Up for bids is this Pair of Antique 19thC French or Bohemian Cut Green Opaline Glass Candlestick Holders. These lustre candlesticks are probably French or Bohemian and were made in the mid to late 19thC. These candlesticks are made of a light green opaline glass and are very finely cut with a diamond pattern and are also faceted. Each of the candlesticks are hand blown with ground and polished pontils. On each of the candlesticks necks there are 7 holes for hanging prisms. This is a very fine pair of lustre candlesticks that are very similar in quality to Baccarat. Each candlestick stands 12 1/8" tall and have a diameter of 4 3/4" There are no chips. Cracks, breaks, or repairs to either of the candlesticks. It is a lovely opaque opaline white and is hand blown and has a partially ground pontil. Marked on bottom of bottle 64. It has its original dauber. Beautifully intact with what could be its original cotton. The bottle has no damage or repairs, it does show wear and scuffing on bottom consistent with age and use. The stopper is ground and measures 5 1/8" The bottle without stopper in is app. 4 7/8" with stopper stands 6" tall and 2 3/4" across bottom of bottle. These are tallest and widest points.

Charming Blue Opaline French Portieux Vallerysthal Art Glass Vase
This beautiful Portieux Vallerysthal vase is one of two listed this week. This vase is in very nice condition other than some light gilding loss. It also has a couple of manufacturing flaws as the bubbles are shown in the third picture. It is marked P.V. France on the bottom. It is a lovely piece of glass. the vase is 5-5/8" tall. And 3" in diameter. This and many items that I am currently selling came out of a magnificent Washington DC area estate from a prominent MD- Pennsylvania family.

This is a stunningly beautiful Hand Painted Blue Opaline glass decanter/ water carafe with matching under plate. The decanter is in excellent condition with no chips or nicks. The enameling is in wonderful condition as well. With just some minor age wear, mostly at the rim. The scallop under plate is in fine condition as well, with few small shallow flakes to the underside on scallop edge. See photo#5& 6, hard to notice but can be felt. Otherwise just stunning. The enameling on the plate is excellent as well with minor gilt wear to scallop rim edge. Photos show very well. This is very rare pair of French Art Deco opaline glass towel rails. Measuring approx 18" long x 5" tall they are in very good. Strong original condition. Made from white glass with a mixture of chrome and aluminium fixtures it is rare to see one of these glass rails in good condition so to find a pair is almost unheard of! As you can see in the pictures is beautifully hand painted with a light blue color in the background and beautiful symmetrical patterns on both sides. They have a bronze base. And the top is also made out of bronze. One of the lamps is in excellent condition while the other one has a crack. Any item over 250.00 will be shipped USPS Express with direct signature confirmation by buyer. This is a gorgeous 19th century French opaline glass jewelry casket with mounted bronze ormolu. I have searched all over for one like it and could not find one. This piece has a bluish whitish mottled opaline glass with wonderful detailed ormolu mounts and I believe the interior is original. It measures about 4.25" wide just the glass box but with the bronze feet it is about 5.5" x 4" give ... moreor take. The gilt dore on the ormolu is pretty much gone but it still looks fabulous. The feet are acanthus leaves I believe and the side handles are hinged. The clasp still snaps shut on the lid and I see a little tiny tiny nick on one corner that is almost invisible. I rubbed my finger across it and there are a couple small areas with some roughness felt but not seen. Items I sell are not new. They have been used so do not expect mint condition unless otherwise noted. Measurements are approximate and may not be totally exact. Keep this in mind when bidding. OOAKRare 19th Century Antique French Green Opaline Large Vase/Caraffe
This is a simply fabulous and unique piece. The family originally purchased a pair and used them to store salt. They come from an estate of one of the first Dutch se ttlers to Pennsylvania. The age is indicated by the small bubbles in the glass. And by the styling of the piece. It would be a gorge ous vase or display piece. It stands 12 1/2" high by 5" wide at the widest part of the base. The color is holding up well with only gentle fading. There are no detectable cracks. The gold detailing has some wear.
