ANTIQUE JAPANESE SATSUMA MANTLE URN. HAND DECORATED WITH FIGURES AND FLORAL DESIGN 12" TALL. About 7" diameter at its widest part. It's primary color is a burnt orange. Handpainted design. Very Good condition. There are some very small areas where the paint is worn. Check the photos. It is nicely painted with Samurai on one side and geisha girls in flowers in the other. The detail is extraordinary. There are no markings There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. There is some wear to the gilding.

Rim, and base, elaborately decorated with polychrome yusen enamels. Two black ground panels on the main body are covered with colorful butterflies, peonies, a bird, wisteria flowers, blue and white irises, and a big butterfly. The brown speckled enamel areas between the panels are decorated with multicolored paulownia flowers known in Japan as kiri. The neck is covered with floral shippo motifs. The level of the details and the quality of workmanship is outstanding. This is a true work of art. The vase is 9.5" high and 6" wide in the widest part. Late 1900s On the bottom incised Japan in black enamel. This vase measures 9.75” Tall approx. 6 inches in boulbous body diameter. Condition is good. Showing normal vintage wear that is consistent with age and use. There is some patina, and there are some wear in areas in enamel rubbed off typical of vases that are this age. this is an exquisite handmade Korean vase made from brass. Mother of pearl, abalone, and lacquer. it has exquisite ornate detailing with beautifully inlaid abalone and mother of pearl. It is a scene of 2 birds surrounded by a nice floral design. the black cover is a lacquer finish that has a nice shine to it. Antique? Vintage Persian Islamic Pottery Vase Hand Painted Leaves 10 Inch
I have had this vase so long that I have forgotten where I bought it. I probably bought it at an estate sale. I know that it is not new. I have about thirty years of experience with antique items but I am not sure how old this vase is. I am far from being an expert when it comes to Persian or Islamic pottery. The bit of research that I have done on the net tells me that this vase is very likely Persian and Islamic. I think that it is possibly old enough to be considered antique. I leave it to the buyer to determine how old it is and exactly where and by whom it was made. It measures close to 10 inches tall. The diameter of the base is about 3 3/4 inches. It weighs close to 2 pounds 3.6 ounces. The condition is much like you see it in my photos. You can see a small chip on the inside of the ring on the bottom that forms the base. There are ... morefine cracks in the glaze that are commonly called"crazing" There are some tiny holes in the glaze from when it was fired. There is an about 3 1/2 by 4 inch area near the bottom of the vase where the glaze has a whitish/hazy appearance from when it was fired. I have provided a close-up of the two edges of one of the small handles where it looks and feels like a tiny amount of glaze is missing and the surface is darkened. Otherwise.
