The 5 cordials are amazing and measure 3 3/8” tall. Only one has damage, a rim chip which you can clearly see in the last photo. The decanter measures 9 1/2” to the top of the faceted stopper. I don’t know if the stopper is original but it fits nicely. The height to the rim is 7 1/2”. The inside has some spotting but I haven’t tried to clean it. The technique used to create these beauties is called cut to clear. Clear glass has a color glass over it. Then skilled craftspeople carefully cut away the color (in this example it’s Amber) to create designs.

Victorian Globe and Shaft Etched Glass Decanter and Stopper C.1890 Leaf Pattern This is a very attractive late Victorian cut glass decanter and stopper dating from between 1880 and 1910. It is made of hand blown glass. The hollow blown stopper is ground to fit. The body is decorated with a band of etched frosted vine and fern leaves. Size: 12 1/2 inches(31.5cm) high including stopper. Weight: 504 grammes Condition: Pretty good = there are no cracks or chips the only fault I can find is that the stopper is not an airtight fit- but it does appear to be the original and have been made like that- see the photographs. I had purchased two matching decanters, at an auction and while taking pictures of one(I was keeping one and selling one) I knocked the decanter off the table and onto the floor. Therefore I only have the stopper available. The stopper is 3 3/8 inches high. The top is 1 3/4 inches in diameter and the ground base is 1 inch in diameter(it does taper to approximately 1 3/16 of an inch) There are scratches near the top of the stopper and the ground edge does have some flea bites. This offering is for an orange crackle glass pinched decanter with a stopper. It is 10-3/4 inches tall including the stopper. 3-1/2 inches at the widest part, and 3 inches in diameter at the bottom. There is a pontil on the bottom as noted in picture#3. This could be Blenko; however, I am not certain. The neck is slightly bent and was made this way. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. This old piece is in a classical form, with diamond and sunburst designs. This piece has its original, fitted stopper. The glass rings on the neck of the decanter are applied in the old fashion, overlapping style. The underside has a typical broken pontil mark, as expected. Vintage Austrian Hand Blown Sanded Orange Paint Glass Decanter Bottle & Stopper
This is a lovely decanter. It is clear glass and measures 7 1/2" tall to ruffle. 9" w/stopper x 3" across shoulders or 2 3/4" across base. It is painted with orange stripes(2) and white dot flowers and scalloped line in between, and white dot loops under bottom line. The orange lines have white dot design. Some of the dots have rubbed off over the years, but the pattern is easily visible. The stopper is all good. No chips or cracks, looks hollow on the inside top part, and a bubble in the neck of stopper, sanded bottom that fits into the sanded neck for solid closure. The ruffle neck has one chip in the top edge, see picture 3. I have added pictures 5& 6 because the top of the bottle has what looks like overfill lines. And 10 3/4 to the top of the stopper which measures 3 3/4 long by 2 1/2 wide. The middle is 6" at the widest and 3" at the thickest. This come in the original wood box with the brass label on front. Offered here is a beautiful piece of Cranberry Glass. This decanter belonged to my grandmother and she has been gone for many years. Leaving us at the age of 94. This sat in her China closet forever, and now for many years in mine. As I approach 73, I am downsizing with a few items along the way, thus this piece. It stands 8" tall without the stopper, and there are 3 indentations around the middle. It stands 12" tall including the stopper. 8" height of the body, and has a maximum width of about 5-1/4" This beautiful decanter has it all. A wonderful deep blue color, the attractive optics of crackle glass, the classic flame stopper and pinched flared rim, and above all the coil wrapped neck that makes this piece stand on its own when compared to similar pieces without the coil neck. The stopper does not fit perfectly snug in the decanter. But this can be expected with hand made pieces of art glass such as this. The bottom exhibits a fire polished pontil mark. There are no chips, cracks or other damage to this piece. Holmegaard smoky gray glass decanter, stopper and (6) 6 oz. Whiskey glasses.
Where to start. This decanter is gorgeous. The color. Quality and timeless design is one that you won't want to let pass by. The lid sits solidly in the decanter with a gentle"cushion of air" feeling when it is placed. The bottom edge of the lid has one pinpoint chip(photo#4) and then another sort of"skip mark" as you can see in pictures(photo#5) by the pencil lead. The 6 small cups provide the opportunity to serve your guests the spirit of the evening with class and style. Picture#3 shows one of the glasses with 4 oz. of beverage in it. One glass has a pencil tip size"tink" in it(picture#6) It is not sharp and shouldn't interfere with function. I didn't notice it until about the 4th time I went over them. Holmegaard is the famous Danish glass manufacturer founded in 1825. Per Lütken was Holmegaard's ... moredesigner from 1942 until his death in 1998 and was a genius of glass design. His glass generally looks very simple but. Despite that, it's unique. No-one else made glass that looked like his. Smoke gray and a pale steel blue were his colours of choice in the 1950s. The simpler the design. The more obvious any flaws. Holmegaard craftsmanship is superb. Their glass is generally clear, bubble-free, and often beautifully thick and weighty. In"Miller's Glass of the'50s and'60s" Nigel Benson writes- Per Lütken(1916-98) was a prolific designer. for Holmegaard and Kastrup. His awareness of the qualities of glass and his ability to explore its plasticity exhibit a great understanding of his craft" We have to remind ourselves that most of the pieces we own are from the 1950s and early 60s. This is a gorgeous ruby red decanter. With a clear crystal stopper. it is a deep dark red and appears to be hand blown. it is perfect in every way with no cracks, chips, or scratches. This was part of a collection my mother had and she told me it was Cambridge, but it is not marked. The red bottom is 5 1/4 inches high with the stopper in it is 7 inches high
