It is very unique in its shape and size. ... moreI believe it is called 8 lobe or clove shape. The overlay is done in a draping floral pattern. The only marks I could find are on the outer rim. They are sterling and 151 I believe. Overall the bottle is in good to great shape. It does not appear to be missing any overlay. There are no repairs. Breaks, chips, or fleabites I could find. There is a couple dings to the sterling on the top but nothing major. It comes with what I believe is the original matching stopper. I wish I could say the condition was the same as the bottle but I can't. It appears to have been dropped a long time ago. There is a tiny corner of overlay missing that is small enough you can barely notice. I say dropped because the base of the stopper has a fairly good size chip all the way up. The edges are smooth leading me to believe it is old damage. It did not affect the beauty end of it though. It measures just under 6 1/2" tall with the stopper in and just under 4 3/4" without. The stopper itself measures about 2 5/8" long. Overall, even with the chipped stopper, it still displays beautifully and would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I am in no way an expert and try to describe things the best I can. Everything I sell is sold in as is condition as it was found. Please look at all pics for a better description. As I buy things to resell from different places. I cannot guarantee them to be from a pet/smoke free home. If you have any questions please feel free to ask before you bid. Vintage, solid silver decanter label with the very popular‘Whisky’ engraved on it. It has an attractive Art Nouveau or Arts and Crafts style border. Of scrolling leaves with a Scottish thistle at each corner. The label has its orginal retainer silver chain attached. HISTORY: This label was crafted by silversmiths John Turton& Co of Birmingham in 1988. HALLMARKS: The label carries the clear hallmarks of solid English silver from the Birmingham Assay Office on the front. These are: the letters J.T& Co; the Birmingham Anchor Assay Mark; the lion passant denoting solid English silver; the letter“O” in a square for the year 1988. The Decanter is the only one of it's kind Signed Hawkes that I have ever seen and am sure is a very Rare find indeed. The Decanter is a top quality example. Though you would expect nothing less from a top notch company like Hawkes and features a deeply etched Large Thistle and Art Deco Linear designs throughout. The Decanter is all original with a most unusual Sterling Silver Lid and Top Mount that can be locked with the addition of a small Padlock. The Padlock would stop the lid from turning to line up the slots and pins so you can not remove the top, quite an ingenious design! The Decanter is in amazing all original condition with no chips, cracks, cloudiness, residue, dents or repairs and I am sure the new owner will be most impressed. The Decanter is fully Acid etched Signed on the bottom with the Hawkes Trademark and Name plus the Sterling is also Marked Hawkes Sterling as we have shown in the photos. The Bottle is one of the finest quality examples I have sold with not only a Sterling Silver Mount to the top of the neck but also to the Cut Base Rim. Which I have not seen before. The Decanter is a beautiful shade of Honey Amber Cut to Clear and features very pretty Flower Baskets and other fine period designs throughout. The Stopper is clear glass cut in a very nice prism pattern and fits like a glove. The Decanter is also in very fine all original condition with a small chipped area and some light use signs throughout but nothing bad and certainly no cracks or repairs. The Decanter is also a great size for display or modern use measuring 9-3/4" tall including stopper by 4-1/4" wide and will hold 500ml or 17 U.S. Fluid Ounces. In my 25+ years of selling Antiques full time I can safely say I have never seen another like this and I absolutely love it! The Barrel is exceptionally well Cut and I believe may actually be American Brilliant Period Cut Glass but I am not 100% sure so to be safe I am going to sell it simply as Victorian. The Silver Plate Tap is marked Regent Plate which was a Trade Mark of one of the most important Period Silversmiths Goldsmiths& Silversmiths of Regent St in London England. I know many American Companies did import English Silver mounts for American Brilliant Period Cut Glass. The Barrel is so much more impressive in real life and the Barrel itself is in really excellent condition with some light wear and tiny nibbles throughout but certainly no large Chips. Cracks or Repairs, the stand shows some chipping throughout. The Silver Plate also shows some light wear consistent with use and age but the tap does work very nicely. The Decanter is also a great size for modern use or display in a collection, measuring 9" long by 9" tall on the stand with the Barrel holding 1000ml or 34 U.S

