Almost 36 pounds. It measures 30 1/4" tall x 15" wide approximately(including distance to spout) The inside has a white stoneware crock that's still intact. The nickel plating is coming off in spots. There are small dents& dings throughout and the entire item shows wear associate with age& usage. The front has a plaque that reads"E.B. Adams Co, Washington D.C. The coffee pot is UNTESTED. L.E. Smith Tiny Hobnail Ruby Flash Glass Apothecary Jar Urn with Lid, L E Smith
This glass urn is in nice vintage condition. It has some wear to the ruby flashing here and there. The knob on the top of the lid shows more wear to the red color. There are a couple of light lines in the bottom of the glass bowl area that look like either a light scratch or something that was original to the manufacture of the item. I examined them under magnification and I just couldn't tell and I couldn't feel them when I ran my fingernail over them. I couldn't get them to show up on the photos either! There might be a tiny flea bite here or there and/or tiny bubbles in the glass from manufacture. Please ask if you have any questions and examine the photos carefully using the zoom function. Mother put a little bit of hot glue around the top edge and inside the lid to make it stop rattling in her china cabinet when people walked by. It is new(never used) purchased in the late 1990's for over $400.00. Has sat in a china cabinet since purchase. The hot glue will scrape out with finger and razor knife. Pre-Depression Cambridge/Paden Glass Cobalt Sherbets w/holders Urn and Swag
Credit has been given for these scarce and rare sherbets to both Cambridge Glass and Paden City Glass. I believe one may have bought the other in the 1920's. The circa is 1924. Pre-depression era. Price is for the set of two. Glass is perfect with no chips or cracks,even the glass stems that sit in the holders are excellent. Metal holders show some wear but who doesn't at 89, not to mention it's a difficult pattern to find, especially in cobalt. Diameter of the sherbets is 4" and sitting in the holder they are 3 1/2" tall. Even the stems that sit in the metal holders are perfect. I researched this pattern for years to find the pattern name and manufacturer. Replacements website shows this pattern also listed as Urn and Swag but they don't list the manufacturer as Cambridge or Paden City. And they also show only clear ... moreso cobalt has to be unusual. Beautiful Red and Crystal Art Glass Grecian Urn vase
You are bidding on a beatiful Red or Cranberry and Crystal Clear Art Glass Grecian Urn Vase. It is very similar to the Duncan& Miller grecian urn vases but I don't believe it is one of them as it has a round base and is more cranberry red in color. The vase measures 6 1/2" in height and has a round clear glass pedestal base. This vase was purchased at an estate sale in Sun City. Arizona. There is a small discolored spot on the outside of the body of the vase. It measures approx. 1/32 to 1/16" in diameter and could be a very shallow chip where something hit it in the past. Urn Finial Early American Pattern Glass High Standard Compote. This piece dates from the 1880's. I do not know the official name of this pattern as I could not find it in my books. It has a neat urn on the finial of the cover. This piece measures 13" high to the top of the finial on the cover and it is 8 1/8" in diameter. The condition of this piece is good. There are two small nicks to the handles on the finial and a ding on the side of the cover. There are no other chips and no cracks and the piece has not been ground. The glass is clear and bright. Flower pot at the top and also etched in the mirror. The top of this frame is the urn and it has been repaired. When we purchased this my husband couldn't believe the bad attempt to repair it so my husband took it apart and repaired it the right way. So from the front it's hard to tell it was ever broken off. This is about 37 1/2" tall and 19 1/2" wide(22" at the widest point) but the actual inside measurement would be 27 1/2" x 17 1/2" Both measurments are from the top of the arch to the bottom. They seems to be covered over with the stretch pattern so could possibly have been made during manufacture. There is a teensy fleabite on inside rim of lid. No other nicks. Chips or cracks. Blenko Urn Vase Item # 431S or 3512S Blown Glass Emerald or Deep Sea Green
I'm not exactly sure which item number this is. Both can be found in the Blenko catalogs found on the Blenko archive site. Google Blenko archive for the catalogs. I'm not sure of the color either, it has an emerald/blue/greenish color. It is a deep color. No chips, minimal scratching if any at all. Has a pontil. Is a heavy piece. Measures 7 1/2" tall. My Inv. I N 1B This toothpick holder is made of white& butterscotch colored slag glass. It was made by Akro Agate for the Vogue Mercantile Co. sometime before 1949. Vogue Mercantile was a company that was operated in New York City. It was a major distributor or pottery and glass. We know this item was made during or before 1949 for 2 reasons. 1- The owner of Vogue Mercantile was Phillip Distillator. Sometime in 1949. He changed the name of his company to Vogue Ceramics. He was also the owner of Jackson China Co. Interesting Note: Many Homer Laughlin pieces were sold under the Vogue Backstamp. Just like this item here was made by Akro Agate and sold under the Vogue Backstamp. 2- Akro Agate ceased all productions in 1949 and sold out their stock by 1951. Thus closing their doors forever. They had to make this item for Vogue, most likely ... morebefore and not during, 1949. It is marked on the bottom"Vogue Mercantile Co. made in USA- New York City" Measures about 3" tall.
