I am selling in this auction a old glass perfume bottle with a intricate silver overlay and a long spout. Overlay is probably silverplate. This may also be a old barber bottle. I have seen similar bottles listed both ways. The spout screws into the glass. It is 8 1/2" tall. It is in very nice condition. The overlay is complete and solid. No chips in the glass. My wife picked it up 20 years ago when she went to Hong Kong for vacation. They told her it was old but who knows. I do know it is at least 20 years old: It is triangular in shape and it looks like a hand painted bottle inside glass. My wife was told the top is Jade. It is approximately 4 inches tall. I inherited this perfume bottle. I believe it is 50 years old or older- however I am not sure. I have had it 15 years and my aunt was 85 when she gave it to me. I examined it closely and cannot find a flaw. It measures 6 inches high X 2 1/2 inches wide. It has 4 areas with different hand paintings which are in the photos. Gold paint is on the top and feet. This tiny beautiful bottle is very old and very charming. It is Czech cut glass featuring 2 distinct patterns: a waffle-type cut and leaf design; a gold colored(somewhat tarnished) top with an amber stone. No attempt has been made to clean the bottle either inside or outside so as not to ruin its antique value. It did once contain perfume. The fragrance of which is still detectible, and the residue in the bottle is evident. The applicator/dauber is intact. It has a symbol ornament of a crescent on both sides so I can assume that it was made in the Middle East or North Africa. Measures 5.5 cm(2.17" tall with the pin dipper/stopper. 3.4 cm(1.34" wide and 2.5 cm(0.98" thick. Condition: The outside is showing wear and some damage near the top. An original antique 19th century Bohemian glass cut double overlay glass perfume or cologne bottle which stands approximately 6 1/4" tall. The bottle has a thin outer layer of light green glass cut through to an opaque white glass layer which in turn is cut through to the clear glass body. The panels are decorated with white enamel which was then gilted as well as having some thin gilt lines around all of the cut work etc. The item is in very nice all original undamaged condition with only some wear to the gilt from normal use. This cologne/ perfume bottle is completely fresh to the market from the estate of an old time collector. Here's another old or antique bottle with an interesting embossed marking from the small collection we've been listing from for several weeks now. This is probably from the very late 1800's to early 1900's and has the embossed logo and markings"Roger& Gallet" and"Paris" So this seems to be a perfume or similar ladies product of the period. The bottle is in nice condition with no chips or cracks to note. It is somewhat coffin shaped or graduated in shape being a little wider and a little thicker at the shoulder area than at the base. It stands about 5.75 inches tall and is about 2 inches by 1.5 inch in dimension at the widest points in the shoulder area. Nice. That's about it. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN UNUSUAL PINK RIBBON CASED GLASS PERFUME-SWIRL,INDENT FLOWER
I love antique glass and have rescued many pieces throughout my life- even damaged. Today I'm selling what I called my"shelf of shames" all 5 pieces listed today have damage but all looked gorgeous on the shelf- a few well-placed flower arrangements and no one could tell! All of these pieces(except maybe the perfume) are American Victorian glass- valued in excellent condition in the $100's. According to some books I have. This gorgeous and unique perfume measures 4" tall(to top of handles) 3¼" wide and 2" deep. The unusual body has shades of pink swirls cased over white glass with impressed Daisy-type flowers on each side, diagonal ribs and clear applied handles. The bottom edge has been polished. As the photos show, the obvious(and only) damage is the top- basically gone so the stopper does not sit up ... morestraight. This beauty looks stunning despite its flaws! It is in very good condition. The gold connectors that hold the hose and bulb to the bottle look like brass but I scratched the surface and it has a beautiful gold bright shiny gold underneath. I did not take off much because I did not want to ruin it. This item has no markings that I could find but the lady this belonged to traveled to Europe.
