This is about 3.75 x 3.5" On the back it has 2 hallmarks one looks like an animal. And the other looks like a fancy S and the number 2. I can't make it out too good. On the other side on the back it has a script name on it, and clear 1863. This is very fancy, and it is from the Civil War era. The fancy script is a name, probable the name of who ever this was given to at the time. The fancy top part is added to the bottom with 10 folded over rods. This is a beautiful art nouveau brooch pin. It has a 1" long and 3/8" wide amber color stone. The stone is bezel set into the metal. There is a chip on one end of the stone. Has gorgeous filigree design with a genuine cameo in center. i did add a new sterling 18" chain. the Pendant is vintage for as Sorrento made jewelry in the late 50's and early 60's and was known for its filigree settings. the pendant is 1 1/4" diameter and all in Excellent condition.
