A beautiful antique vintage 10 inch tall leaded glass corset"sawtooth" vase. Is 4 1/4 inch wide at top. It has no chips or flea bites. Great reductions in price; I don't think you will find a cut glass vase of this quality. Condition and size for less. All"teeth" accounted for. I see a couple of minute marks inside the glass typically found with quality glass. But cannot be felt inside or out. I have examined closely. It is not cloudy at all and in beautiful condition. Has cut butterflies. Flowers, and stems of flowers. Starburst pattern on the bottom. I have rotated the vase to show all sides. As well as the bottom. Weighs 3.4 pounds. Antique Japanese Meiji period cloisonne enamel dragon vase. This is a superb late Meiji period vase that date to about 1890- 1910.The dragon are quite wonderful. Very expressively drawn and the workmanship of top quality. I suspect this is the work of Ota Tameshiro, one of the top shippo makers of the period. The vase measures 18" high by 9" in diameter it has 6 damaged areas and repaired four of them at the same place. Or"glass that looks like porcelain" It has the S owerby peacock head logo inside. And the design lozenge with a date code of 1876. The design of little squares. Some of them cross-hatched, reminds me of needlepoin t. The vase measures 3" by 3" Including the feet. I cannot find any scratches. Chips or color faults- it is really pristine. ANTIQUE AFRICAN HARD PETRIFIED LEATHER TRIBAL VASE the vase was acquired through a estate art storage auction of west African artifacts and other antiques. i know very little of African art. the vase. I am not relay shore it is a vase but we will just call it that. it stands at 17 1/2 inches tall and 29 inches round at its widest point. it comes with 2 rings one on witch it sits on and the other on its neck. there appear to be small metal pins or dots in it. the vase itself is made of some hard petrified leather. there are small carvings on it of what looks like a sun and other images i cant make out. there is some form of stitching on the neck made of leather of a different kind. it has a leather strap with some fur of the animal going around the base and has been petrified to the base. It then comes over the top to form a handle. it has ... moresome weight to it. 3 to 5 pounds. this vase is very old and has seen a great deal of use. it is covered with markings and signs of usage and repairs over its life time as most things its age would have. its old i never seen anything like it before. no reserve price. It has a truly one of the best underglazed iron red dragon. The combination of blue white and underglazed iron red color is among the most difficult technique of ceramic making. Because of the huge difference of the firing temperatures of both colors. Most underglazed iron red painting would be melted together and lose its strokes and shapes. Take a look at our close up pictures of the dragon of this vase, every stroke is clear. It has some small green spot, evidence of true underglazed iron red color. The dragon wrapped its body around the globular body and neck of this vase. The blue cloud around the dragon is painted with different ... morestyle than other Qianlong vase you have probably seen. Without any major strokes, the cloud is actually formed with many small dots. Top and bottom is still decorated with traditional waves of the oceans.
