Victorian large 12 inch diameter very deep ruffled Brides Basket Bowl with gorgeous Victorian Enamel pattern design. The enamel is very detailed in yellow and blue outlined in white against the lighter pink inside glass. The ruffled edges are deep pink and the backside is white with an opalescent look to it. Measures 12 inches diameter. 5 inches tall and the base is 3 3/4 inches diameter. Hand blown with polished pontil. I believe this may be Mt Washington. My friend believes Charlton decorated but regardless this is one of the nicest and prettiest enameled design I have seen on this type Brides Basket. Victorian Meriden Co Silver Plate Brides Basket w/ Figural Feet & Cased Bowl
Up for auction is a fantastic victorian silver plate figural brides basket by meridan silverplate co. No 7015 with a gorgeous cased bowl which is also marked with the numbers 1023/9 700. Silverplate basket is in excellent condition. Bowl does have an age crack which can be seen from the inside only. The crack is long and at one point in time some dark spots formed under the inside surface near it. There is also four figural feet on the silverplate bowl. This is part of an estate and the bowl& basket have been together a very long time. The crack can only be seen on the inside not from the outside. It can also be seen on outside bottom of bowl. Both pieces look beautiful together. Basket overall measures 13" high x 11" across.

There is a monogrammed s on one side of the base which can be seen in the pictures. The small little pedestal rise part is 3 1/2" round. I find no chips, cracks or repairs in the bowl, and I actually purchase it as a replacement for a brides basket my mother-in-law had. I bought it at an antique flea market on the East Coast, and brought it home and it didn't fit right on the one she had it for so its been wrapped and stored since then. Wonderful Ruffled Amber glass edge. Enameled Bride's Basket Bowl– Circa 1890 Measures approximately 4” high and 9 1/2” in diameter. The protruding pedestal on the underside which would fit into the metal holder for this bowl measures approximately 2 3/4” in diameter. This is a beautiful detailed hand enameled Bowl with Floral Decoration across the top of the Cased Glass Basket. The Bowl has a brightly colored Victorian Design to the enameling. Antique Victorian HP Glass Brides Bowl, Ornate Reed Barton Footed Plated Basket
For sale is an ornate Victorian silver plated bride's basket with an exquisite scalloped-edge. Enamel painted glass bowl. The the bowl is white inside with blue hand painted butterflies and pale brown leaves, and pink outside with enamel painted butterflies and floral motif. This unmarked bowl measures 9 1/4" across at its widest, 3 1/2" at its tallest, and approx. 6 1/2" across the foot, which has a rough, slightly indented pontil. It is in very good antique condition: No cracks, breaks, or repairs. However, there is a 1/2" shallow chip where a spot in the rim comes to a point(see last picture) it is noticeable, but does not detract from the beauty of the bowl. I see a couple tiny pits and some pimples in the glaze, signs of having been manufactured more than a hundred years ago. There is also what looks like a light ... morepartial coffee-cup stain in the bottom of the bowl(go figure) The basket is marked on the bottom rim: MFG& PLATED BY REED& BARTON 3930. It stands 13 1/4" at its highest, 9 3/4" at its widest, and 6 5/8" across the inner part where the bowl sits. The holder has ornate metal work at the top and sides of the handle, and figural birds where they attach to the basket. There are two more birds(front and back) on the basket and all four birds form the legs/feet of the holder. There is ornate relief work around the portion that holds the bowl. The holder is in wonderful antique condition: The silver plate needs polishing(and there is some polish on the holder) but it appears to be mostly intact; no other conditions to report. This is no marriage; a beautiful, quality artifact from the Victorian period. CONDITION NOTE: All of our items are vintage or antique. Item: This auction is for a Nice old Art Glass Bowl for Brides Basket or Stand with Mica and Iridescent finish. Size: The bowl measures 9 ½” across the top point to point. 8 3/8” across the top parallel side to parallel side and is 2 ¾” tall. The foot measures 2 7/8” in diameter and is 3/8” tall. Condition: Very nice original condition with no chips cracks or scratches. It has no makers mark. I am not sure who made this piece. I have never seen this type of glass. I am guessing that it is European. I would really appreciate if someone knows the origin that they let me know. It has an iridescent finish with purple and gold highlights. It reminds me of some stretch glass. The white spatter glass and the mica has also confused me. It is a hand blown piece. It has a polished pontil. This is a wonderful. Beautiful enameled satin glass Victorian brides bowl/basket. The quadruple plated stand was made by the Barbour Silver Co. It stands 12" tall and the part. Where the glass rests is just under 5" in diameter. It is crooked and looks like it has been bent-it looks rough(see photo) The bowl has no chips or cracks and. The enameling is intact. There are dark spots from rubbing against the silverplate stand-I believe these can be removed. It is 11" in diameter and stands between. 4.75" and 5"depending on where you measure it. It is lime/chartreuse on the inside and pink to cranberry on the outside. This same bowl with a much nicer. Stand sold on an antique website for almost $4.000. Victorian Hand Blown Gold Enameled Cranberry/Pink Brides Basket/Bowl (European?)
