Similarly there is no size marked on the Thimble- Measurements: Diameter base thimble 1.6cms Diameter base etui 1.8cms Diameter crown of Thimble 1.2cms Height thimble 2.5cms Height étui 3.5cms The Thimble& Etui are in Excellent condition. Just the silver could do with some polishing, but I would rather leave that to the'experts' See the pretty engraved pattern around the center of the Thimble with also a'shield' engraved ready for initials! The Thimble screws onto the base holding the scent bottle. This screw works perfectly. The indentations on the base of the Etui I feel sure are there for a reason. But I have found no information about them. The Miniature cut glass bottle has 9 facets with more. Even smaller, shoulder' facets. The stopper is in perfect condition and if you look closely you will see a pattern built into the top from air bubbles. I presume. The lower part of the stopper has been ground so as to fit well. Which it does. TRULY A RARE ITEM! Have fun bidding! I'm in France at present so postage to the UK will take a couple of days longer. I shall be sending it by trackable post.

The Box is nicely Hand Etch decorated top and bottom and the inside of the Box is richly Gold Gilded and with a fine engraved and pierced inner grill. The Box is in excellent condition for being over 175 years old. Both the outer and inner hinges are nice and sturdy and working perfectly. The Box also closes nice and tight and overall shows only the tiniest signs of age. The Box measures approx 1-1/4 inches by 7/8's of an inch and 3/8's of an inch thick with a quality weight of 15 grams. Antique Victorian Edwardian Perfume Ornate floral leaf Filigree Scent bottles tray not included in listing click picture to enlarge I pleased to be offering this antique pair of hand made mold blown glass scent/perfume/cologne bottles encased with a silver colored filigree overlay. This set comes with one round or globe shaped bottle and one cylinder shaped bottle. Both hand made. They have 3 visible vertical side seams stopping at the bottom neck of the bottle. The round bottle has a flared lip finish where the cylindrical bottle appears to have an applied lip finish. The round bottle and solid matching stopper have a swirl mold blown pattern which is felt from both the inside and outside of the bottle where the cylinder bottle has a smooth finish. Both bottles appear to have been made with removable base plates, however, they do differ, ... moreand the casing makes it difficult to examine. Both stoppers appear to have an original fit, although I question the stopper for the cylinder shaped bottle due to the metal casing not being an exact pattern match as well as it being the only piece to show wear to the casing. The stopper does fit into the bottle nicely as an original stopper would. Characteristics of glass are indicative of glass made in the ca. 1900 time period or earlier. Both created with an elegant silver colored leaf/vine robust casing. This could be silver plate or pewter(not magnetic) True composition remains unknown. These have been black light tested and glow a very deep fluorescent yellow color. Another sign of ca. 1800-1900 dated glass, with the exception of American Brilliant Period which typically glows Apple Green. Keeping in mind all black lights will result in different colors depending on the black light properties. I have tested many different types of glass. Early American Pressed, American Brilliant Cut, Depression Contemporary or Modern, Czech, and other European, and can now leverage my particular black light to distinguish, along with other glass characteristics, time periods and origins

Antique Victorian Glass Snuff or Perfume Bottle Hand Ptd
I have for sale a lovely black glass snuff/perfume bottle with hand painted designs. The designs are red roses. Blue flowers and white angels, each angel a bit different from one another. There is gold glitter throughout. There is some chipping especially on the angels on the edges of the bottle. Please study photos for details especially picture# 3. Antique Victorian Ewer-Style Miniature Gilt/Brass Perfume Bottle w Cork on Chain
Fabulous 19th century perfume flask/decanter/bottle. It is in a gilt metal or possibly bronze and is a very pretty ewer shape with a crown topped cork stopper attached with a chain. The main body has an intricate flower pattern. The foot is"petal-ed" and the"collar" of the bottle has yet another floral pattern. I believe these are referred to as"tear catcher" bottles. Great for a collection and of course to use. I have found other miniature collectibles online with the same ornate floral pattern but it is unsigned and I cannot seem to find any other info regarding this pattern or these miniatures. There is patina at the"collar" and under the foot of the bottle. The bottle lists to one side slightly and the foot"petals" are slightly turned up at the tips on two points. This is a stunning antique 19th century sterling silver and crystal trinket perfume bottle. the lid is marked"STERLING" on the side as shown in the picture. There is a big hair in the picture so just disregard it. the bottle has a very intense hobnail look which is long and thin and tapers from thick to thin as it get to the end. the top of the bottle is threaded and holds the sterling silver lid into place. the lis has great floral detailing wrapping the top done in high relief. it has a loop built into the back to be able to tie to a chain.
