Antique 150 A.D. Roman Iridescent Art Glass Perfume Medicine Flask, Bottle, Vase
This piece is being relisted as the previous winning bidder never completed the transaction. You are looking at an authentic ancient Roman piece of glass. It was excavated after centuries of being buried in the earth and does have soil deposits remaining on it. These viles were used to package valuable oils. Perfumes and cosmetics in Roman times. The delicate glass is handblown, tinted a pale green with a very pretty irridescence. It is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips and measures about 4 1/2 inches tall and a little over 2 inches wide. This piece was purchased at the estate auction of a collector of all things ancient and antique. This piece was previously bid on and won and the bidder never paid, thus it is relisted. Pretty antique art deco perfume bottle stopper. Stamped Towle Sterling on the side. Same pattern that matches other Towle pieces that had brushes and daubers to match that were part of vanity sets. Measures about 2.5 inches tall, with the widest part on top almost 1 1/4 inches across. Has a ribbed design and is in great shape with no dents, just some surface scratches and dirt as it needs a good polishing and cleaning. Here is a superb English perfume or scent bottle. Elaborate sterling mounts decorated with what looks like a battle scene on the lid and masks and flowers around the neck. Fully hallmarked for London Sterling made in the year 1892 by William Comyns. It measures approximately 4 3/4" in height. Beautiful swirled glass. Perfect condition. Buyer pays shipping. An antique victorian sarcophagus scent or perfume bottle box. A beautiful item in mother of pearl each panel finely engraved depicting flowers and birds.Shallow delicate line engraving, the front displays a graceful peacock amongst the elaborate foliate swirls and flowers with a butterfly fluttering by.The edges have a simple cross hatched design creating a border.Crimson tafetta lined 10.5cm by 5cm by 5.5cm, inside is 4.7cm by 6.5cm.The item is well over a hundred years old and is in good antique condition as the pictures show.There has been one skill full repair to the mother of pearl, the engraved edge has been carved onto the tiny replacement piece.It no way detracts from its beauty a lovely scent box. Antique French Sterling Silver Fitted Perfume Set Click on the thumbnails to view more photos Here is a most unusual and very attractive set of four French 950 sterling silver and etched crystal perfume bottles together with a pretty silver-topped powder jar. All designed in the Neo-Classical style and neatly and compactly set into a fitted matching silver base elegantly decorated with floral garlands. The four crystal perfume bottles have gently curved surfaces enhanced on their upper portions by an etched floral swag design and are indented on their backs so that they rest comfortably against the raised circular cage in the center of the base. This acts as a support for the powder jar which is cleverly held securely in place by the backs of the perfume bottles. This ingenious design not only makes for an elegant presentation but also permits ... morethe storage of several pieces in a small space. The silver decoration has all been set against a textured background which has been artfully dotted with tiny circular motifs. The upper rim of the base has been topped by a narrow border of stylized floral motifs and the lower rim has been decorated with a row of miniature circles. Its center has been completely encircled by a charming design of delightful flower garlands prettily topped by ribbons. The motif of the floral swags has been repeated on the silver stoppers of the perfume bottles and also on the lift-off lid of the powder jar, the ribbons in these cases attractively replaced by additional flowers. The lower rim of the powder jar has also been encircled with a narrow border of miniature, intricately and meticulously detailed flowers. The interiors of the lid, the four stoppers and the circular base and also the upper rim of the powder jar have all been finished with a light gold wash. This a gorgeous Antique Perfume Bottle with Sterling Silver overlay. The silver is thick and design lovely. It has old Hallmarks 925/1000 and Mark is readable as produced in Atteboro. Massachusetts by Saart Brothers in about 1906. Patented. The bottle measures a Large approx. 5 1/2" Tall X 3 1/2 inches high. The stopper is FREE of Chips. however looks like the interior stem has some cracks. Inside there is some crusty debrie which needs to be cleaned out. No dings! Rather than a Victorian tearcatcher. The bottle is made of clear glass with gold enamel? paint. The bottle is painted with swirls on the front and back and stylised leaves on its sides It has its original stopper that is dark red in colour with gold painting. The bottle measures 14 cm long. Just under 2 cm wide and 1.5 cm thick. The bottle is in good condition. Offered is a most unusual object shaped like a large egg. It was sold as a cordial set. But I believe it is either an absinthe container or a perfume bottle box. It is reminiscent of Czech glass pieces. The central glass bottle with stopper is the only one included. It is in excellent condition and is 5" in height. The insert is brass with 6 holes around a 7th hole. Some of the Coralene is worn off, but much of it is intact. The scene is a quaint house next to a tree which looks like a birch tree. Although the cased glass appears tan in the photos, it is really more orange. The glass is free of any chips, cracks or repairs. Description: A fine antique 19th century French silver and cut glass scent bottle. The glass body features an exquisite all over zipper cut patterning. An ornate repousse of rocailles. Scrolling foliate and petite flowers encompass the silver lid and collar. A blank cartouche tops the hinged lid, opening to reveal a gilt vermeil interior and a cut glass stopper. Hallmarked with the wild boar's head, a French standard for.800/1000 silver. The mark was typically used on small objects of at least 80% pure silver content, close to.925 sterling. Fabulous Antique French Lady's Travel Companion With Two Perfume Bottles c.1860
Dating to around 1860. This wonderful cylindrical lady's companion is created from leather with gilded fittings including the clasp to the front which keeps it tidily shut. Once the clasp is released, the cylinder opens to reveal a blue silk lined interior fitted with a variety of sewing accessories including steel instruments and cut bone thread winders. Each end is a caddy holding a cut crystal scent bottle with gilded hinged lid which once opened reveal that they both retain their original cut crystal stoppers, most unusual and quite wonderful. Here is an antique silver plate perfume bottle. It is marked Pairpoint Mfg. Co. New Bedford. Mass. quadruple plate. It measures 6 inches tall. Other than needing a new squeeze ball and some additional polishing it is in excellent condition. It has the name EMMA engraved on the side. Email me with any questions.
