MINIATURE CORKSCREW PERFUME MEDICINE VICTORIAN WINE BOTTLE OPEN FRAME SPRUNG
This is for a fabulous little miniature Victorian perfume bottle corkscrew from the 1890s. It is superb example. Really clean and well preserved and it displays beautifully. It has a delicately turned little handle and is a smaller version of the wine bottle corkscrews with an open frame and spring on the shank that exerts force when the worm penetrates the cork making it easier to remove. These miniatures were used for removing the little corks in both ladies scent bottles and sometimes medicine bottles, this one is likely to be perfume as it has its original tassle still attached. It is in excellent condition with no damage to the steel and only nibbles around the handle. It measures 60mm(2.3" long and is 28mm just over 1" across the handle. Lovely Boudoir Art from Yesteryear- Lovely Perfume Bottle From the Past! Purchased at estate sale. From lovely home. With many quality antiques, and a number of other perfume bottles. Exact age unknown. Nice size. About 8.6 inches with both caps. About 7.25 inches for only bottle. These came together. And were clearly the clever work of their mistress. The top of the bottle is threaded; what ever went there has been neatly replaced with a sterling silver stopper(marked"sterling" with initials engraved on top(see picture) This is surmounted by what appears to be a coin silver topper, marked with a crown(see picture) There is some residue inside bottle; we did not attempt to clean out. Victorian Scent Bottle Silver Miniature Perfume Jewelry w/ Dauber Chain Necklace
This is a little scent bottle probably from the Victorian Period around 1850-1900. It is very small measuring only one inch tall with the dauber screwed on. It is only 3/4" inch tall without the stopper in it. There are two small holes on each side at a corner to allow the rings of the necklace to attach to it. The way the necklace is attached. It looks like the chain is original. I haven't been able to find a mark on this one yet. We don't know the country of origin or what the material is. It looks like it is probably sterling silver, but it could be plate. There is scratching to the sides, but I didn't see any base metal underneath. It's very tiny though and I'm having trouble with seeing it up close. Scent bottles were used for many years until the modern age of deodorants and hygiene. This was my great grandmas perfume bottle so it's at least 100 years old and most likely much older. It is in mint condition with no cracks or flaws. Antique Victorian Ruby Cased Crystal Perfume Bottle
For your consideration is what I believe to be a Victorian era antique ruby red cased crystal perfume bottle. Approx 6.75 inches tall. It is in beautiful condition with a few scratches on bottom and flea nics which only show when you pick the piece up and turn it over. This is sold as found. As is and does not have a lid or atomizer. The detailing is gorgeous with what appears to be hand cut stars and a diamond like floral or cross pattern around the piece. The inside of the bottle looks like a white glass. The metal top looks as if it could be a worn gold wash with tarnish and wear This metal top is firmly attached and does not unscrew which makes me think it had an atomizer and/or cap at one time. Divine Opaline This is a lovely piece of blue opaline glass; a large stoppered cologne bottle with detailed gold and enamel decoration. Likely made in France around the turn of the century. Though unmarked. The cylindrical bottle has a narrowed neck, flared rim and original hollow stopper. Both pieces have a pontil from the hand-blowing process. The opaque blue glass is perfectly set off by the hand-painted decoration; gold lines and scales with colorful enamel flowers. Given its size, it was likely made as a cologne bottle. A beautiful piece sure to complement any collection! This is a small perfume of smelling salts bottle with brass mounts. The bottle is made from blue opaline glass and is 2 inches long. The brass lid has a flower stamped on it and the bottle has a design painted with white enamel and gilding. The bottle is most likely English and dates to the late 19th century. Rare Unusual Late Victorian Antique Oak Jewellery Box, Combined Perfume Tantalus
Offered for sale. A"Rare& Extremely Unusual" Late Victorian Antique Oak Jewellery Box. Combined Perfume Tantalus. This Deliciously exquisite and most unusual item is simply a delight. And a genuine curio of the Victorian era. It was clear that a fine lady would need to protect her treasures from potential light fingered servants, however it seems there was also a need to ensure her expensive perfumes were not being surreptitiously dabbed on the neck of the housemaid and it must have been derived from the“Butlers Enemy” the drinks“Tantalus” first shown at the great exhibition, that the idea of combining a version of this with a lockable jewellery box must have come, hence allowing both valuables to be displayed whilst at the same time protecting them from use by the staff. It is unclear when the first of these were made and how ... morewidely they were used and for how long they were popular, clearly nowhere near as widespread in use as their counterpart the drinks Tantalus which is borne out by their rarity today. This example is stunning and in really very nice condition, it consists of four cut glass(probably Bohemian) perfume bottles themselves in lovely condition with only a couple of flea bites on one of the stoppers to fault them. The jewellery box opens at the top with lockable hinged double doors which also secure the bottles in the Tantalus; the doors also have superb bevelled glass panels to allow the jewellery below to be viewed. Inside there are three red leather lined compartments two of which have red leather covered tilt-top covers and are silver embossed with the words in old English script“ Hair Pin s” the central compartment is open. There are a few scuffs and minor age and use related marks to the leather but these are only very much what you would expect, indeed require of a used item of this age. There’s a secret drawer“there is always a secret drawer” particularly with the better pieces, this is where you keep the good stuff and is laid out as a bespoke jewellery tray, it is at the bot

It measure about 8" tall to the top of the bird. 5 1/2" wide from one holder to the other. The metal on the stand either bronze or brass with ormolu. The stand has a beveled oval shape mirror. Around the mirror has flowers design, and decorated with a bird on top. A hook under the bird to hang the pocket watch. The bottom has a jewel box with five thick beveled glass. Beautiful Victorian Clear Glass Footed Perfume Bottle Floral and Foliate Brass Overlay Design Stopper with Brass Flower Top For Your Old Perfume Bottle Collection Details Description: This is a gorgeous clear glass perfume bottle with a tight fitting stopper having a glass dipping rod. The bottle which is made of clear glass. Has around squat shape and the stopper has a brass top in the shape of a bursting flower. The bottle has a nice brass overlay with a solid round base and four feet on which the bottle rest. The brass overlay is shaped in a beautiful floral and foliate design with the flowers being on the bottom and the foliate being on the sides and top of the bottle. The bottle has a round recessed base with the round brass ring holding the feet sitting right on its edge. The bottle has rounded sides which flares outwardly then back ... moreinwardly and tapers at a round neck where the stopper would fit. The whole piece has beautiful decorative appearance and is very much Victorian in design. The brass stopper has a glass dipping rod in its center which goes down about 2 two third of the way to the bottom of the bottle. Please carefully review the photos provided as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: Late 1800 to early 1900s. Origin: Purchased at an estate auction in Lancaster Pennsylvania. Distinguishing Characteristics- Most Interesting About The Piece: The piece has a nice shape with very interesting brass overlay and a beautiful and unusual brass stopper.
