Circa 1880-1910. This wonderful piece would be a great addition to your antique Silver or bottle collection or a very special gift! This is an exquisite example of a Sterling silver overlay bottle complete with it's original lid& glass stopper! Not only is it"colored" glass which is more desirable than clear. But it is a thicker overlay sought after by collectors, unlike later cheaper pieces of silver overlay. The bottle is a dark green glass with a thick Sterling silver overlay of beautiful. Swirling Art Nouveau curves. The bottle is hallmarked on the overlay"STERLING" on the bottom edge. The original Sterling silver cap/lid is engraved on the top with ornate script initials and the inside appears to be gold plated/flashed. The cap is threaded inside and screws on& off of the threaded top of the glass bottle. The cap is also hallmarked"STERLING" on the bottom side. Under this cap is the original glass stopper. The tab handle to the stopper was applied to the round base. There is a line where the tab was attached(this is not a crack) These bottles are very rare due to their fragility. Most pieces found have cracks hidden by the silver overlay. This piece does not. The bottle measures approx. 2 5/8" tall from the base to the top of the Sterling silver lid. The bottle measures approx. 1 1/2" diameter. This item is an estate piece and in excellent condition for it's age. The Sterling lid has some shallow dents consistent with it's age& the softness of Sterling. The silver overlay is in excellent condition. There are no pieces missing, only a few small dings. Handsome Antique English Fine Cut Glass Scent or Perfume Flask c.1880
A wonderfully tactile large perfume flask. The type that would have been used for an Eau de Toilette or Eau de Cologne, rather than the more concentrated perfume. The large flask is a joy to hold with its crisp hand cut surface with smooth lozenge in the centre of the front. The collar and screw top are lavishly gilded and once removed reveals a glass stopper in the top. Excellent condition dating to the Victorian era, around 1880 and measuring 5 1/2" tall. These are all antique and vintage pieces, and will have attributes in keeping with their age. Fabulous Green double-ended perfume in the form of opera glasses One end would have held smelling salts. And the other perfume One end has a screw top and the other side a flip hinged lid No Hallmarks. But cleans like silver! Center would have held sovereign coins or act as a vinaigrette or secret compartment Lids and hinges are in tact and dent free! Note the diamond marque cut panel design in the glass All Original! Very Victorian. And very desirable Although it displays beautifully. It has one problem: Note the internal fracture as pictured. Maroon red, peachy yellow& gilt trim. It is 3 1/8" including the sterling top and 7/8" at the widestpart. The ball top twists off. There is no glassstopper. nIt is marked on the sterling with"CM" for Charles May. This listing is for a Vintage/Antique Hand Made Middle Eastern Anointing or Perfume Bottle that is made out of brass and brass coated silver metal. The silver metal has me puzzled. I'm not sure if it a sterling silver or not. I put a high powered magnet on the bottle and it would not stick and didn't have any pull to it. Sterling is non-magnetic so I'm not sure what to say about this. Maybe it is sterling and maybe it's not so please just bid because you like the bottle. I believe the bottle part is made out of glazed ceramic. The bottle measures 7 7/8 inches high and 2 3/8 inches in diameter at it's widest point. I measures 1.5" X 1.25" X.5" It is marked Sterling and the mirror is in very good condition without chips or cracks. The perfume bottle holder contains the original glass perfume bottle with a lavender glass carved twist cap. It measures 1-13/16" X 7/8" elliptical base. It is in excellent condition and is marked GEORG JENSEN INC. STERLING. The lipstick measures 2" x 11/16" diameter circular base. the lipstick case does have a couple of dings. It is marked GEORG JENSEN INC USA STERLING. Each piece is embellished with a thistle bud or pine cone motif. Each piece is monogrammed wit a script ... moreM A T. The chatelaine hanger or hook is monogrammed MTL. This could be that it was purchased after the owner was married. For example Mary Ann Todd later Mary Todd LIncoln. I found this somewhat curious but most probably coincidental. The chatelaine has a tango ring which ladies of the time would wear on their finger while dancing. The belt hook probably is more practical. The belt hook is marked STERLING 984 and a reverse C or crescent. The belt hook measures 2.5" x 1.5" Total weight of these pieces is 94 grams. Here’s a glass arrow stopper I’ve had sitting around. I’ve just found out it belongs to a John Frederic’s 1935“Golden Arrow” perfume bottle. The stopper part that goes into the bottle is ½” or 13mm wide. The overall length is 2 5/16ths or 66mm. CAVEATS: looks like there is something broken off at the top(pictured) I don’t know if this was originally gold but there isn’t a hint of paint on it. Otherwise it’s fine. 2 lot Antique 1900ish Tri section Perfume Bottle stoppers celluloid metal holder
