The vase was engraved for a C. A. Samuelson at a State Fair in 1905. It is a beautiful EAPG vase with a trumpet shape. The bottom portion of the vase is crystal and the top is stained with Ruby glass over Crystal. The vase measures 6 1/4" tall and 3" in diameter. in excellent condition it has no chips. Nicks or cracks at all. There is a little light wear to the Ruby Stain. Moser? hand painted heavy glass vase with gold gilt detail. A large floral bouquet is on the front panel. On each indentation or thumbprint, there is gold gilt detail as well as gold on the top rim and on the edges of each indentation. Age: Late 19th to early 20th Century Measurement: Approximately 9 1/2" in height Condition: There is wear to the gold gilt especially around the base where it might have been held. Use wear typical of the age on the bottom. Also. Please note there are numerous and that means more than just a few chips on the bottom rim of the vase. I only showed a couple of pictures. Moser glass first became famous for the quality of engraved decoration. He employed brilliant engravers including Edward and Johann Hoffman. The engravers followed long established Bohemian design themes of hunts. Stags and wooded landscapes, which appealed to the indigenous population of Bohemia. Moser was also influenced by European art movements and produced designs inspired by European Baroque works, Japanese ceramics and Islamic goldsmiths. This lovely piece of circa 1900 early oil spot art glass measures approximately 10" tall and 21" in circumference. The opening at the top of vase measures approximately 4" wide. The vase has some roughness to the touch and a couple of very tiny flakes on the inside edge of the top opening. Probably caused at the cutting. There is also a minute"in the making" flaw located towards the top, on the fluted area. Antique Ernst Wahliss EW Turn Vienna White Rose Capodimonte Amphora Vase Austria Hello! You are looking at an antique Ernst Wahliss EW Turn Vienna Austria white rose capodimonte amphora vase. This piece measures approx. 6 1/2"H x 4 1/2"W(at bottom) The red EW Turn Vienna Austria stamp on the bottom dates this vase circa 1899-1918. We researched this vase as much as possible before listing and couldn't find anything quite like it. The capodimonte roses are very unique! It could use a better cleaning than we gave it. It is in great condition for it's age. The only problem we can see is where some of the leaves on the front have some chipping. One part of the leaf right under the small bud is missing and also a small part missing from the end/point of the leaf, see pics#9& 10. The other white areas of the leaves is where ... morethe paint has been worn off, they are not chips. Two tiny points where the rose bud meets the stem is missing as well, see where my fingers are pointing in pics#13& 14. The white petals on the roses are great with no chipping or breaking. Very faint gold wear around the mouth/top edge, small spot of discolor on the inside of the mouth, see pic#20. Neat green leaves also blend into the vase and flow out above the amphora arms at the sides. You can see this same leaf pattern wrapping around the vase if you look closely. The bottom has 1-2 small rough spots, as to be expected with a piece of this age, it's not chipping. The numbers 8166 are engraved in the bottom next to the red EW Turn stamp. No cracks, no repairs, no stains, and not really any shelf wear there are some inclusions in the glass here and there. there are a couple of little dimples on the inner rim– but these appear to be from the manufacturing process. Not chips from bumps. there were two very fine bands of gilding around the base– which has worn off on 3 sides– but remains on the back– there is no sign of it on the front ... moreor the sides– but it was there at one point. And wore off over the past 100+ years. the hand-painted design is all“raised” from the surface of the glass– the branches and the picture frame more so than the leaves and the picture itself. this vase weighs 3 pounds. So the shipping weight may be between 4 and 5 pounds. i’ll probably use a 18 x 12 x 12 outer shipping carton. But i doubt that i can keep the weight under 4 pounds so for international buyers, this will have to travel via priority mail. Fresh from an estate art glass collection. This is a beautifull Iridized Gold Aurene Art Glass vase. The rainbow of subtle colors is just stunning. The photos do not do justice. It stands 