Marked by the ostrich and two inscriptions"WMF" and"G" Geislingen an der Steige) in a rhombus. Placed in a beehive with smooth round arch. Note the simplified shape of the"F" letter. The beehive size is 2.1 x 2.3 mm. The size of the arch is 2.1 x 0.9 mm. Vintage Sterling Silver Relief Antique Rococo Decorated Whisky Bottle or Decanter Label from London This Vintage Bottle or Decanter Label measures approximately 5 inches or 128 mm in length from the base of the label to the top of the chain when it is hanging by just under 2 1/2 inches or 6 3 mm across the width of the label from side to side and it is just under 1 5/8 inches or 4 1 mm deep from the top edge to the bottom edge of the label's body. The label is made from sterling silver in a slightly curved rectangular shape that has a superb antique rococo style embossed or raised relief stylized shell and scrolled foliate decorated outer border around a shaped central panel that has been impressed and engraved with the word WHISKY. The bottle or decanter label has a sterling silver chain hanging from either side of the top that is long ... moreenough to go around the neck of a bottle or decanter and the label has Not been engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram all as photographed below, the lower front of the label has been impressed with a full set of English sterling silver hallmarks that read as follows, AC& Ss- Lion Passant- Leopard Head- stylized A AC& Ss is the London silversmith or makers mark, the Lion Passant is the mark of English 925 standard sterling silver. Diamond Etched Glass Silver Plated Top Claret Jug Decanter w/ Ice Chiller Insert
Beautiful vintage Claret Jug Decanter with a Diamond Cut Pattern. Elegant Silver Plated Twist Top and Handle. Ice Chiller Insert with top Included. Sunburst Pattern at bottom. Measures 14 1/4" Tall. Including the Finial and 5 3/4" across the bottom. Deep diamond cut pattern really catches the light. Glass is brilliant. No yellowing or dull at all. Interior is nice and clean with no stains or damage at all. The Silver Plated Cap top has a hinged lid that's slightly domed and the finial is acorn shaped.Around the finial are tiny beads in a chased pattern. he spout has a pretty leaf design on the bottom. The arched handle has a scroll pattern and is attached to the side of lid but is away from glass. This is a twist on/off top. The lower section of lid has a 3/4" ribbed band design. The ice chiller insert tube is made of plastic ... moreand does have the top. This ice chiller keeps beverage cold without diluting it. My Mom never put this in freezer. She filled it with ice and served home made Sangria to her friends when they'd get together and"work" on crafts in the evenings. Nice jug to serve Mimosas. Sangria or Wine. The glass is thick and shines shines shines. Displays beautifully. Hinge is in great working condition.No damage on silver plating at all. The easiest way to put together is to attach the cap on body. Left the lid and insert the inner cylinder. The top has a lip on bottom that supports the insert and keeps it from slipping into jug. When done with it, remove the cylinder, wash it in soap and water and put it back into the jug after it's been washed and dried so you won't misplace it. I've got 4 jugs and this the only complete one. Keep thumb on lid when serving beverage. I'm just remembering my Mom's instructions! Not marked. It is heavy. I do not know how old it is. The Jug features a beautiful scene of an angel with a lady playing a horn. Surrounded by intricate Art Nouveau vines and flowers. This scene is on both sides all around the piece. The jug itself is made of moulded poured glass with just one seam, typical of early glass. The crystal stopper/lid looks to be a newer addition and not original to this piece, but it does add that special touch(the stopper has a tiny chip on the very tip) Along with this jug is the matching 6 cordial shot glasses, each with sterling bands around rims and stem bases, one has a slightly different pattern, and may be a replacement. The stopper features 2 lions holding the Tuaca crest/coat of arms between them. This design is 2 sided so the stopper does not have a front or back. The stopper is silver plated on the inside as well. The bottle rests in a marvelous, silver plated, footed base stand. The stand features 3 large Italianate dolphins with very nicely and deeply cut details. They are connected to the bottle holder section which features an ornately patterned, repousse Acanthus design. Measuring 11 1/2" tall; 4 1/2" diameter base; 6 1/2" handle length; 1" spout with beautifully cut criss-cross diamond pattern in 3 places centered between 3 horizontal lines and cut diagonal stripes under each diamond. Spout features some raised work. Neck, spout and lid are silver plate, but I believe the handle is pewter, as it does not tarnish. I can not find any markings on the server as to maker or pattern and do not know the country of origin. Weighs 300 grams. The cup is 3 1/4" tall x 2 5/8" diameter and weighs 73 grams. Both in good condition, the decanter having a light dent on the lower body, measuring about 3/4" long. Gorgeous Seguso decanter with ball stopper. Tons of silver inclusions. There are 3 verticle stripes on the bottle with larger flecks. No chips or cracks. The little mark you see on the top of the bottle was done in the making. Any white marks you see on the body is glare. There are some little scuff marks on the top of the bottle from where the ball rests. It measures 12 1/2 inches tall. 5 1/2 inches at the widest point. The bottom is flat and polished.