Up for auction is a wonderful lot of 2 antique. Circa 1900ish, tri sectioned perfume bottle sets with holders. Set 1: Larger of the two sets. Has three sectioned bottles rounded to fit into a goldtone brushed holder. Holder has 3 feet and a complete bottom so all bottles sit upright in the stand independently or together. Stoppers are faceted and sanded at the bottle upper edge to ensure stoppage of any loss of perfume bottle is tipped over. Each stopper has the long stem that allows for return of perfume all the way to almost the bottom of each bottle. There is a slight chip in the upper edge of one of the stoppers. There are fleabite bubbles in these stoppers. One of the bottle tops has a slight chip in it. Each bottle is 4 3/4" tall x 2 1/3" widest x 1 1/4" deep, measurement includes stopper. Holder is brushed goldtone, ... more2 3/4" across the top edge diameter, with 3 small pounded feet. Set 2: Smaller of the two sets. Has also three sectioned bottles rounded to fit into a cream colored celluloid holder. Each bottle has a lovely neck to it, has a ball topped stopper. Each stopper does not have a stem(appears to have been sanded off on all three stems) just goes to the top edge of the sanded rim of the bottle. No chips or damage at all to any of the stoppers or the bottles. They all sit in a cream celluloid holder. Each bottle is 1 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" tall(including stopper with ball) x 7/8" deep. Celluloid holder is 1 3/4" tall and 2" in diameter across the top edge diameter, flat bottom so it holders all or any one of the bottles upright. I washed the old perfume out of these bottles so if the pictures show liquid inside. It is water which may take days to dry out. A wonderful estate find. The locket opens at the top and was originally used for solid perfume. This doesn't have perfume left in it. It is spring loaded so it snaps tightly shut. There is no chain. Only the pendant. Antique Perfume Bottle with large glass stopper, 8-1/4 inches tall
Thank you for viewing my auctions. Offered to you is a Antique perfume bottle with round shaped shopper. The Stopper is 3-1/4 inches round with glass plug that is an additional 1/2 inch. The round portion is ornate with a pressed glass design that has bubbles inside of it. It is of about 1/4 inch thickness of glass that was created by taking a plain piece and fusing it to an ornate piece with the design when created. This creates a seam around the center of the outside of the glass but the design is seen through the it. One side smooth and the other the actual art work. The area that slides into the bottle( I call the plug) is solid glass and the very top of this piece as well as the bottom have spider bite type chipping that could be sanded by a professional. These are not deep gouges but exist around it. The Bottle portion is a thick heavy ... moreglass that is seamed on the side and fused together in its creation. It has lovely design with scalloped foot. There are no chips on this piece but if you stick your finger down the bottle you will feel the spider bites at the lower area of where the plug rests.This could be in the making of it or created through aging. It is not noticeable to the outside. The stopper and the bottles fit very well together and it is not top heavy, they are an excellent marriage. Thank you once again for choosing my auction. Up for auction is this great antique heavy sterling silver overlay glass perfume bottle. This glass bottle has a great swirl design with the original matching swirl ball sphere stopper top. The bottom of the stopper that goes in the bottle is broken on the end and could be ground smooth. The bottom is hallmarked with STERLING only. No makers mark or numbers. The condition of the bottle and the sterling is good with no wear to the sterling overlay on copper and glass. The inside of the neck has a tiny chip and again the bottom of the stopper is cracked off. This bottle measures 6 and 1/2 inches tall and is about 4 inches wide. The outside glass is a nice ruby red with a lighter color up at the top and gradually getting darker toward the end. There is silvered mercury glass on the interior. The domed sterling lid is a flip-top(needing slight pressure to close firmly) With a fitted ground glass stopper. Of you look closely. You can see the line where the upper and lower halves are joined. The bottom of the sterling neck is fully hallmarked. Estate sale find. In good vintage condition.Measures about 4 1/2" tall. I was told this was Sterling Silver. I can not find any markings. There is a 98 etched on the bottom of the stopper. I see a tiny flea bite on the stopper base when held in light. I did not feel it. There is 1906 and flowers in the design. It looks like maybe a monogram? The amphora-shaped green glass bottle hangs from chains that appear to be hand-formed, with a ring attached. The exquisite bottle measures 2 3/4 inches long cap to point, and the chains and ring add another 1 1/2 inches. The curved-bottom glass is a wonderful clear spring green, with some dust and spots, but no cracks, splits, dings, chips or damage of any kind. Antique Victorian Ruby Glass Cut to Clear Perfume Scent Bottle with Silver Lid
Lovely antique. Circa 1880, ruby cut to clear perfume bottle with hinged ornate repousse silver lid. It is not hallmarked, but has been tested as silver. Original undamaged glass stopper. One small vertical chip to the side of the bottle. See picture. Otherwise just minor fleabites. The lid has no dents and closes tightly. The hinge is in good working order. Stuck on the rim of the silver mount. Is a small dark and hard lump, see picture. Seems difficult to remove without risking damage. The pictures were taken both in daylight and incandescent light. The bottles measure almost seven inches to the top of the stopper.There is a delicious residue of perfume left in the bottom of the bottles.The condition is excellent. There is one tiny chip in one of the stoppers.I have looked for an identifying mark on them but cannot find one.The vanity bottles have been in my home for as long as I can remember.The bottles belonged to my grandmother.I'm guessing they are from the 30's but they were displayed on her 1890's dresser with a marble top for a very long time.

