Crafted by Meriden Britannia Sliver Company. Who were established in 1852 in Meriden Conn. Highly regarded for their outstanding designs and quality, they were among the leaders in forming International Silver Co. in 1898. Makers mark on the bottom. DETAILS* This piece has damage to the liner. There is a hairline on the inside and a large chip on the spout. Both of which I show in my last 2 pictures. It shows wear to the finish, but not knowing anything about this type of item I have left it as I found it. A magnet does not stick to it so I'm thinking the base metal may be brass. It measures 14-1/2" without being in the stand and the bottom measures 7" across. The bottom of the stand measures 10" across. It weighs a ton, but shipping will be included. Circa 1850-1870. But please make up your own mind about this. The pitcher measures approx 11 inches(280mm) tall. And is made from solid brass throughout. Interestingly it is very much in the style of staffordshire pottery jugs from the mid Victorian period. And whilst I have seen many examples in blue and white china, I have never seen one modeled in brass before! It is in good original condition with very light wear consitent with its great age. But no major damage or repairs. There are a couple of dings on the body. see photos. It would easily polish up to a bright finish. But this is a choice I leave to you. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN 5&3/4" SYRUP I don't know the maker on this piece. It is in good condition. The plate is very good. Not worn off with exception to the spot I showed on the very bottom. Pretty floral and scroll pattern with a wicker covered metal handle. The wicker is in fine shape. No cracking. The hinged cover fits nice and snug with no issues. The only issue is there is a slight impression to the right of the cartouche(spot where there would have been monograms) You can barely notice it as you can see in the photo. The patent date on the bottom also has the pattern number of 2760 which is hard to read. It is a beauty. Shiny silver plate and no monograms. There is a very slight ding which I have tried to photograph in picture number 3 but it is very small and didn't show up well. The syrup features an ornate boarder of roses and other flowers on the upper and lover rim and the design is repeated on the handle, around the base of the rim and has a large bouquet of flowers as the finial. I am selling an 1800’s Victorian Meriden Britannia Tillting Water Pitcher. It is a unique and very impressive Victorian silverplated tilting water pitcher Circa 1868. The overall height of this elegant piece from the bottom of the cradle to the top of the cradle is 20" The pitcher standing alone has a height of 10.5" The height of the cup is approximately 5" The bottom of the pitcher. Stand and cup have the Trademark Meriden Britannia Company symbol along with the number 35 stamped into the bottom of them. The pitcher has the Meriden B-Company symbol along with the following two patent dates: June 13, 1868 and Nov 3,1868. The pitcher has its original porcelain liner interior in excellent condition; no chips, scratches or stains, a nice clean white color. Victorian Water Pitcher Quadruple Plated Tilting
This is a Victorian Water Pitcher and Stand. It is Quadruple Silver Plate made by John Carrow. A silvermaker in Pennsylvania who was in business about 1884. The pitcher has a brite cut pattern typical of Victorian times. Pitcher is in relatively good condition(a few dents and scratches) with the exception of missing finial. Pitcher is 12 inches tall& stand is approximately 16" tall. Pitcher has a heavy patina and can be gently cleaned with a good quality silver polish, but it will not achieve the bright shine we are used to today. I purchased this pitcher from an antiques dealer in Concord. NC about 8 years ago. I had an online appraisal performed in 2012 which gave it a Fair Market Value of $175. Nice rare victorian Insulated Ice Tea/ Lemonade Pitcher. On the bottom is a stamp that reads Rogers& Bro. seal with triple plate inside just above an engraving that reads: Patd June 13. 1868. This is fascinating and apparently they started making this type of pitcher right after the civil war during the reconstruction period. What is strange is another patd Nov 3 1868 right underneath the other engraving with the numbers 281 under the center underneath the patent engraving. This is an antique for sure, and a very beautiful piece of craftsmanship and metal work. This is a lovely Victorian claret jug with a silver plated top and base. It is in very good condition with no loss of plating or damage either to silver or glass. All of the silver plating is extensively decorated with vines and grapes. The hinge to the lid works perfectly and the thumbpiece is also designed as a vine leaf with grapes. The ornate handle is firmly fixed again with grape decoration and this is repeated on the raised circular base. Decoration to the glass is varied and beautiful with the mixture of plain and cranberry glass striking. Overall a superb Victorian claret jug in excellent condition which probably has never been used. Height 13.5 ins(37cms) Weight 49 ozs(1405gms)

