Crystal pitchers do not command much attention, but this Victorian Glass pitcher is something very special. From the pitcher's design to the extraordinary gold filigree decoration(different design on either side plus on the handle) and finally the highly pleasing transparent green color on the upper third of the pitcher makes this a true work of art. Whoever crafted this Victorian treasure were skilled craftsmen not concerned with quantity only quality. T here is gold striping on the base. The top rim and on both sides of the handles. T he very fine gold filigree pattern on both sides of the pitcher plus on the top of the handle incorporates flowers. Leaves and vines around more traditional filigree designs. T he green shading color at the upper ... morethird of the pitcher is the perfect shade of green for the crystal pitcher. Colors come and colors go. Antique Victorian MERIDEN CO. Silver Plated Double-Wall Ice Water Pitcher 1868
19 TH CENTURY MERIDEN BRITANNIA COMPANY SILVER PLATED SERVING PITCHER This is a fabulous Meriden Britannia. Double walled, quadruple silver plated, ice-water pitcher with a white enameled liner. It is marked on the bottom. Meriden B. Company" with Patent dates of June 13, 1868 and Nov. 3d, 1868. It is numbered 229. It measures approximately 11 inches tall at its highest point. 11 inches wide from handle to spout, 6 inches in diameter across the top and about 7 inches across the bottom. It weighs approximately 5 lbs 5.5 ounces. Insulated Ice Pitchers are a fascinating bit of Victoriana. A very popular household item providing a source of cold water prior to mechanical refrigeration. These ice water pitchers were very expensive, anywhere from $12 to $24 in 1870. The double walled construction was intended to keep the water cold using air ... moreas an insulator. Small holes drilled as drains into the lid and the bottom of the pitcher are a part of the double wall design. This pitcher has been cleaned. But may benefit from further polishing. It does have quite a bit of silver loss, particularly the lid, spout& handle. I, personally think that, in some ways, it adds to the vintage appeal of the piece, although it would certainly be grand re-plated. There are a number of dings and surface scratches. There is a small dent just to the right of the spout. Another small dent in the lid may actually be part of the design. The hinged lid fits nicely and works well. There is a slight bit of rusting inside around the bottom edge and spout, but it does hold water and does not leak. Please look carefully and enlarge pictures to see details. This particular piece is simpler in design than many of this era. Yet still quite elegant with fluted detailing around the lower half and lid. No etchings. All in all this piece is a fine little bit of American History and would make an excellent addition to any collection. I have tried to describe this item as accurately as possible and to the best of my knowledge. But I am not an expert.

Very Rare EAPG Delaware Pitcher & Tumbler Victorian Bedside Water Set - 1899
Very Rare EAPG Green Delaware Pitcher& Tumbler Victorian Bedside Water Set made by U.S. Glass Company in 1899. I have never seen a pitcher with this top. This has a rare cemented pewter embellished top instead of the traditional glass one. Beautiful emerald green color with lots of gold. Very little gold loss. Water pitcher is approximately 9-1/2" high and 5-1/2" across the bottom. Has typical pontil mark on bottom. Tumbler is approximately 3/12" tall. In excellent condition. Very heavy-pitcher alone weighs over 3-1/2 lbs.

Brockunier, Co. during the late 1800s. The pitcher is in the Dewdrop pattern and it has an applied handle, a tri-spout, and a smooth polished pontil mark on the bottom. The pitcher is made of vaseline and cranberry glass in what is referred to as Rubena Verde which glows brilliantly under a blacklight. Overall it stands approximately 8" tall. This is a stunning and difficult to find piece! Item Condition: The overall condition of the pitcher is very good. It is extremely clean with no chips. Cracks, or broken areas except for a few of the hobbs which have chipped over the years as was typical with these. Looking quickly, I see four ... morethat are chipped. I feel no fleabites or knicks on the top rim and there is minimal rubbing to the base. The color is very nice and the clarity of the glass is excellent with no cloudiness. The applied handle displays no heat checks. You can expect to find the typical flaws of older glass to include airbubbles. Victorian satin glass white ewer pitcher, metal handle, HP floral, 10 1/2" tall
On auction is what I purchased about 20 years or so ago as a Victorian ewer. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks or hairlines. The opening at the top is a little rough. See photos. Top opening is a little larger than 1/2" in diameter. I believe someone used this as a vase because there is still some residue at the bottom. It is approximately 10 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" wide at widest point(middle not including handle) The handle is some kind of metal. Don't know. A magnet does not stick to it. The handle is secure but a little loose, as you can turn it. It is hand painted and there is a little wear here and there. This was not made for KMart yesterday, so please don't expect brand spanking new. This has age! In excellent condition except for 1 small 1/4" chip on one of the large lids as pictured. Gold edges show some light wear on some pieces. Both large lids are the same size and are interchangeable. Long, tall satin glass ewer or pitcher. This piece is American made in the late 1800s. The rim is ruffled and the long neck tapers into a round body. The applied clear glass handle has a frosted finish and is done in a free-form style that sort of resembles a tree branch. Painted in raised enamel yellows, white and blue is a lovely design. The condition of this piece is excellent. There is some dirt inside of the pitcher and some frosted white marks, also on the interior, but these are minor. There are no cracks, no chips, no splits, no repairs and no other problems of any kind. The pitcher measures 10 1/8 inches tall and is 3 1/2 inches from handle to tip of spout. Eye-catching Victorian pitcher made by William Brownfield& Sons. Cobridge, Staffordshire, England. I think the year code is W, which would make it around 1865. But I am not positive, as it is hard to read. Circa 1860's- 70's anyway. On one side are three dancing, winged fairy princesses, and on the other, a pair of jester/ musicians. The figures are very appealing, with wonderful graphics and an almost flow-blue quality to the coloring. The upper part of the pitcher has a"Greek Key" motif. The piece has uniform crazing from age; it is darker on the bottom and inside. Plus minor wear to the gold. I see no chips or cracks; it is in very good antique condition. Approx. 