ANTIQUE HAND-PAINTED RUSSIAN PIN YOUNG GIRL WEARING PURPLE DRESS & HEAD SCARF
Description: Antique Russian pin with a very finely painted depiction of a young girl wearing what looks to be a purple velvet dress with a long gold necklace and a scarf on her head. We do not know whether this is a painting on porcelain or whether it is enameled. And we will leave the expertise of knowing for certain up to you. We do not see a signature and although these pieces are sometimes signed on the back we will not take the piece apart to find out, since that would ruin the pin. What I am sure of, is that it is an old and a very beautiful piece, with a great feel to it. Framing the painting is a rose-gold-colored frame and the frame is unmarked so we assume it to be gold-filled metal. Surrounding all of this are 16 prong-set, intricately faceted and beautiful crystals. This piece measures 1-7/16 inches high(36 mm high) X 1-5/32 ... moreinches wide(33 mm wide) The portrait itself measures 15/16 inch high(24 mm high) X 13/16 inch wide(20 mm wide) The stones measure 3/16 inch across(5 mm across) The back of this piece looks to be brass. The pin has its original C-clasp which still works nicely and stays securely shut. At the top, there used to be an articulated bail for hanging this as a pendant on a chain. The bail is long gone, but an antique jeweler can put on a replacement bail for you if you wish to wear this piece as a pendant necklace. It has three large daisy flowers each meaning 1 1/2" long and 1 1/4" wide. The two smaller daisy flowers measure 7/8" long by 3/4" wide. The entire bracelet is 9" long and designed to adjust in size. I do not now much about this. It was purchased at an estate sale, it just looks to be very very old. This measures about 3 1/4" across and 2" high. The front has mostly blue enamel with some purple and white. One piece of the blue has been cracked and a small piece of that is missing. The back has a pin to attach it to you, but in the middle there is another pin type piece that looks like it was the original one and the other attached later but not positive. Along the back right side edge which looks like silver there are what looks like markings, I could not make them out with my magnifying glass, from what I could tell they might be hallmarks. This auction is for a most exquisite antique French Edwardian pure silk Chantilly lace trim. It is in a very rare shade of what I would call amethyst purple. It is not royal purple or violet. It is a very rich and classy shade and one that I have never seen before. Its texture is so delicate and fine and also crisp. Since I do not believe it has ever been used. The delicate floral pattern is edged with a very fine thread of paler purple/lavender. When the lace is overlapped, it has this beautiful shimmering quality in which the floral motifs become more prominent. This is a beautiful antique Victorian purple amethyst stick pin. It has a 12mm by 9mm amethyst cabochon bezel set as the head. The entire piece measures just over 2" long. I'm not what kind of metal this is. But the entire piece is in nice shape with minimal wear, with the exception of some markings on the back of the head where someone(unfortunately) tried to acid test it. Vintage Antique Transitional Brass Filigree Blue Enamel Purple Rhinestone Brooch
Lovely 1920s 1 5/8" in diameter Brass Filigree Brooch. The Raised Layered Design consists of a round filigree top with a Dark Amethyst rhinestone prong set to its center. This rhinestone decorated filigree sets on top of an Enameled Dark Bluish Purple Round high domed Disc with Gold Accents. These all are riveted to a round base of Brass Filigree that is slightly domed in the underside center. Finishing off the design is a"C" Clasp Closure. UNSIGNED. SIZE: 1 5/8" in diameter. CONDITION: Very good with no missing stones. No enamel loss or major damage to the filigree. The gold accent paint looks as if it bled into the dark enamel in one spot. There is also a few breaks in the filigree but feel that it might be from manufacturing process as the ends of the breaks all have the antique covering and finish exactly like the ... morerest of the filigree.