Crafted of quadruple silver plate, this pitcher was made circa 1880 by the Wilcox Company of Meriden, CT, one of the finest American silversmiths of the period. Finely chased on each side with a large maple leaf encircled by a leafy garland and oval in design, the body of the pitcher is supported by hoofed animal legs. The applied handle is ample in size, smooth in feel, with just ... morethe right amount of curvature for a fine grip. The top of the handle has a place for the thumb to rest, which features a whimsical figure. The hinged dome lid and the flap on the spout are in excellent working order. The interior, darkened with age, is in fine condition. The pitcher is beautifully embossed throughout with no dents, dings, or repairs and has a fine patina. Rare Victorian Cranberry Overshot Crackle Glass Champagne Pitcher
This beautiful and unique champagne pitcher belonged to my father-in-law. Who was a collector of fine glassware and china. This had been a center piece on their mantle for many years. It is a fascinating piece. The handle is quite substantial, as it would have to be to support champagne, but it is also ribbed and rather snake- like in appearance. The body of the pitcher is hand blown, after going through quite a process to become crackle glass. Then overshot glass. This was no doubt time consuming and took an artisan with both skill and patience. It is in mint condition. I will be glad to answer any questions if I can. Up for sale is a beautiful James W. Tuft Victorian Silverplate Square Pitcher. According to my research on the internet. I believe this Victorian Silverplate Pitcher dates from 1800 to mid-1800's. It is square in shape and stands approximately 9" tall to the lip and is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" The lip around the top of the pitcher is a little wavy. Otherwise this piece is in great shape. Gorgeous Victorian Pitcher! Love this shabby chic treasure! Wonderful ornate blue/green design with flowers. Scrolls, leaves, on a HUGE embossed vase/pitcher! In amazingly excellent condition considering this is an oldie! Although I am unfamiliar with the pattern and there are no markings on the pitcher. I believe this to be Victorian and from Staffordshire/Stoke-on-Trent. It would have originally had a water bowl underneath, and quite possibly an entire'dressing' table set. My favorite of these pieces is the pitcher, because it's versatile, practical and holds anything! This one is particularly large~spout to base is 11 inches and spout to(gorgeous applied) handle is 10" The inside is white and clean but it looks like someone stored water inside and much of the inside has(shiny) glaze loss that you can feel. It is the largest that I have ever seen! The pitcher’s base is 7.25” in diameter with a 15” height(to the tip of the topper) the stand’s base is oval in shape and is 11” x 10” The stand by itself is 14.5” in height. Victorian Antique Pitcher white Porcelain with Gold Decoration
Small Fancy Porcelain China Victorian Pitcher that could be utilized for water. Or gravy. Very lovely and is dated on base to what looks like 69, in flow blue, along with a symbol that looks like it could be crossed swords, but there are also many more markings scratched into the clay. To me it looks as if it says Ga 152 done by hand and glazed over. There is a very small 30 stamped into the base, as well. There is a very small minor slit from when it was made, as it was glazed over on the side that shows. Was this made in 1830 or 1869? who knows, one look at it and you can see that it is extremely old. There is gold decoration on the floral pattern and around the rim, but some has worn off over time. The Glass Bottle portion is superbly and deeply cut throughout with an amazing Chipped Ice pattern design to the neck which I am told is regularly found on Baccarat examples and the whole Pitcher does have a French look to it, though I could not find any markings. The Ewer is in excellent all original condition with some light wear throughout and fleabites but no chips, cracks or repairs. The Ewer is also a nice large size for modern use measuring approx 10-1/2" tall by 6" wide across the body and will hold 950ml or 32 U.S. Fluid Ounces of any beverage you wish. Large antique Bristol glass ewer pitcher with cherubs Victorian
This ewer is hand blown and is decorated with a scene of two cherubs at play. The ewer is 12 1/8 inches tall and is made of Bristol glass. The ewer is cream color with a tomato color base. It is hand blown. The handle is gilded but some of the gilding has been lost. This dates to the late 19 th century. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. There is a glaze skip on the back-it is not a chip. There is also a dark spot on the side.

For auction: A sweet little Antique Victorian Silver Plated Cream Pitcher/Jug. It is in beautiful condition with no dings or scratches and has lovely detailed engraving. I purchased this little jug in an Antique shop in Cornwall. England in 1979 and it has been displayed in a glassed cabinet ever since. It measures: 2 1/2" high(3" including the handle) 4 3/4" from spout to handle and 2 1/4" wide. It is hallmarked NB 7512.

Beautiful antique pitcher or creamer with floral etched designes on both sides. The spout and handle have embossed as well to add to the whole Victorian appeal. Made by Hartford Silverplate Co. Marked on the bottom with company name and logo- plus guad. plate and 1409. This creamer is in great antique condition. Most of the silver is still there. It could use a polish for sure. Antique transferware child's pitcher. Two little girls hugging on the front. Very sweet. Gray luster top border. Very faint pinkish red marks on bottom(I'm guessing it says"made in Germany" as I have other pieces from that era that have that stamp) There are 2 tiny brown spots under the glaze. As can be seen on the pictures, one on the inside top and one on the bottom outside. They are not chips or cracks, but happened during manufacture. 3" tall x 2 1/2" wide. The images are much sharper in real life. My camera, or the operator, did not get the pictures to show as crisply as they really are. Please ask any questions. Thanks for looking