7 3/4" tall. 4 3/4" across the top, and 2 3/4" across the base which has a finely ground and polished pontil. There is no signature. I've tried to capture the different hues of color with different angles of light. This is a very beautiful example Gold Aurene art glass. It is all the quality of Tiffany, or Steuben, or Durand. But this one is European, made around 1920. There are a couple very small scuff spots inside the top edge. See photo) There are no chips or cracks and no scuffs on the exterior. Internet browsing suggests that the pretty young subject is a Russian, Countess Potecka and that this work was done by Hermann Sontag(1873-1944) from an earlier portrait by Madame Vigee Le Brun. This delicate porcelain vase is 3 3/8" High. 1/2" across the top and 1 7/8" at its widest point. Bottom is stamped MADE IN GERMANY and with a Maker's mark that I can't decipher. Very good condition. Up for the auction is an antique(Ca. 1900) French art glass vase. It has a tall slightly ribbed body with the bulbous lower part and the top being yellow while the most of the body is clear and acid etched(pics. 1-7) The acid etched part of the body is decorated with a beautiful enameled painting of the blooming iris flower which can be better appreciated on the zoomed images(pics. 8-11) It is unsigned but most likely made by the Mont Joye factory. Nicely polished pontil is shown on pic. 12. It is in an excellent condition without any damage. 12 1/4" tall. I do try to research and correctly describe items to the best of my ability. Dating to the early 1900's. This antique Brush McCoy blue and white stoneware vase was part of the"Lucile" line. With decalcomania flowers and gold trim, it remains in remarkable condition. The only character appears factory born with a small glaze split on one side and a couple of rough spots at the base rim that appear to have occured during kiln removal. Antique Thomas Webb& Sons carved cameo glass vase. Made in England late 19th- very early 20th century. Measures approximately 6 inches high. Baluster shape. Extremely unusual pink colour- think bubble gum pink. Unusual totally opaque inner glass layer. Stark contrast with the white cameo carved outer layer of glass which winds around the entire circumference of the vase. Forming a continuous design. Poppies- some in full bloom and some in bud, foliage of various shapes and sizes- some large, some long and elegant, some feathery and fine. Beautiful detail to carved flowers- see stamen with pistils and anthers, subtle texturing of petals etc. Double rings of white form both the upper and bottom rims. I believe each of the feet may have a few teeny tiny fleabites but it is difficult to tell whether these might be from the manufacturing process(score and break which is how the feet are made) or something else. There are also a few tiny fleabites on the top tip edges of the flower petals. This does not affect the form of the flower itself. Green base is largely covered with moulded and raised gilding Raised flowers. A fine and delicate gold curtain and gilded jewels. Exquisite workmanship. The neck flares to form a floriform, naturalistic rim, also richly gilded with a delicate pattern on the inside. Beautiful double sided portrait painted Royal Vienna vases. On each side of the vase there is a nude or partially nude women with a cherub or a swan.The vases are in excellent condition there is no damage on the vases at all. The only thing is.That one of the snake handles have been professional repaired, but you cant even tell. Some of the old goldworks have been worn off due to age.Please look at the picture with the finger point for better detail. The approximate size of the vase are 16 1/2 inches tall,about 10 inches from one handle to the other end of the opposite handle. The age of the vase are late 19th Century. Antique 1800s Pair Royal Vienna Porcelain Lidded Urn Vase
Two Antique Royal Vienna Porcelain Urns/ Vase 7" high/ 4" between hands. Each features a beautiful woman. They are gold enameled and both have raised beads as part of the painting and decoration. The urns are beautifully done in pink and burgundy. And the handles as well as the trimming are gold painted. Beehive stamp. Conditions: Both are in excellent conditions with no chips. Cracks or repairs, some gold color loss especially on the hands and lids. Both lids sustain minor repair each, a re painted flake to each at the rim, but non is noticeable unless close inspection.