Antique Chatelaine Miniature Perfume Bottle Compact Lapis Lazuli Silver (#3703)
Antique Silver Lapis Lazuli Chatelaine Perfume Bottle Pincushion Compact. Made 19C. From the prestigious estate of Mrs Mary Timmins. Well-known collector and authority on antiques, who lectured on the subject in the 1940's, this was one of the pieces she used in her talk on Women in Colonial Days. The chatelaine is something of a tour de force: it includes wonderful silver and vermeil pierced openwork. Studded with lapis lazuli; a gilt silver figural walnut holding inside it a pincushion that combines as a perfume bottle and a tiny mirror and swan down powder puff. It was supposedly made in France(according to the estate of Mrs Timmins) and is certainly at least 100 years old. Total length is about 6 3/4 inches. The chatelaine can be hung from a belt by the typical long hook. Hinged to the decorative front for ease of opening or closing. ... moreOn either side it has a loop, so presumably, it could be hung from a chain as well. The hook is hidden behind a star or flower shaped silver and gold pierced openwork jewel. It is studded with cabochon lapis lazuli, which gives it a definate Art and Crafts appearance. Scrolls and stars combine with foliage. A pair of chains comprised of similar openwork in gold and silver studded with lapis hang are suspended from the flower jewel. In turn, they hold links which suspend a wonderfully modelled vermeil walnut. Hinged at the back, it has a little button in front for opening it. walnut is approx 1 3/4 inches in length. Opening the walnut reveals a gilt tube with purple felt on top. This contains a tiny perfume bottle. The other side of the walnut appears to have lost a glass cover. WHen the metal frame is lifted, it reveals a small convex mirror and when that is removed there is a wonderful swan down powder puff in wonderful condition as it has been hidden and protected in the walnut for so many years. I cant be sure how much gold is there I didnt test it I didnt want to ruin these wonderful earrings. The bottom little handle screws out its marked sterling also. There is a fiber inside you drip some perfume into the fibers screw the bottom back on. On the top of the earrings looks like a gold topper to a Christmas bulb the are tiny holes there to let the perfume smell out. I couldn't bring myself to clean these in fear of damaging them. Antique Blown Glass Figural Reindeer Narcisse Perfume Bottle Xmas Ornament + Box
Offered here for your bidding evaluation is this antique figural reindeer Narcisse perfume bottle in its original box! Standing 31/2" tall. The delicate glass deer has antlers, ears and a muzzle painted in gold, with black eyes. The original cork stopper still remains in place. An embossed Narcisse paper label can be seen on the back of the creature. Traces of the perfume can be seen inside. Hard to believe that this fragile little hand blown beauty is still fully intact and without any breaks! The old cardboard box that is original to the bottle must have done its job protecting it. The box is stained, bent, and has splits started, and the tissue paper has holes and has darkened with age. As to the deer, the glass is perfect but there is wear to the gold paint around the muzzle, and only one black painted eye. I have seen several of ... morethese bottles holding various kinds of perfume. These may have been offered around the holiday time, and likely the empty bottle could be saved and used as a Christmas decoration long after the contents were gone.
