This pair of Bennington Parian vases came from an auction in Vermont. The invoice from the auction states- see Barrett-Bennington Pottery& Porcelain 1958 p 75 plate 95H. They are beautiful vases with the blue accent. the blue is deeper in color than the pictures show) and an applied grape with leaves design. They are in good conditon, no cracks. When I first purchased these vases, I thought they were in excellent condition. On very close examination, I found part of the vines are missing. I have show all four sides. A corner of one leaf is missing, see picture#7, and two smaller leaf edges that are hard to see, please see all pictures. They measure 8 1/2" high. I recently found some light spots in one area, see the last picture, they may come off with cleaning.

SO nice! For auction today we have a matching pair of very vintage footed porcelain vases- perhaps Nippon? You experts out there will know for sure! As identical as they can be for entirely hand painted pieces. They are black and feature violets. There is paint loss to the gold rim and those darling gold claws/paws- we shall just say feet. Neither of the vases has any damage, cracks, or repairs. Gliding my finger across the rims they feel not rough but have a little lumpiness, primarily where there is paint loss. Regarding the body of the vases, one does show much more paint loss(black) as pictured. So unusual, and so attractive, each measures about 4.5 inches high, and is 2.75 inches across the mouth. Absolutely gorgeous when you see them- soft turquoise-blue and fawn tan porcelain base is accented in pinks and all-over gold gilt and European wildflowers. Tulips, jonquils, tiny roses, etc. There are tiny little raised white accents within the flowers, decorating the stamen and the rough open edges of some flowers, kind of pate sur pate. There is faint crazing that is not visible unless you're really determined to find it. The gold gilt is 95% present, with just a bit of rubbing-off of the gilt on the handles. I have been able to discover NO chips, cracks, nicks or repairs of any kind. The handpainted patterns are repeated on both sides of the vase forms. This is a gorgeous pair of Mary Gregory vases. The pair depicts a Victorian era boy and girl in nature scene. The scenes on this pair of large vases is the most elaborate of any I've ever seen. Spanning three-quarters around each vase. They measure 12.75" tall. Mary Gregory was an American artist known for her beautiful glass decoration. As far as my research shows. These pieces derive from the late 1800s. I am no expert on vases, so please use the photos as part of the description. The gold gilding on the boy vase at and near the rim is largely intact. Antique Edwardian Sterling Silver Pair of Vases. London 1905 by William Comyns& Sons Ltd. Here we have a pair of Edwardian silver vases. Each embossed with beautiful floral garlands and two figures. Fully hallmarked Sterling Silver London 1905. Stamped with the makers mark'W.C' for William Comyns and Sons Ltd. The total weight of both vases is approximately 539 grams. The height of each vase from bottom of the base to very top is approximately 12.8 cm. No signs of any major damage. Only minor wearing and surface scratching from general use which is to be expected from an item of this age, with the odd tiny dimple surface mark in various places. There is the odd minor dimple in a few positions such as the edge of one of the bases and in around the body of the vase but I have tried to photograph this so you can see exactly what ... moreis the details are. The bases of each vase are loaded/weighted. These vases are real quality pieces of Edwardian silver and would make an excellent addition to any collection. Antique ROYAL RUDOLSTADT Art Nouveau Vase Pair Boy Girl 10.5" Lg Figural Figure
This wonderful pair of antique figural vases was produced by the company of Lazarus Straus& Sons and feature a boy and a girl standing on stairs that wrap around the vases. Excellent form and decoration. The painting is very expertly done. Very intricate work. Although Lazarus Straus& Sons was based in Rudolstadt Germany they also had wares made in Limoges France and Carlsbad Austria so it possible they were produced there. Approx measurements are 10 1/2" tall(and 10 5/8" tall) and 6 1/2 wide at widest part. The boy was is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. The girl vase leans a bit to one side as shown. It appears the base was possible chipped at the factory and shaved off to fix it. You can still see some minor chip like areas to the very bottom as shown however they have been painted over as shown. ... moreIf you look at the way the applied blue beads have been painted on base, you can see this all happened in the making. Other than the little lean, you do not really notice the bottom due to the way the vase is made with the large bulbous body. No other cracks, chips or repairs. For sale is a pair of antique Chinese hand carved soapstone vases; one double vase and one triple vase. Overall they are in pretty good shape with very minor wear. The red double vase has a couple chips around the rim(visible in the photos) Other minor wear may be found. But I did not see any big breaks, cracks, or anything else really significant. The soapstone is overall pretty smooth and really just needs some cleaning up as these are older and dust settled in the nooks and crannies.
