$30.00 Shipping Location: Elmira, United States I have up for sale an absolutely gorgeous vintage original circa 1880s 1890s Enameled Art Glass Ruffled Rim Brides Basket with Wilcox Quadruple Silver-Plate ... moreholder frame. The glass bowl is one of the nicest that I have seen. It has fabulous Enamel Decorations, of leaves and floral detailing. It measures approx 12-1/2" diameter. It is in Excellent Condition- I would call it perfect albeit a most minor flat spot on the rim that appears to be a manufacturing nuance, not damage. I have looked at this with a magnifying glass and it is obvious after observing this first hand that it is not a chip but a flat spot somehow done during manufacture. Although extremely difficult to view, I have a pic of the area shown in my last pic. The frame is in Excellent Condition. Made of Quadruple Silver Plate by the Wilcox Silver-Plate Co. It stands approx 10-3/4" tall and approx 12-3/4" across. Both the decorated bowl and the Silver-Plate frame are gorgeous. The item comes direct from the collection of an area advance collector. Sold to me when settling her estate. The underside of the bowl bears a sticker that either she attached or was the sale price back in the day. The glass bowl will be packaged and shipped in a separate parcel from the silver plate frame in order to assure as best one can safe delivery. This set stands 14" in height and has a turntable so that the bottles rotate. The silver plated stand is marked on the underside but very faintly. Almost gone with age. It reads: AURORA MFG. CO. 416 Warranted Triple Plated. The handle has some very nice floral work and the skirt is etched with flowers and vines. The four glass bottles are salt- pepper- vinegar or oil and mustard. The salt and pepper are the same height(about 8" Have the same caps however their shapes are different, the pepper having straight sides and the salt rounded. They both have floral designs but different kinds of vines so I'm not sure if they came together. No cracks or chips but ... morethe pepper jar is cloudy. The third jar is an oil or vinegar and is missing the stopper. No chips or cracks. The fourth jar is I think a mustard with a hinged silver plate lid. No chips or cracks either but again a different vine design. So. All the glass is free of chips or cracks but the vine designs vary so they may not have come together. The plate itself is free of chips and cracks. The gold leaf and the hand painted rose have slight age disintegration. The plate is inscribed From Toronto 1906, so I would have to say for its age it is magnificant. As with any old milk glass there are marks and lines in the glass, these are part of the manufacturing process, mold marks. There is no makers mark, I am assuming very old Westmoreland Glass. Etched and Cut Glass and Silver Plate Condiment with turntable set from my mother's estate sale. Includes two oil/vinegar flasks. Two salt/pepper shakers and one large mouthed container with the top missing. Also one of the flasks has a broken stopper, with the broken off part inside the flask neck, and one of the shakers has some tape, apparently because a bit of the glass is worn off, making the top loose. I believe that all of these defects can be clearly seen in the photographs. If you need a closer look, I can add another close up photo of the item of interest. The silver looks more or less OK to me, but I haven't tried to polish it. Some cream colored deposits in the cracks which I take to be old silver polish. This milk glass"rabbit and horseshoe" child's plate comes from a huge milk glass collection amassed by my in-laws in the mid-1900s. I'm confident this is an original and not a reproduction because of two things: the lovely color that shows through on the edges when held up to the light. And because of its size. It is 7 1/2" in diameter at its biggest, the size of the original ones. According to my milk glass book by E.M. Belknap, the reproductions were made in 7" and 8 1/2" It is marked with the Westmoreland logo on the back, as shown in photo 4. The bottom half has the horseshoe and shamrock border. For auction is an antique Victorian Early American Pressed Glass(EAPG) butter under plate by the Consolidated Lamp and Glass Company in the“Cosmos” or“Stemless Daisy” pattern. The pattern features blue. Yellow and pink daisies all around the milk glass base. The plate is in good condition with no chips. Cracks or breaks. There is a"swirl" in the bottom of the plate that appears to be a manufactured flaw. It measures about 8 ¼” across and the groove for the lid(not included) is about 5 ¼” across. Here is a wonderful mid 1800s lacy period. Flint glass cup plate manufactured by Boston and Sandwich. The cup plate is credited to Boston and Sandwich because of fragments found at the glass manufacturing site. This cup plate can be found in the book"American Glass" by Geo. P and Helen McKearnin, copyright 1948, plate 187, text pages 371-377. According to the McKearnins, this cup plate was one of 100 best cup plates featured in"The Magazine Antiques" October 1937. This cup plate is referred to a"Stippled Heart and 8 Pointed Geometric Motif Variant" The cup plate measures 3 1/2 inches in diameter and is in very nice condition with no large chips or cracks, though there is some roughess to the outer rim(see photos) Because this plate is made of flint glass, it has a wonderful resonant sound when tapped. EAPG Antique Sandwich Glass Cup Plate 465-J Opalescent This a lovely example of an early opalescent Sandwich glass cup plate from the mid 1800s. It is part of the Heart Group and has a 13 heart border rim and 48 scallops and is listed as No. 465-J in the Ruth Webb Lee book on early cup plates. It has a 3 1/2" diameter and has lovely coloring. Two scallops are missing and another 2 have roughage at the tips. The prominent one is pictured magnified. This opalescent coloring is listed as Scarce in the Rose/ Lee Book on page 280.
