The set was made in the late 1800's by the Meriden Silver Co. located in Meriden. Connecticut. The set is silver plate and has a lovely filigree style Victorian handle and footed base. What makes this set extra rare are the two matching glass inserts with original stoppers. These are perfume bottles and they have fantastic hand painted greek depictions that are just breath taking in detail and craftsmanship. This is a really impressive set. The set stands at about 9.0 inches in height and has beautiful deco designs embossed on the base of the stand. The stoppers are clean and ... morefree of any chips as are the bottles. There is some paint loss around the very rim of the bottles, some gold paint but not very noticeable. The bottles fit perfectly into the castor stand as they should and the the castor is clearly hallmarked on the bottom with the Meriden logo and production numbers. This is an exquisite antique sterling silver and cut crystal victorian perfume bottle. it is very detailed. In nice shape, with a wonderful patina from age. the lid has a nice ball top and opens and closes on a hinge in the back. inside is a corked top and where the perfume would be filled. the bottle is cut from crystal. In great shape, and has a wonderful design. it measures 3 inches long. it is overall in nice shape. There are some very small dings in the lid. Up for auction is a lovely Victorian Cranberry Hobstar Etched Cologne/Perfume Bottle Jar This piece measures 5' tall and has heavy etched designs with flash cranberry glass with gold gilding. This item is FREE TRACKED postage to any country. This is an antique ladies double scent- perfume bottle as well as being for smelling salts- vinaigrette too at the other end. It is a dark green cut glass. facetted sides. a small one actually. the larger white metal end is a little dented and knocked and I can see NO silver hallmarks on it anywhere. this of course does not mean to say its not silver as alot of similar items are not marked.MY PRICE has nothing to do with the metal content.its the ANTIQUE VALUE of the item. So this larger end. you simple unscrew it to see the inner cork of the lid and a nice gilt thread collar around the bottle. a nice mouth too. no damage. The other end is ... morea FLAT top. you can see the square hinge at the back.so simply lift the lid. hinge it up to see the gilt interior grill which has been fine chip carved engraved. looks like a little pepper pot. now then be carefull here. quite often this little grill hinges off or pulls up.this one you MUST unscrew the whole top lid. see the photographs. inside it has the small sponge. The bottle is in two sections. perfume being the larger one. the bevelled shoulders of the bottle are all good.a very nice bottle for any collection. Up for a no reserve auction. Is a gorgeous and rare, pure sterling silver overlay perfume bottle, made by fine American silver makers, Alvin. The sterling overly is so beautiful and features two iris blossoms among art nouveau era swirls. The bottle and stopper are in overall excellent condition! The perfume bottle measures 3" tall and 2 3/4" wide at the widest point. The stopper is original to the bottle and has the number 881 etched on the bottom. The bottom of the perfume bottle is also marked 881. The sterling overlay is clearly marked"999/1000 Fine 3110" with the Alvin hallmark. There is a blank cartouche with no monogram in the center! Vintage Victorian Clear and Gold Perfume 1880's-1920's
This is a lovely Victorian bottle possibly from Rimmel(used in the travel trunk boxes with two or three bottles)It is a clear glass bottle and stopper of rectangular form. 3" in height. The stopper is numbered"3" on the bottom.The bottle has traces of perfume left inside. The shoulders. Top of the stopper and around the neck are decorated with gold. Both the shoulders of the bottle and top of stopper are decorated with a floral motif. The stopper comes out easily. There is a small chip and a flea bite on the bottom edge of the bottle and the base has a polished circular indentation. The black mark on the rim of the bottle in last picture is a shadow. This Victorian bottle is complete with secure hinged cover and attached fine chain. Having the jump ring present to reattach the one end of the chain. The round bottom of the bottle is out of round, as the photos will reveal. Some wear on the round convex bottom, otherwise the gold filled metal is fine. It has the bold embossed design more typically found on the handles of canes and umbrellas, this example resembling repeated arched palm leaves. It appears to be gold filled, though there are no marks present. The hinge works pervectly, not at all loose. It measures about 3 1/2" long. This is an antique 3 PERFUME- SCENT BOTTLE CHEST.as you can see it looks like a treasure casket- chest with the gilt brass fittings and ther large handle on the top of the curved lid. First the box.its a brown leather with black edge trim and the brass chip engraved decoration. typical of the Victorian period. a swing up handle too. in the centre of the curved lid it has a circular porcealin roundell. this is hand painted with an unusual picture. a CAT is being ridden by a DOG in a jockey outfit.the front of the casket has a very fancy brass key hole escutchion which matches the lid. there is NO key. the ... morebottom of the rectangualr casket has 3 of the original 4 MOO COW spherical ball feet in situ. one is missing. Right. the lid lifts off as the hinge has ONLY been leather. pity they had not put proper brass hinges on it. anyway it comes off in your hand. see the brass lock part on the lid. this is nearly worn thru on one side. the casket has a lovely pink velvet lining. and 3 square section clear CUT glass with ground glass stoppers.these bottles fit perfectly in the slots. the bottles are clear glass with polished concave bases. cut and bevelled corners and shoulders.6 sided neck and lip which matches the stoppers. 1 bottles has an underside lip chip. and all 3 are cloudy and mucky inside. I have not tried to clean them. they may clean and they may not. it matters not to me as this is a really nice PERIOD FURNISHING Antique box and will look well in the period home. you dont need to use such an item do you. Plus I sell alot items to TV- FILM studio prop departments. as well as folks that have period B&B- HOTELS etc. and they make great go-withs. The casket is 6 and 1/2 inch long x 2 and 3/4 inch wide x 4 and 1/2 inch tall.

Victorian Scent Bottle or Perfume Bottle with Hand Painted Floral Decoration
Up for auction is a very nice heart or oval shaped Scent bottle or Perfume bottle. There are no chips or cracks and the stopper/glass rod is in perfect condition. The only condition issues are some corrosion on the metal band on the neck(this could be cleaned but I will leave that to the buyer) and some very minor paint loss on the face where the flowers are hand painted on. The bottle really is in very nice condition. The bottle has been in a private collection since the 1960's. Item will be send priority mail because of its delicate nature.

Lovely Antique Victorian Emerald Green Pressed Glass Scent Perfume Bottle 1890s
You are invited to bid on this lovely emerald green antique Victorian scent or eau de cologne glass bottle. Dating to approximately the 1890s. The body of the bottle is moulded with diamond and fan pattern decoration. The bottle has quite a wide neck so I think it may have been for cologne or perhaps even smelling salts. It has a beautiful moulded solid glass stopper with with ground glass neck, to ensure a snug fit. The glass is quite thick so it looks quite dark, but it is green. It is decorated with moulded diamond decoration with a flower shape to the top. The bottle stands 4.5" tall including the stopper. It bears no maker's marks. It is in generally good condition with no cracks. There are a couple of tiny nibbles to the rim. And a small bruise to the shoulder.
