Ohio. In 1887, Harry Northwood joined as General Manager. In 1888, Pattern Reverse Swirl was made in a variety of shapes and colors. Also known to have been made at Model Flint Glass Co. in 1901.This is a rare antique brides basket with a silver plated base and a beautiful blue and white art glass diamond swirl pattern design. This silver plated base has a lovely floral design and stands 6' tall to the top of the handles 6 1/4" across from handle to handle. I can find any markings on the silver plated base. The handles of the silver plated base are unique in design. It does have two small marks on each side of the handles which looks like something may have been attached to the piece. The glass bowl fit's tight inside the base and has a swirl pattern design with a white opalescent swirl. The top of the art glass has a flat polished edge. I believe this to be a rare antique piece of hand blown in a mold chrysanthemum swirl in a basket form. The glass bowl measures 6 1/2" tall x 3 1/4" in diameter I see no cracks or scratches in the piece I feel a couple of flea bites on the top edge. This is a beautiful rare antique basket. The Second picture shows the difference in thickness of the glass the first cache pot( to the left) is the one labeled P V and is slightly thicker and heavier than the second cache pot both have the same hanging bows. Wreaths and bands, however the bottom bands are slightly different the bottom band is slightly thicker and placed lower than the band on the first one which is labeled P V. The top band is slightly wider on the the second cache pot than the one marked P V. Bottle measures about 10 inches tall with stopper, 6 3/4 inches without, 3 1/4 inches across widest part, 2 1/4 inches across the base. Bowl measures about 4 3/4 inches tall, 2 3/4 inches across top, 3 1/4 inches across base and 4 1/2 inches across widest part. This might have had a lid at one time. I found these in my Mom's things, she loved blue glass. No idea where she got them or what they are. Did research on ebay, but couldn't find the exact type. Not sure if I'm right on what this is. It looks like the color in the last picture of the lid in real life. not the first three which were taken with flash. It is very very old. When held to the light or sun it shows the imperfections in the glass like old picture frames or pane glass from the 1800's. There are no chips or cracks to glass. There is some wear to the gold enameling, mainly the thin stuff, not the thick design on the front or back. It is 6 1/4" high, 3 1/8" across top of jar. A stunning piece of old glass. Large Antique Oil Lamp Opaline Glass Blue & Pink Electrified Blue Pink Colors
The piece is generally dirty and could use a professional cleaning. But there is a mark which is in photo 9 that is obviously some sort of internal crack or something similar. There is no edge on this mark, whatever it is, the mark is in the glass. This section of the lamp is 13 inches tall. The next piece I will discuss is the shade. It is a marvelous pink with beaded blue glass around the edges. There is a section of beads missing as seen in photo 6. The number of missing beads appears to be 4 and they are all in the same location(came unglued I guess) but the shade could be turned so that it cannot be noticed(see photo 4) The top of the shade has some chipped pink coating chips(marble over glass or double layer glass? and the white under glass can be seen(photo 5) The shade lower ring diameter is 9 5/8 inches at the bottom. The overall ... moreheight of this section is about 3 1/2 inches. The white piece is 2 5/8 inches at the bottom ring and is 10 1/2 inches tall. There are some small chips on the edges of the white bottom which would be primarily concealed when mounted. There is a pink topper for the white piece which I was told was a snuffer. This piece was glued on the top when I purchased it. But I removed the glue seal with nail polish so I could disassemble the lamp. I could never have shipped it together/assembled like I purchased it. The whole piece stands 24 1/2 inches when assembled. The light works right now in it's electrical state and I don't know if it could be returned to oil use. Buy with confidence. My feedback is excellent. Vintage Blue Opaline Slag Glass Toothpick Holder We are are offering a unique and beautiful toothpick holder in blue opaline slag glass. This translucent blown glass piece is very light. Thin and delicate with white enamel decoration around the body reminiscent of the Quarkmal of Bohemian Mary Gregory pieces. The color of the glass has been difficult to capture with my camera and is a little too sky blue in my photos as it leans more towards a purpler blue in reality. The toothpick holder measures 2 1/4" high with a rim diameter of 2 1/8" and is retains a rough pontil at the base. Really neat little piece that would be a super addition to an opaline or toothpick holder collection. Condition: Excellent Condition with no chips. Cracks, or breaks. There is a small circular flaw towards the base that is from manufacture(probably a bubble) ... morebut is on the surface only and does not penetrate the glass. Delightful pair of antique French opaline glass vases(the glass has a lot of fire in it when put against light) This hand blown pair dated to early 19th century. Both embellished with hand painted impasto enamel floral design displaying splendor of Napoleon era. Standing 18 cm(7" high they have 9 cm(3.5" diameter at the frilled opening. Which is dressed with aqua blue crest. Both vases are in excellent condition, with no damage apart from expected age wear. Both marked with hand written numbers at the pontil marks, characteristic for the French marks of that period. Please see pictures for details, they are part of my description. Questions are welcome. The glass is semi-opaque. The pontil scar is a creamy white dots chip-only 1-no another defects. The vase from France 1850-1880s. There are no maker. Only marks# 29" The piece measures 6 3/4" high. Top open 1.3/4" in diameter at the mouth, 4.5" midle in diameter and the base 3.5" The artwork is in good condition with some marks and fading of the gold trim. 10 Antique Portieux Vallerysthal Robin Egg Blue Opaline Goblets (PV) France
This is a stunning antique set of 10 blue milk glass or opaline goblets. These were handmade in France by Portieux Vallerysthal. Circa 1920. The beautiful color of this set would be a fabulous accent to your dinner party. Bridal table or baby boy shower. Each goblet measures 6" tall and holds roughly 12.5 ounces. They are in excellent condition. One goblet has a small. Faint stain, see last photo. Please keep in mind that these are antiques and were also handmade.
