the neck, and with a bulbous shape bottom. Rim is ground flat. Foot is fired smooth crystal. Cased glass with pink. Canary and white spatter along with the addition of silver foil for a pretty silver spangle. The colors are outstanding. Beautifully applied ... morespiral pincered trail worked in the shape of stylized daisies. Alot of skilled craftsmanship went into the making of this little gem. Dates to around the late 1800's. Measures 9 3/4" high by 5 1/4" wide. The glass is about 1/4" thick. It was my husband's grandmother from Melrose, Massachusetts. In doing research I discovered Bohemian glass- this might be this. There is a frosted etched scene of Pheasants in the Forest. There are lots of Great details. The Vase does have some chips on the top in a section which is 3 1/4" The chips are not sharp. There is also a 1/4" imperfection on the glass. I have taken photos of the chips. This is a freeform individual bud vase in a kind of snake design, antique piece of porcelain. There is a reddish smudge on the base, which may once have been a hallmark, but it is impossible to read. The measurements of this delightful vase is 10" in length, and the tallest and biggest"bud" cup is 4" in height. As you can see in the photos, there is accumulated water discoloration on some of the"buds" and there is also ... morea small crack repaired on the far left"bud. Otherwise, its condition is good. Glaze under magnification is crackled from age. I believe this to be quite rare, as in all my years at auctions and antique shows, I have never seen one like this. Beautiful Antique ivory milk colored glass Vase with Carved roses. When I bought this vase at an antique store they told me it was alabaster. However I think it is glass from the feel and sound of it. It is opaque but not shiny like milk glass. It seems to be quite old. You can really see the artist's hand in the piece as the lip is not perfectly symmetrical nor are the flowers. Very unique. It would be lovely in a Victorian house or even a shabby chic design. The height is a little over 6” The width at widest part is 5.5” The opening measure across 3.5 inches In excellent condition however it needs to be cleaned on the inside. ANTIQUE SILVERPLATE CELERY CONDIMENT VASE FIGURAL VICTORIAN RACINE SLVER CO.
This wonderful celery vase is hallmarked in the bottom Racine Silverplate Co. Quadruplate and the numbers 752. That dates it to between 1873 to1882. Racine Silver Plate Co. Racine. WI 1873-1882 In 1882 moved to Rockford, ILand renamed the Rockford Silver Plate Co. after a firedestroyed the factory. The celery is great, the silverplate is about 70 per cent there(see picts) with no breaks to the metal and no dents.It stands on four feet goes to a wafer then up to leaves and a flower on either side, all decoation done on both sides. The handle goes to the top and has a circle,some swags and a droo ping bow right at the top.The celery holder has a ring border of a vivid v pattern and tinly circles with flowers in them.And leaves between the v pattern. There was a glass incert that came with the piece. But it does not go all the way down to the ... morebottom of the silverplate cup, so were thinking just for looks and the glass is not original to the piece, but we will include it in the auction any way.There are the letters l&h on one side.This was sealed years ago to keep it from turning black, this can be removed by placeing it hot water over night, then pealing it off.
