These are very Collectable French Art Nouveau glass vases. The maker is Legras. One of the glassmakers of St. Denis and Patin, near Paris France. The ... moredate is circa 1910 The vases are 11" high with an elongated. Slender, baluster body, spreading to domed circular base 4" wide, narrowing at the neck 2 ¾" The signature is in green. 1 inch below the mouth and reads as"Leg. It is the signature that Legras used on the production that wasn't cameo or acid etched. Mont Joy-Legras& Cie, Verreries et Cristalleries) Legras produced quite a range of different and original art glass. However a significant part of their production followed the styles of Galle, Daum, Moser, Rene Lalique, Schneider etc. Sometime in the late 1920 Legras’s production of art glass effectively ceased. The glass is in at least two layers. A clear inner layer, and the outer layer with the yellow powdered colored glass added with a hand painted green cascading vine and tendrils design. There are no chips or cracks. There is some wear to the body commensurate with age and use and they would benefit from a professional clean. Not knowing how to best clean this type of glass. We thought it best to leave them alone! Please see our other French antique and vintage items listed. Following our house move in SW France. We are having a huge clear out of French Antique, vintage Collectable and household items that were found stacked away in the'Maison de Maître' that once belonged to the, Martell Cognac group. Really quite incredible antique French majolica or Art Pottery vase by Francois Laurin (1826-1911) standing 15" tall by 10" wide and weighing 9 pounds. ... moreThe scene is of children hiding in the discarded boots from a Mountain troll or giant who is peering over the top of a mountain or hill behind them. There are some flakes to the top of the glaze on the rim which is very common with this type of slip decorated pottery and a slice of surface glaze came off the underside which was badly patched. As you can see from the interior shot this was surface only and not a hole in the bottom of the vase.

D'Avesn was employed by Daum to design and supervise production at the Verreries D'Art Lorrain, a factory near Luneville(previously known as the Croismare Glassworks) which Daum had purchased that year in an effort to capture a larger share of the market for Art Deco glass, especially in the United States. Daum Nancy French Cameo Art Glass Art Nouveau Landscape Japanese Vase 10"x 4"
Size: 15 x 7cm/ 6"x 3" Vase is in very. Very good condition. A Short History of Cameo Glass A short explanation: Cameo is multi-layered glass on which a picture has been carved through glass the layers so that it stands out in relief from the surface. The colored layers form the contrasts of the picture. The word cameo actually applies to any carving in which the picture is raised above the surrounding surface; but in the glass world it is only used for carving where there is more than one colored layer to the glass. The surrounding glass may be cut away using hand tools. The oldest and most skillful method; or with hydrofluoric acid(which eats away untreated glass) To bring a glass product up to Daum Nancy quality a glass blower needs very high skills and experience. Most the best forms and images are based on the glass blower’s ... moreindividual abilities achieved after years of trial and error. Today the work is done as it used to be hundreds of years ago because no machine can handle the moulding glass as a man and a blowing-pipe can do. These processes allow the worker to feel the shape of glass just as an artist feels the shape of a sculpture out of a piece of stone. The object needs to pass several stages until it gets ready for sale. The process starts with the application of 3-5 layers of different liquefied glass colors which are laid to chill in the oven for a few hours. After that it is subjected to repeated paintings and acid cuttings to produce the floral or landscape design. The most important thing to understand is the fact that everything is hand made because no industrial processing can lead to the same quality. So while the shape. Colors and design may be similar for certain model of Daum Nancy tip product; in fact each one is unique. That also means that each individual item might expose some slight perceived imperfections, entirely due to the fact that no absolutely perfect shape can come out of a human hand. We acquire Cameo items in bulk from various locations in Europe on an AS-IS basis

American Victorian Glass Vase, French Blue Ruffled Over Pink Glass, Handpainted
Excellent condition. Antique cased-glass vase is made from a layer of pink glass, covered with a brilliant sky or French blue layer. It has hand-painted pink flowers and vines. The footed base once had a thin band of gold trim, but it appears to be worn off, this wear is about 1 1/2" long. Rough pontil on the bottom. No chips. Cracks, rough spots, stains or missing paint, other than the above mentioned. Vase stands just under 9" tall, the bulbous part at the bottom is about 4 1/2" in diameter. I am not sure of the maker. But it is cased glass, painted in the Mt. Washington style, but you may be the judge of that. It could even be an early Fenton piece, as they copied all the greats. I do know that it is old, and feel it is definitely part of the American Art Glass category. Vintage French cameo two color cutback vase with a scene of a lake with mountains and a building on it signed by Richard. Molted French Art Glass Pink and White Vase
Molted French art glass vase. Pinks and white. This piece does have some chipping along the top edge(see pic) The dark spots in the photos are dirt on the inside of the vase. It does need a good cleaning. Measures approx; 4 5/8" tall x 1 3/8" x 2 1/4" base. Payment is expected within 3 days of clicking to purchase or winning an auction. We will ship internationally. French Baccarat Cut Glass Decorated Vase
This piece has no chips. Cracks or repairs. I will be picky and say there is a small spot on white staining on the very bottom that you will have to look for. There is also a tiny bit of gold worn. Nothing outside of normal. The top part is panel cut and then there is an acid cut back design over that. It stands almost 7" tall and 4 1/2" wide. Its not signed but I believe it to be French and maybe Baccarat. Its a very well done piece. Satisfaction is always guaranteed. Thank you for looking and if you have any questions please email or call 860-786-8326.

Galle French Cameo Glass Design Art Nouveau Forest Trees BIG Vase 23"x 8"
Size: 57 x 19cm/ 23"x 8" Vase is in very. The oldest and most skillful method; or with hydrofluoric acid(which eats away untreated glass) To bring a glass product up to Galle quality a glass blower needs very high skills and experience. Most the best forms and images are based on the glass blower’s individual ... moreabilities achieved after years of trial and error. Quimper French Faience 13" Vase with Giraffe
Quimper French Faience Vase with Giraffe Measures 13" to the top rim and about 13 3/4" to the top of the handle. Condition- As you can see in my pictures. This piece is chipped and has a few scratches and generally shows it's age. It is still a fabulous and unique piece that displays beautifully. The mark is a bit blurred. But it looks to me like a Quimper mark used in the very early years as the 20th century.
