You are viewing a gorgeous antique pitcher and bowl set including the matching commode and two part soap dish. This set is so stunning. Better in person than what the pictures show. This is a very large set, bowl measures 17" across and the pitcher is 12" tall. The set is in almost perfect condition. Upon close examination I discovered a small hairline inside the large bowl on the side, does not go through the outside. The liner for the soap dish also has a hairline. This set looks as though it has only been displayed as I have done. I was told this is an English set and is over 100 years old. Only one piece has number markings on the bottom. The inside looks white on the photos, but it is much more subdued in real life. Weight is 5 lbs when empty. Exact age is unknown, but I am 59, and I remember my grandmother serving iced tea out of this same pitcher. I remember because I couldn't lift it when it was full as a child. ANTIQUE DRESDEN CHINA PITCHER FLORAL DESIGN
Up for bid is an antique Dresden Pitcher. This floral pitcher stands 6.5 inches tall from base to spout and measures 9 inches from spout edge to handle edge. It has a delicate pink and yellow rose floral graphic with a green ribbon band the goes around the center of the pitcher on its front. There is gold edging that runs along the top and also accents the handle. There is wear on it. I do not see and chips. Cracks or fleabites, but there is overall crazing which is typical of a piece this old. Still a lovely accent piece for your Victorian collectables. Up for consideration is this Very Old Antique Warranted Handled 6 Cup or 1.5 Quart Pitcher with a Date that we believe is 1838. But it could be 1888. It is in very good antique condition. There are a few cracks but they do not go all the way through and on the bottom there is one very small chip at outter base(see photos) None of the cracks go all the way through to the inside of the pitcher. The larger-water or coffee pitcher has overlapping green string beans and flower with foliage design overlapping the body on the front and back side with yellow in color structured background.Inside gla glaze is in very nice purple pink color. The bottom has been designed in brown basket wave design.The handle is in nice light bluegreen color. These etchings have a red color to them and also have a floral style intricate engraving to them. This pitcher measures 9" tall with lid by 6 and 1/4" wide(spout to handle) This unit is in great condition however it must be noted that the actual top flip lid has been broken off at the actual weld. This means that the lid will not stay on the actual body. The lid needs a tap solder to stay secure to the base. This is a beautifully etched piece of art. The details in the brass are amazing. Authentic Antique 7 1/2" Revere Ware Pitcher
This is a lovely example of the distinguished Revere line. The white pitcher is lavishly decorated with flowers in varying shades of purple. Various shades of green encircle the blossoms. As I said. The pitcher is lavishly decorated on the outside and also inside the lip. The"curliques" of the handle and base are beautiful. Gilded touches add to the beauty. There are some rub marks on the gilding which is to be expected for something of this age. There are no flaws other than slightly less than 1/2" crack on the lip which I have tried to show in picture#3. No messy attempt has been made to repair this crack and I think it only adds to the authenticity of the piece, rather than distract from it. Up for your consideration is a beautiful silver plate pitcher made by Sheffield in England. This pitcher was made in about the 1880's. The craftmanship is superb on this piece. The detail is amazing. This pitcher measures 8-1/4 from the bottom to the highest point. And is 7-1/2" wide. Not including the handle. The conditon is good. There are no visible ding or dents that I can see. However there are quite a few spots where the copper is showing through the silver plate. It only enhances the beauty in this piece. I have not tried any cleaners on it. A pretty pitcher commemorating the coronation of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911. The portraits of the King& Queen are very well done. The picther is decorated all over with purple flowers(looks like violets) and has an embossed design of flowers on tall stems all around the bottom of the pitcher. The top edge is nicely sculpted with gold gilt trim. It is 6.25 inches high. 6.25 inches from tip of spout to the handle and 2.5 inches in diameter. From the English Registry Mark on the bottom of this pitcher one can tell it was made in 1850. This is a large ironstone pitcher measuring 6 1/2 inches at the base and 10 inches high. I have taken closeup photos of a number of issues. As you can see the base has some flakes as does the inside and there is a small hairline where the handle meets the top rim. Which is turned in to catch ice. It measures 9" from lip to bow of handle. The base is over 4" in diameter. The rim has a large saw tooth cut around it and the bottom a complex star. The sides bow out and the glass has all the bubbles and threads. Typical to old glass. The applied handle also has a lot of bubble inclusions. No chips or cracks or stains. Up for auction is this Victorian silverplate small pitcher or creamer from the Meriden Silverplate Company. Marks on the bottom include: MADE AND PLATED BY THE MERIDEN SILVERPLATE CO. 01415 U.S.A. The pitcher is about 5 inches tall and 5 inches wide at its lip and handle. The pattern is floral and appears cut into the metal. In the center is a place for a monogram. But none is present. The pitcher has wear consistent with its age. I can't see any dents. But there is tarnish and some corrosion, so I'm not sure how well this would polish up. However, it's a nice piece and has some weight to it. It's not flimsy at all. The item in this listing is from a collector who had vast areas of interest. He housed his collections in temperature controlled buildings allowing access to only a chosen few. He was retired from the U.S. Army ... moreand had served in World War II and the Korean War. There is a flap on the inside of the spout it seems to be stuck in a closed position so right now the water just dribbles out. Looks like white residue which could be just layers of caked on silver polish? Looks like there could have been a repair done to the lid. Or it is a Manufacturer's flaw. See photo 13.