Stunning Ruby with Silver Overlay Decanter Set - Winged Lion
Offered is a beautiful vintage/antique set(estimated 1940's) which includes the decanter(10" tall with top. 8" tall without, about 4" wide at widest point and 2 1/2" diameter base) and 4 shot glasses or jiggers(each 2 1/2" tall with 1 3/4" top opening diameter and 1 1/2" base diameter) The set color is ruby red, and the decanter is overlayed with silver to show a fabulous winged lion on one side and castle among clouds and florals on the other side. The top is clear with silver rim and frosted waist to fit into decanter. Each little jigger shows a gondola on one side and what looks like a mosque scene on the other. All bases have silver around them and the decanter neck is overlayed with silver as well. In very nice condition with no chips or cracks. Antique French Louis XVI Minerva Sterling Silver Cut Glass Liqour Decanter with insert This stunning piece of art is Decortated in Louis XVI Ribbons and Reed Motif. Rosebuds. Roses and Ribbons are etchted into the decanter. The base has a 24 point star-burst. The French Minerva Goddess(950) as well as the markers mark'ARD) with a bishop Cross and a J on the bottom' are on both the decanter and the insert. The silversmith is Joseph Crossard(a cross and ARD for Crossard) was active from 1900-1920 located at 36 Ruede Montmorency in Paris. It stands 5.5" tall 4.24 wide and the base is 2.5/5"s It weighs 478 grams or 16.9 oz or just over 1lb. I believe it is cut crystal but I have seen his works state cut crystal and cut glass. Art Deco German Silver DECANTER / CLARET JUG - 800 Grade Silber WILHELM BINDER
SEE DESCRIPTION BELOW THE FOLLOWING PICTURES This small German claret jug or decanter is in a classic Art Deco style and appears to date from the 1920s or 1930s. It is in great all round condition with no chips or cracks to the ribbed glass body and only some light minor surface scratches as you might expect with its age. Internally it is clean and stain free and the base has a large polished-out pontil mark. The silver top is also in good condition. Although could do with a little extra polishing, with no major bashes or dents and just a couple of very small indentations that you have to search for. There are a couple of tiny dark age spots and, if you look very closely, some fine scratches that have accumulated over the years. The hinge on the lid is still tight and not loose in any way, although I am unsure whether the thumb-piece has ... morebeen bent as I have nothing to compare it with. The jug measures 15 cm(a fraction under 6 inches) in height to the top of the lid not including the thumb-piece. And is 14.5 cm(5 ¾ inches) at its widest diameter not including the handle and has a nice weighty feel at 650g. The German hallmarks have been difficult to photograph as they are partly underneath the handle. However, as you can see, the crescent and crown are present, along with the number 800, although this seems to have been mis-struck slightly and is not complete. There are also the initials“WTB” for Wilhelm Binder and a serial number 11600. Second class postage by Recorded Delivery within the UK will be £9.10. As from 1 st April 2013 Royal Mail have introduced a considerable price increase for UK parcels which will depend on their size as well as weight. VINTAGE Sheffield Sterling Silver English Bourbon & Scotch Decanter Caddy Set
You are bidding on a vintage. Antique Sheffield Scotch& Bourbon caddy set with diamond cut crystal decanters and a sterling silver plated caddy. This set was made in England(which is embossed on the bottom of each bottle) and the Bourbon bottle still has its original Made in England sticker on it(the Scotch bottle does not) The crystal stoppers have the sun design on the top. What truly makes this piece stand out from the rest is the incredible detailing of the caddy with flowers and leaves. The bottles are encircled with a lattice-like design. There is a slight bend in the lattice on the left-hand side but the bottle still stands straight and this can easily be fixed.
