Such a pretty glass jar or box. Looking like a strawberry, molded in white opaline and painted. Fun collectors item! Probably made first half 1900´s. And it is made in France! Marked at bottom. Divine Opaline This is a lovely piece of blue opaline glass; a large stoppered cologne bottle with detailed gold and enamel decoration. Likely made in France around the turn of the century. Though unmarked. The cylindrical bottle has a narrowed neck, flared rim and original hollow stopper. Both pieces have a pontil from the hand-blowing process. It is adorned with a very stunning overlay of thick gilded bronze in a curved Acanthus leaf and Neoclassic pattern. This section creates the footed design of the base. There is a circular dore Acanthus leaf spacer at the top of the glass section as well. The lamp is completed with a beautiful silk shade. The shade is ecru to cream in color. First of all. I must say that I've ended my listing early cause the t here were some errors in the listing. Up for bid a pair of very beautiful antique vases typical to the victorian era more than one hundred years ago. These vases. That measures 12" tall, are pro bably French. I found them in the house of a 95 years old woma n who was an antiquarian in the 1950's in Quebec city. There were a lot of treasures for sale in her house when she moved. Among them. These 2 vases. They are in very great condition for their age with no major flaws. I would say that they have a few tiny marks and some gold paint loss but the overall condition is still excellent. I've remarked that on the underneath. It is produced in opal glass which is translucent white until a strong light is shone through when it transforms into fiery opal tones. The glass is thick but translucent with a beautiful sheen to it. This piece is referenced as a“dresser bottle” in the notes and inventory of the original collectors. But as time went on, in notes that followed it was also referred to as a bud vase. The dresser bottle measures 6 ½” tall with a long neck. The mouth of the bottle/vase is wider measuring 1 ½” about in width. I believe that the mouth being wider than the neck adds beauty and an unusual styling to the artistry of this blown piece. The base of the bottle measures 2” wide. The pontil is polished. The bulbous portion of the bottle is adorned with pink and cream tulips(I believe) surrounded by green ribbon and leaves. The gold gilding is the ribbon uniting the tulips and greenery and is outlined in cream enamel. When the gold gilding is examined closely under magnification it appears that pieces of crystal glass have been applied to the gold gilding- which adds dimension and extra beauty to an already amazing piece. The bottle is footed.

Up for your consideration is this 1890's Antique French Blue Opaline perfume bottle.It is hand blown and hand painted with a white enamel painted design with gold trim.It measures 4 3/4; inch's and with the top on 6 3/ inch's.This Royal Blue Victorian bottle is simple yet very elegant.You can see were it was hand blown on the base and it has a number 34.The stopper also has a number of 24.Condition:The top has a few flea bites on the interior of the rim and there is a small chip on the outside bottle rim.There is some very minor gold wear and two black dots that were blown into the glass when made.It sounds like a lot but it isn't. Lovely set of French opaline vases! Set of three opaline vases. They are made around 1900-1910. Very stylish set. The color is a nice beige color. They are handmade. The pictures in the middle are transfer painted and the surroundings are hand painted with enamel paint. On the top they have lovely frilly details. Also hand made. Opaline glass is coloured glass, that is coloured solid and not on the surface. In the daylight it has a lovely glow in the glass, see the photo. They are still in great condition.
