Up for bid is this VICTORIAN CUT GLASS& SILVER PLATE TOPPED WINE/CLARET DECANTER or PITCHER. Measuring 11 1/2" tall; 4 1/2" diameter base; 6 1/2" handle length; 1" spout with beautifully cut criss-cross diamond pattern in 3 places centered between 3 horizontal lines and cut diagonal stripes under each diamond. Spout features some raised work. Neck, spout and lid are silver plate, but I believe the handle is pewter, as it does not tarnish. I can not find any markings on the server as to maker or pattern and do not know the country of origin. There is a small hair line 1/4" bubble scratch under the bottom cut ring between the 2 diamonds when handle is facing left. Please see last picture. This is an antique yellow ware milk pitcher with multi color green glaze. The pitcher looks very old- it measures 6 inches tall and is in great condition with the exception of one small chip under the base. Tiny but heavy crazing is visible throughout on close inspection. No other issues or damage. Decorated with an odd pattern of flowers. I do not know the maker and the pitcher does not appear to be marked. Very nice old pottery piece. Antique c. 1820 English Staffordshire Soft Paste Pitcher w/ Deer Hunting Scene
This somewhat large(not a small cream pitcher or a syrup pitcher) pink luster-painted porcelain jug from England. It probably dates back to around 1820. Its height at spout 6 5/8" Width from handle to spout 6 1/2" depth at belly 4 3/8" It is unmarked except for two letters or numbers on the base, hard to read but might say"85" and I don't know the meaning of the mark. This is what is called Staffordshire soft paste pottery, and typical of Staffordshire it depicts a country scene on each side. One side features two deer resting under a tree and the other side features a deer being hunted down by 2 dogs. There are green leaves and pink lustre branches accenting the raised pattern around the edges and the handle is shaped like a branch. The colors in the hand painted design are still very clear and bright but there ... moreare spots where the green paint on some of the leaves and especially the brown paint on some flowers on the bodies of the deer have worn away due to age. There is hardly if any other usage wear and there are no chips, breaks, or repairs. There is crazing on the inside of the rim and there is one crazing line darker than others, sort of looks like a hairline but doesn't show on front of pitcher so unsure. There are also about three or four pinhead size dots on the rim which might be places where the glaze popped to reveal unglazed areas, and some dirt might emphasize these. I say this to be as specific as I can be-I think these are really minor but I want you to have ALL the specifics and I also want you to ask me if anything needs clarification. Be sure to look at all the pictures. In researching this item I found a similar item on Ebay, but much smaller, for more than double the price, and an almost identical item having been sold by an internet antique site for 50% more than my asking price, albeit that one had no paint loss. Beautiful antique measuring cup pitcher with spout- no handle. Patented July 13. 1880 embossed on the bottom. The pitcher is heavily embossed all around. It reads'FAMILY MEASURING JAR' on one panel- the next says'MANUFACTURED BY THE' and the last panel says'ROCHESTER TUMBLER CO. It also says Flour with measurements of 1/4. 1/2, and 3/4 pound. 1 quart liquid with measurements in pints and ounces. The next measurement is 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and 1 pound of powdered sugar, brown sugar, or coffee. The final measurement is for granulated sugar up to one pound. The are no chips or cracks in this piece. There is a small piece on the top edge where a thread is in the glass. The pitcher is 7 1/2 inches high. 4 1/2 inches across at the spout and 3 inches across the bottom. Shipping includes insurance.

