Vintage c1980's STERLING SILVER FILIGREE, SHELL CAMEO Necklace and earrings set
This is a STERLING SILVER Filigree and hand-carved shell CAMEO necklace and wire pierced drop earring SET. It stamped STERLING on the snap clasp, and the necklace cameo. The necklace is 16" in length with a drop Cameo. With and 8" long snake-style. Very smooth and flexible section of the 16" The earrings measure 1.25" from top of wire to the bottom edge. It is all in excellent condition. And is from the early 1980's. The cameos are hand carved. Each one an original, with a soft peach colored background to a pale peach in carved lady. The 1st 3 photos are not true to color. The silver is very clean. Shiny and bright, NOT TARNISHED. The 4th and 5th photos against the white background are truer in color. If you have any questions. I offer for your consideration A Antique Filigree Sterling Silver Carved 1 Inch Oval Hot Pink Cameo In VG Cond I offer the above listed item. Pin Back/ Broach Appears in good used condition. Issues to note on this item are as follows 1. While I see no chips or noticeable damage at a distance on this piece. I do see Crazing/ surface cracks in the pink portion on this cameo. Most are in the back round and not the actual bust. However there is a small stress crack that runs diagonally in the neck line. I would like to point out that these are noticeable under only close scrutiny. Most of the ones in the back round around the bust I needed a loop to see! I work hard to stay top rated and try to point out all pertinent details. As long as this piece is taken care of the ware should stay the same. Item will need a gentle cleaning before wearing. ... more2. Other aspects on this piece are as follows. The back plate portion which the cameo is mounted in is brass. The outer frame is Sterling Silver. The clasp is a non locking c clasp with no lock to hold pin in. This portion of the cameo appears in good used condition might need a slight adjustment. The oval Hot Pink cameo measures 1 inch in length by 3/4 inches in width. If you include the outer Sterling frame then item measures 1 inch by 1 1/4 inches. Item is unsigned by a maker but is marked Sterling Frame. I have been told by Jewelry dealers that item is form Czechoslovakia. However I do not know this for sure! Overall I would classify this item as being in good used condition with the above noted issues. One last note in closing. This is the only hot pink antique Sterling Cameo bust that I could find on ebay. The color is what makes this piece as you just don't see cameos often in hot pink. Item has a tint in pictures based on my lighting.
