The outside has an embossed leaf pattern and the neck is fitted with a tin collar into which fits a taper-type candle. Each measures 4" high and 3 1/8" across. L ovely antique Victorian hand-blown. Mercury glass bottle or decanter stopper, the mushroom shape is very decorative I have been told it is from the 1870s-1890s? The stoppers are sealed; the silvering is in excellent condition. One stopper has some chips around the bottom edge and very minor scratch on top. It measures about 3 inches tall. The top is about 2 1/2 inches in diameter. The stopper portion is about 1 3/4 inches in diameter 2 3/4 tall. Please look carefully at all photos this is sold as is no returns.

RARE ANTIQUE VICTORIAN HDMD BLOWN MERCURY GLASS PEARLESCENT BEADED TRIM 3"x1.75
This auction is for a very rare antique Victorian embellishment/trim/buckle? and is most definitely a quite interesting piece. It consists of hand-blown mercury glass beads in patinated silver and green. The silver beads have texture and oddly shaped(3/16" and the green are round(1/8" There are opalescent white beads of different shapes and size(about 1/8" and its center has 3/4" oval-shaped glass beads in an iridescent-like seafoam green shade. It has a 7/16" round pale pearlescent pink ball in the center. All beads are glass and all appear to have been hand-blown. They are all attached by thread and the underside is a silk/cotton blend in black. The entire piece is lightweight. Weighing about 1.2 ounces. As one can see from photos, there are some missing beads on the outer edges and some of the silvery beads may ... morehave chips. In any case, even with these minor flaws, it is in wonderful condition and certainly a must for the artisan. I have never seen anything like it before. It actually has a lot of dust on it when looking at the silver beading throughout. It measures approximately 3" x 1 3/4" measurement taken on base only)otherwise, it is about 3 1/4" x 2. It is about 3/8" in thickness. This is not including the pink glass ball. Some of the silver glass beads are brighter than others. None of these flaws detract from this truly interesting piece. It is being sold"As Is" Please note: I am not sure as to what the base is made out of;it is not wood or metal.I don't want to try to bend it for fear of breaking the beads. It may have possibly been a shoe buckle? It is most definitely old. This must be handled with care. Since mercury glass is delicate and it will break. This has held up amazingly well. There are beautiful smooth cut windows in the satin glass finish to allow you to see the silver mercury interior. The perfume horn starts out in a deep blue at the top and gradually fades to clear. There are delicate pink& white floral paintings with golden vines that wrap around the bottle from top down to the tip. These enamels are in very excellent condition with no noticeable loss. Pair of gorgeous Mercury Glass curtain tie-backs with embossed flower design. These tiebacks catch the light beautifully and gleam from across the room. Great antique lightning rod weathervane with a silver mercury ball. This piece is in overall good antique condition. With a nice patina to it. Some signs of wear from usage and age, so please look closely at the pictures. The total height of the whole piece is 59" The finial measures 9 5/8" in total length, the exposed portion is 8 1/4" With the finial off, the rod itself is about 51" The twisted steel stand measures 39 3/4" high. The silver mercury ball measures 5 1/4" through the center hole, the inside of the opening is 1" and the outside of the brass cap is 1 3/8" The ball is approximately 5" wide. Probably ca 1850 maker unknown. There are no markings. This rare and wonderful mercury glass butler's ball. Would have been set on a buffet and used by servants to observe guests without being obtrusive, so they could look in the reflection to see when their services would be needed. Antique Store Display -Large Mercury Glass Apothecary Jar- Rare, Perhaps Unique!
Offered is this very large apothecary jar. 15 1/4 inches tall to top of lid. 6 1/2 inches wide at base; about 4 3/4 inches in the other d imen sion. I am guessing this was part of a store display at a drugst ore around the turn of the century. The m e rcury coating(silvering) was applied inside the jar and then painted over with a red paint. This piece is in fabul ous vintage condition. The glass b ottle is without cracks or chips. Though has a few ai r bubbles in the glass from early manufacturing processes. The lid was ground on the outside to fit perfectly in the round opening. There is a little roughness on the inside edge of the lid and a few chips on the in side of th at lid edge. But overall, is also in wonderful vintage condition. The inside surface has been scratched th rough in many places on the bottle tho ugh these marks really ... moreadd to the antiqueness of the piece. The lid has no scratches in the silvering. Though some speckles from oxidation of the metal as seen also in the bottle. It was difficult to photograph because of its reflectivity. But please examine photos to complete the description. The red in the photos is a reflection. Not the inside paint showing through. The surface is silvery all over with freckles all over and several scratches as previous ly mention ed. SET of TWO Circa 1800's ANTIQUE MERCURY GLASS Victorian SNOWFLAKE CURTAIN TIEBACKS Pair of original c1800's Mercury Glass curtain tie-backs. With embossed snowflake design. Each tieback measures approx: 4 1/2" diameter and 4 1/2" tall- not including screw Because of the glare& reflections. I had a difficult time photographing the tiebacks- Please read descriptions and check out the pictures before bidding- There is spotting and a cloudiness(oxidation) to the Mercury finish on one of the tiebacks. The other tieback has interior flaking. These tie backs have issues which are reflected in the opening bid price. But they still display beautifully with no nicks. This handblown antique mercury glass bowl rests on three feet. There are no chips and only some minor mercury loss as shown. It's rather large measuring 9" x 4" I have collected mercury glass for a lifetime and have never ever seen a fruit bowl before nevermind one as large as this one.

We present to you for your consideration this Antique(1850-1870) American Mercury Glass Goblet with Acid-Vaper Matting Decoration and the Goblet's Original Pontil Metal Disc with Glass Seal! We've collected Antique Mercury Glass for many years and to make room we've decided to start clearing some of our cupboards. We purchased this Beautiful Goblet several years ago from a local estate auction where most of the items were of EAPG origin but among these items were a few exquisite examples of Double Walled Mercury Glass. I feel that this piece is American in manufacture because of it's weight. Stem width and Acid-Vaper Matting. Also, the interior was left in the silver as opposed to the Bohemian pieces which had, generally, gold wash interiors. Antique Vintage Space Age Blown Mercury Glass Bottle Sculpture Light Bulb Tip
This is a large vintage hand blown space age mercury glass bottle. It is shaped a little like a light bulb or orb. It has a blown glass tip like an antique light bulb. The body is round with no flat surface. It has an opening on the bottom as shown that is flat. I think this may be some type of science or apothecary storage jar. It looks like an atomic age sculpture. It is 11 inches tall and 16 1/2 inches around. It is signed as shown.Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.I find three small spots of of darkening on glass I think this was done when it was blown. Glass is bright silver and beautiful. This auction is for a Antique Glass& brass door knob lot. Some have brass rails, a few different styles. They have mecury glass centers. There is a lot of lock face plates as well. A few do have some flea bite nicks in them. These will need to be cleaned up. The brass does have some paint residue on it. One or two of the knobs have a white metal versus brass.Thank you.