Here is a Vintage Brides Basket/ Bowl? that is Hand Blown with a different edge treatment form most American Bowls. It is Pink with tips of the petals Cranberry with a Gold Enameled Victorian Design. It is possible that it is of European Origin but I am not sure and I could not pin point the age. It is 12" at the widest part 2 3/4" high and 3 3/4" base with Gold trim that has about half worn off. Large Antique Signed Quadruple Plate Brides Basket with Pink Fenton Ruffled Bowl
Be sure to add villagewares to your favorites! The base of this Antique Signed Bride's Basket was manufactured in the late 1800's from quadruple plate silver with its' characteristic grey to black hue. The 4 3/4 inch diameter foot with narrow paneled band narrows to a 1 1/2 inch neck which holds the 5 1/2 inch base which holds the bowl insert. The circular handle takes off from opposite sides of the base. With decorative flowers and stems spreading out 4 1/2 inches from the handle. On the underneath of the base there is an encircled star symbol with readable print of"quadruple" and"564" beneath the symbol. One of the floral stems is missing on one side. Both pieces are signed. The quadruple plate base holds the large signed Fenton pink bowl with 4 3/4 inch diameter base. This is not the original bowl for the ... moreholder. But it is a pretty good marriage, fitting nicely, but not perfectly. The large bowl ruffles allow the basket's handle to fit in. The bowl flares out and up, with the hobnails getting larger and turning more opalescent as they near the eight large ruffles which are topped by a 1 inch crimped milky band at the rim. The hobnails glisten. The bowl stands 4 1/2 inches tall at its' tallest point and is 11 1/2 inches at its widest point. Overall, the brides basket stands 11 1/2 inches tall. Gorgeous blue brides basket bowl, with hand painted birds, cased glass
This ruffled bowl is actually a Victorian or Edwardian brides basket. Without its silver plated holder. the glass is probably American, and it appears to be cased glass. this bride basket insert has hand painted birds on it, against a blue background, which are unique and different from the usual flowers and foliage decor. Lengthwise, it measures 10.5 inches, and width of the folded up sides is 6.75 inches. Most importantly, the bowl's round base is exactly 3 inches across and this is important to know so that if you find a holder for this bride basket insert, you will know the silver base needs to be over 3 inches across. the bowl has a pretty amber rim going round it's edge. This bride basket insert is probably American made and is a gorgeous example of early decorative glass. Beautiful antique ruffled brides basket bowl. It is a wonderful robins egg blue to white color. Almost opalescent depending on the light situation. It still has it's original paper label. Label reads W.F. Inc. NY and has horses on it. I could not find any record of a retailer in New York with those initials. E. G. Webster Antique Silver Plate Footed Brides Basket/ Bowl(1859-1928) Other than a few minor surface scratches. It is in very good vintage condition. I see no dents or other major imperfections. There is one spot on the face where the handle hits that shows some wear(see last photo) It does look like someone tried to polish it and didn’t get all of the polishing compound off. The handle does not stay upright on its own. The basket measures approximately 10” across. And stands about 3.5” high(9.5” with handle) The bowl is about 1.5” at its deepest point. It has the numbers 0613 next to the maker's mark. I acquired this item from an estate sale and have no history on it. Please use photos to make condition determination. I am not a silver collector. VERY RARE VICTORIAN SILVERPLATE YELLOW TOPAZ VASELINE OPALESCENT RIB OPTIC STRIPED AND FRENCH OPALESCENT DIAMOND QUILT OPTIC BRIDES BOWLS. This is a very rare and beautiful set of brides bowls. I believe the bowls may be very very old Northwood. Hobbs, or Mt. Washington. The topaz opalescent one is very beautifully striped with opalescent and at the top rim it has a topaz crest this one could be used as a vase or in the brides basket, it is in excellent condition with no chips cracks or fleabites it measures 8" tall x 5 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" at base. the French opalescent bowl is extremely rare with the diamond optic pattern and the square top, but this bowl does have a few what I would call makers marks I don't believe it has been broken but when it was blown on one of the edges there is extra glass and it formed a bubble ... morethen cracked around it, and theres one spot in the bowl where is has a small x in the glass you should be able to see both in photos above. but the rim has no chips or fleabites, it measures appr. 7" wide. the silver plate basket is also in excellent condition no damage at all it is marked on the bottom Rockford silver Quadruple plate 8052. it measures 11" tall x 8 1/2" wide, you are buying two for the price of one. this is a great set together use one as a vase and a decorative brides basket or vise versa. thank you for looking be sure to check out my other items we are selling a lot of rare and unique items that would make excellent Christmas Gifts. insurance is included on items over $20 I try to ship as soon as possible. Up for auction is a beautiful brides basket or brides bowl frame made in the later 1800's. Most likely. This frame fits a bowl with an oval base. There is plate loss and one of the handles will need repair where it's separated at the top. Other than this, I see no other breaks or repairs. I cannot find a mark on this piece anywhere. It's possible it was made by Meriden or one of the predecessor companies like Racine or Rockford or Aurora silver plate company. Other high end makers of these types of articles were James W. Tufts, Derby, Wilcox and Pairpoint. The detail on this is very nice, especially the four legs that feature faces of mythical-looking woodsmen or perhaps the Four Winds. The piece is large. It stands about 10" tall overall. The width is approximately 12" and the depth front to back is about 6" The ... moreoval opening of the frame would accommodate a bowl with a base of no more than 5.75" by 4.5" Again with an oval or oblong base. The glass blown yellow swirl brides bowl is stunning. The Monarch silver plate basket measures 11 1/2" tall x 10" wide. There is some patina and wear. Wonderful ornate handcrafted design on the Monarch Silver Basket. The center base measures 5" The brides bowl measures 9" in diameter 2 3/4" tall. I see no chips or cracks on the bowl. Someone has placed a rubber insert to protect the glass from the metal. It is a wonderful antique wedding basket with brides bowl.
