The stopper has some chips that you can see in the photos. I think this stopper is original as it fits very well. There ar narrow cut at the bottom and flute cuts at the neck. An encased air bubble in the sidewall. Some very tiny nips on the bottom cuts.nothing major.it mostly feels like a bit of roughness. Some scattered scuffs on the sidewall. I believe this is circa 1815. A nice old one! All glass and pottery items are carefully bubble wrapped. BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE cut glass decanter and stopper- LOOKS Irish- nicely cut band!!
This decanter could be even older than 1850. But I really can't date it accurately, except to say it's very old I'm guessing 1920's AT LEAST. It's beautiful cut crystal and has an intricately cut band going around the upper central portion where your hand grabs it to pour. Then large cut ovals above and below this band. It's topped off with a dazzling HUGE cut glass knob topped stopper. The decanter without the stopper measures 8 1/4" high, and the stopper measures just shy of 4" long. CONDITION: A relatively small nick in the upper lip of the decanter, numerous fleabites and nicks on the base of the stopper, some very light clouding on some sections of the interior, can totally still see through the glass, some colored liquid in it and I believe it would disappear. I felt all the way around the diamond cut ... moreband about three times and felt nothing, and I see nothing on that. The flat base has numerous light scratches commiserate with age and use. The stopper has 3 or 4 small bubbles in the glass, and there are a few in the glass of the decanter as well. I see no signature or maker's mark. This is a great addition to the cocktail table, cart or tray, with some kind of amber colored liquid in it would be ideal. It's a very solid, masculine piece. And again, age wise I'm guessing, I think my pictures came out kind of washed out I don't know yet how much detail you can see against the pink wall. Very nice bar set Crystal decanter with green tulip shaped stopper and 6 green glasses The gree is more of a medium green-the pix has more blue in it than it really does. Cloudy today so hard to get good light. Will add more later. The stopper has a plastic cover to make it airtight-as the inside of where stopper goes is ground. The stopper is tulip shaped with four petals and the glasses have similar shape. The glasses have a tulip shape on them too. The glasses and decanter have NO chips or scratches. The set weighs about 5 pounds before packing so will use regional or flat rate box with plenty of packing materials for safe arrive. Will be insured. I usually ship most everyday except Sunday. I do combine wins when on one invoice-but in this case will ship alone but if you buy more than one item the other one will have reduced shipping.

It is also embossed on bottom: 55– year bottle was made 56– permit D– 1– distiller 8– identifying bottler The only thing I could find was a very tiny chip on the seam of the handle. Unique Vintage Mid-Century Glass Decanter, No. 36 with Matching Glass Stopper
This is a very unique glass decanter. It features an enameled pattern of red and white lines and red dots. And has a matching glass stopper. Both the decanter and the stopper are numbered"36" The decanter measures 6 inches high without the stopper and 6 3/4 inches high with the stopper in. The stopper is all glass and has a few small chips along the bottom edge. The mouth of the bottle has no chips. There is some wear to the red and white enameled design that does not detract from how nice this piece is.