This is a spectacular lot for collection or resale. F. B. Rogers Silver Co. was a silver smithing company founded in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts in 1883. It was acquired by Edmund W. Porter and L.B. West, who incorporated the company and moved manufacturing operations to Taunton, Massachusetts in 1886. For several years, the company became known as West Silver Company, and was producing silver products for the William Rogers Manufacturing Company of Hartford, Connecticut. About 1904, West and Porter retired ... moreand sold the company to William Davison, Carleton A. Woodward, and H.E. Nearing, who changed the companys name back to F.B. Rogers. In 1925, the company moved from 31 Winthrop Street to 59 Wales Street. This auction is for an antique English transferware ceramic pitcher. The cream and brown colored pitcher is marked on the bottom ~ dating it to 1880. The pitcher measures 4 3/4" high and is 4" across from the tip of the spout to the handle. The base is 2" in diameter. The pitcher is decorated with scenes of a bird. Flowers and deer in a forest setting. Unfortunately. There is a tiny chip and a hairline crack on the top rim of the pitcher ~ these can be seen in my photos. This is an antique silverplate cream pitcher marked P.S. Co Sheffield 3101. The creamer measures 3 inches tall and the base measures 3 inches across. There is an old style etched flower design on the front. Very light surface scratching normal with use but overall this piece is in great shape. Marked as shown. This is a beautiful example of hand pressed. Fire polished Heisey Glass. Glass syrup decanter with silver lid. Fine and delicate looking design etched into glass at varying depths. A floral design with starburst elements and the continuous geometric patterns give it a modern look. But it is an earlier piece. It is marked with Heisey Glass Company trademark. The diameter nd containing the H on either side of the spout. The silver lid is marked'Pat'd April 5. 1910' The lid fits tight but easily removed for filling or cleaning. The lid has a spring spout. Unique Antique Flow Blue Art Nouveau Ewer Pitcher With Rope Style Handle
Gorgeous Art Nouveau Flow Blue Ewer Pitcher for your consderation. This style pitcher was very popular around 1895. The detail on this piece is outstanding. It has a long narrow neck that flares down to the bottom of the pitcher which billows out like ladies skirts did back at that time. It's shape waned in popularity probably because it was hard to keep clean and is not very practical to pour out of! It is made of white porcelain. And has beautiful flow blue flowers on the widest part of the pitcher. There is a sprinkling of gold here and there and also over the flowers. At the base of the neck the porcelain is embossed with a feathered look. Around the spout area on the outer sides is a diamond shaped embossed pattern in the porcelain, and the bottom of the spout takes on a feather type appearance. The handle is curled at the top in ... morea smooth gold leaf type look, and then the porcelain is formed in a rope style that is also in the soft blue color as the neck of the ewer. On the bottom the only marking is'England' in the flow blue and two small spots that look like numbers. This is a very remarkable piece that takes you back into time. This has been in my family for years; very interesting piece as it measures about 7.5 inches high and 5 across. It is blue in color. It is very old and it has a number on the bottom of the pitcher. There is a crack in the pitcher that feels like it went through but with the dark color I cant tell on the front. I know some people have dark lights to see if it has been repaired but I dont have one, so bid accordingly. I tired to photograph it. The fruit decal is raised and it painted/colored with greens and golds. This is such a beautiful pitcher and very rare; displays nicely. I don't know the true origin of this glass pitcher but the glass itself and style make me think it's primitive antique glass. Bought at an estate sale of a true pack rat. From a garage loaded with untouched boxes that looked like they were there for decades. I've owned it for over eight years myself) No chips or cracks just bubbles and stuff within the glass. Could this be Mt. Washington or Pairpoint, Blenko, or Pilgrim? Anyone have any ideas? Tall at 10.25" The base is 3.5" and the top opening from spout lip is 5" wide. Overall it's approx 7" wide. Vintage Reverse Swirl Pitcher. For auction is a Victorian glass pitcher with a reverse swirl design in an aqua blue and white pattern which may be either Northwood or Hobbs. The pitcher has raised ribs which swirl down in a counter clockwise direction and the blue and white pattern spiraling in a clockwise direction. The pitcher appears to be hand blown and the ground pontil mark is visible on the bottom. It has a nicely detail handle. The colors in the glass start darker at the top and gradually become lighter as they move to the bottom of the pitcher. The inside of the pitcher is white. It is in very good condition with no chips. Cracks or breaks. There is a small rough spot on the spout that appears to be a manufacturing flaw when the spout was made. It stands 7 ¾” tall and about 7 ¾” to the edge of the handle. Antique Daisy and Fern Cranberry Opalescent Art Glass Water Pitcher. This piece dates from the late 1800's. This piece measures 9" high. The condition of this piece is very good however there are several air bubbles in the glass that have not burst. There also is one near the bottom on the outside of the pitcher that did burst. It appears to me that this might have happened in the making. There are no chips and no cracks. This piece is decorated with white opalescent daisy and fern pattern and there top is crimped with white trim. The handle is clear and applied. Nice colors.
