Georgian Sterling Silver Top Clear Glass Mustard Pot by Robert& David Hennell of London dated 1797 This Antique Mustard or Condiment Pot measures approximately 3 inches or 77 mm across the length of its lid from side to side by just over 2 inches or 53 mm across the width of its lid from the hinge to the front and it stands 4 3/8 inches or 112 mm tall to the top of the finial on its lid when closed. The mustard pot is made in an oval shape from a clear glass facet cut lower body that has a sterling silver mounted upper rim with a three section piano hinged dome shaped lid that has a decorative finial on the top. The mustard or condiment pot has Not been engraved with a previous owners initial or family monogram all as photographed below and the inner lid along with the front of the mount have been impressed with matching English sterling ... moresilver hallmarks that read as follows, RH over DH- King George Head- Lion Passant- B RH over DH is the London silversmith or makers mark of Robert& David Hennell whose mark is recorded as only being used from 1795 until 1801. The Kind George Head is the duty mark of the reigning monarch, the Lion Passant is the mark of English 925 standard sterling silver and the letter B is the London assay office date letter for 1797. The condition is used and Excellent for its age. The mustard pot has No Chips and No Cracks in its glass body. The lid has No Dents, No Splits, No Cracks and No Holes that I can find, mustard pot stands straight, the definition and decoration is very crisp, the hinged lid opens and closes perfectly with ease, the silver hallmarks are partially rubbed or worn in places but still legible although as the mustard pot is a used antique it does have a seem split in the front edge of its mount that does not affect its use and the mount and lid have the odd very small shallow dent along with some extremely minor surface marks and wear from use, it has the patina of age that is to be expected and a gentle clean would enhance it greatly. Up for your consideration is this unusual desk magnifying glass that I be lieve is Georgian or Early Vict orian period. The lense i s similar to a Stanhope lense except one end is flat. The lense is made from one thick piece o f glass an d has a convex end on the top and a flat end on the bottom. The sides are done in frosted glass. The handle is a pewter silver color and is screwed on to a metal ring that is wrapped around the outside of the lense by a grooved area in the glass. Measures a little over 1-3/4" tall. 1-1/2" diameter, the han dle is 2-1/4" long and with the glass lense included is almost 4" across. There is a shell shaped chip on the top of the lense on the edge. And two smaller chips on the bottom outside edge. Otherwise there is minor scratches on the base. 1832 Georgian silver& glass Pot Pourri/ Trinket Pot- 17cm long This stunning 180 year old piece has a solid silver pierced and engraved lid and a glass body with bevelled edges and star-cut base. It would originally have been used to contain Pot Pourri with the pierced lid allowing the aromas to infiltrate the room. Whilst it can still be used for its original purpose. It could also serve as a trinket box. The lid is very clearly hallmarked for London 1832 and has the maker’s mark‘T.D’ which, I believe, is that of Thomas Dicks. There is an armorial crest to the centre depicting an arm holding a spear with writing surrounding it. Although it can still be seen, it is worn. This is a very unusual and rare item which would be a superb collectors’ or display piece. The silver is in excellent condition with only 3 tiny pin-head dints that I ... morecan find. Georgian Solid Silver with Blue Glass Liner Oval Salt London 1814 This is a George III solid silver oval salt with blue glass liners probably by James Barratt. Hallmarked for London 1814 The salt has a pierced Neoclassical design with bright cut engraved swags with a beaded rim. The salt has four ball and claw feet. The salt has a vacant cartouche. No monogram is present. The salt is fully hallmarked: I.B(makers mark- upside down) Lion passant Crowned leopard head for London assay office Date letter T for 1814 King's head(duty mark) Actual hallmarks shown below. Size: 50mm tall 83mm max length 64mm max width Condition: No dents or bending to the salt. The salt has a very slight. Very minor wobble. There are mark to the interior base rim of the salt. Example shown below. There are some very minor surface marks, tiny scratches and tiny ... moredinks to the edges in places to the silver. These are consistent with age and use. There are no chips or cracks to the blue glass liner. But there are surface marks on the underside base. Shown below. The liner is not an exact fit for the salt. This may not be the original liner. UNUSUAL ANTIQUE GEORGIAN ENGLISH GILT GLASS MINIATURE VINAIGRETTE SEAL c1760
A wonderful antique Georgian English. Gilt yellow metal miniature vinaigrette; beautifully made, of waisted form and with a superbly pierced screw-on grille to the top and a molded glass intaglio seal to is base depicting a portrait of a gentleman of the period. Dating from around 1770/80 if not earlier and in very good condition throughout with light signs of use, worn gilding and screw thread(still works though) it weighs 4.2 grams and measures three quarters of an inch high. Gorgeous antique WMF Ikora Art Nouveau- Victorian- Georgian Uranium Vaseline Glass Vase with stringed Glass Threads click picture to enlarge In my Auction I can offer you this little Art Nouveau Treasure a marvelous antique Victorian Uranium Vaseline WMF Ikora Glass Vase This very old Uranium Glass Vase shines very green in the UV Light The Vase has the basic design of clear Glass in exchange with yellow Vaseline Glass with alternating strips of yellow and clear Glass radiating out from the base and up through the top rim. All hand blown in the Zanfirico Glasswork. Measuring around: 8.0 inches(21.2 cm) tall x 3.3 inches(8.6 cm) wide. Measured by the shoulders from left to right. This Vase has on Hairline all the way down what can be seen on the Photo's I made. Still the Vase can be used for Flowers without leaking Water. On the Bottom. ... moreInside the Glass Vessel, it has some dark brown places, which I left as there are. The Vase has been cleaned from the outside only. The dark green Handle stands strong in Place and has no cracks or restorations and no fleabites. Please take a look at the Photo's I made as there are Part of the Discription as well. The Glasswork looks rough and you can feel the structure of the Work and the Glass. The dark green Glass Garland on the Frontside is rounded as well and is without any damages. The Toprim is without chips and has just thiny little fleabits on the inside rim or maybe it comes from the Glass"cut" from the neck. The Glassbody is narrowed under the neck. The Vase has two rough Pontils by the Handle. The Handle itsself is rounded. The Bottom and Top rim are polished flat. All feels good and looks very interesting with his yellow white netted Zanfirico alternating and unusal form and the contrast dark green handle& garland. A real antique Art Nouveau- Victorian- Georgian WMF Ikora Glass.
