1920’s Egyptian Revival 800 Silver Filigree Set - Necklace, Bracelet, Brooch Pin
Acquired from an estate is an Egyptian silver filigree jewelry set. Has the bracelet. Necklace, and pin. Was found stored in the old paper covered box which I’m assuming is original to the pieces? The panels on each piece that have the images engraved on them are all gold colored and appear to be a gold wash surface. Each piece has a marking that I was told is an assay mark for 800 silver. Every individual section or piece is marked. The bracelet is made of 5 pieces and each one has the marking. The necklace has a mark on the main piece and also on the little dangle at the bottom. The bracelet is 6 ¾” long and has a sliding pin connector. The brooch pin is about 1 ¾” long and 1 1/8” tall and has a simple c clasp. The necklace pendant is about 2 ½” long with the dangle and is about 1 3/8” wide and has a simple hook connector ... moreon the chain. All the pieces together weigh 26 grams. All three items are in very good used condition but needs minor polishing. The box is in poor condition with a lot of wear. For sale are a pair of antique candleholders made by the Queen City Silver Company of Cincinnati Ohio. The company was in business from ~ the 1880's until 1949. The candleholders are marked as shown in photo 8 with the company name and the product# 27-63. Each piece is ~ 5.75" tall. The oval base is ~ 3" X 2" the top oval is ~ 1.75" X 1.375" and they accomadate a 1" diameter candle. The raised filigree ornamentation appears to be a house in the woods with trees and flowers. The candleholders are metal but the composition is not clear. Please ask any questions before bidding. The buyer is responsible for shipping charges.