7.5" tall, 8" wide. DUTCH Antique ROSE ewer pitcher SOCIETE CERAMIQUE MAESTRICHT 1890- 1900 Offered for bidding is a LARGE antique Art Nouveau decorativeewer or pitcher from Société Céramique Maestricht(now Maastricht) Holland(Netherlands) It is made of white ceramic(possibly ironstone) adorned on bothfront and back with a printed image of beautiful red roses against a greenbackground. It has a sleek flared shape. Tapering to a narrow top. It wouldlook lovely as a vase with tall dried flowers and grasses in it. Seal of theSociete Ceramique Maestricht with a Lion in the center. Under the seal is S.B605.With a#5 under that. Decorated withRoses and colorations. Gold accent on rim and handle. The pitcher stands a huge 10 inches tall to the highest point. And measures 6.5inches in diameter at the flared bottom. The pitcher is old. And has wear and ... moredamage consistent with its age. There is crazingof the glaze. Fortunately any discoloration is limited to the inside of the pitcher. The plate bears the Société Céramique lionemblem on the bottom. With the words"Société Céramique Maestricht"around it in a circle, and"Made in Holland" in block capitals below. There is also a raised-relief mark on the bottom, consisting of an oval with theword"PariS" inside(the P and S are capitalized) Societe Ceramique is one of the companies in Maestricht. Holland that producedceramics. Four different printed marks with a lion in the center areillustrated in Kowalsky's ENCYCLOPEDIA OF MARKS on p. 650. Made inHolland" was added to the mark in 1891. Here is a beautiful antique Gaudy Welsh tea pot. Guessing circa 1890- 1910. It has an orange, brown& cobalt blue floral lustre design with gold gilt accents. It is in very good condition, except for a small amount of paint on the bottom of the handle- would clean off but will leave to new owner. I find no damage to the teapot or lid. The bottom is unmarked except for the numbers indicating who the artist was. The tea pot measures 9" wide from spout to handle and stands 10" tall. Gaudy is the name of a Welsh pattern"Antique Imari decorated earthenware" which was mostly made in England. This lovely teapot has been displayed in our smoke free home for over 20 years. H ello- This gorgeous Green Bohemian Pitcher is hand blown. With white and gold REFLECTIVE decorations. The gold is begining to fade off from washing and scrubbing too hard with water. When you walk by the pitcher it REFLECTS the movement in the room, but as I said it is begining to fade, but should remain as is if you just GENTLY wash with soap and water. The pieces are Uniquely Decorated with Sky Blue Lines and Gold Stenciling against a Semi Vitreous White Background. With its many pieces and Great Blue and Gold colors. The Set Displays Wonderfully and would instantly become the Decorative Focal Point of any room. Finding sets with this many matching pieces is becoming increasingly hard. Yo u are viewing a n late 1800's silver plate water pitcher with working hinged lid. The piece is insulated. It measures about 12" t all to top of finial on hinged lid and is about 11.5" at widest point from tip of spout to end of handle. The pitcher has a lovely handle with a griffin figural design and the spout has a classic finial with a bu st of Miner va beneath it. The design on the sides of the piece is that of urns and shafts of wheat- a truly classic Victorian piece! I see no maker's marks on this piece. It is of good weight and i n very usable and displayable condition. The p itcher has normal s cuffing and wear. A s is consistent with use and its age. There are a few areas of shallow denting. But nothing that detr acts from either display or use of this piece. Minerva's nose has been a bit flattened over time ... moreas is. Again, con si stent with the age and use of this piece. Silver plated Victorian JUG/PITCHER c.1897 by Latham & Morton: Magnificent
Description this is an extremely nice quality silver plated jug/pitcher with a scrolled ebony handle which has a thumb stop. The bell-shaped hinged lid has a cute handle, the jug is to tapered design with'Ribbon& Reed' borders, it os marked on the base as per seventh photo, denoting the silversmiths as the illustrious Thomas Latham& Ernest Morton of Birmingham c.1897, the interior is stained as to be expected, the body has sustained some dimples of the years which do no overly detract from this otherwise very impressive item so in our opinion, and opinion is subjective, there are no major issues, other than aforementioned, as there are no repairs, just normal surface scratches dings dimples and blemishes commensurate with age and use, but please look at photos to make up your own mind: height: 7 5/8"19.3cms diameter@ ... morebase: 4½"11.5cms We give this description to the best of our ability. Beautiful antique Victorian Moser pitcher from the 1880's to 1900's. This pitcher has enameled deep red pansy flowers with gold enameled etching accentuating the intricate floral design. This vase measures 14 1/4" tall and is an unsigned Moser. There is an very slight chip on the base of the vase that is barely noticeable. There is normal wear one would see on the yellow stained glass on the top 1/3 of the vase but nothing to detract from its beauty. An awesome addition to any art glass collection.
