Antique hand painted cranberry glass water pitcher with a raised thumbprint pattern has a ruffled top rim and a clear ribbed applied handle. It is 7 1/2 inches tall x 7 1/2 wide with a ground glass bottom. Hand painted enameling has a variation of the lily-of-the-valley and forget-me-nots with 2 toned green spiked leaves and 22k gold accents. There is a very tiny speck of a flick on the rim. Hardly worth mentioning and a second flick 1/4 inch to the left of the handle. Pitcher is surely worth salvaging at a low starting bid.

In another auction I have a set of twelve Amethyst water or ice tea goblets that came from the same estate. I was told that these were purchased from an estate auction in the 40's and were presented as early antique blown art glass. The pithcer is in perfect condition with swirls and small bubbles present in the glass. One of the bubbles on the body was not polished finely and you can feel the circumference roughness but this is a minor flaw. It was blown in to a 2 part mold and the pontil is off center but is polished smoothly. The lid is also in perfect condition with no scratches or chips and fits nicely in the lip of the pitcher. A very rare find in an early pitcher with lid. It measures 9 1/2 inches ... moreto the top with the lid and 7 3/4 inches to the top without the lid. It is 4 1/2 inches wide at the mouth and has a lovely and sturdy applied glass handle. An estate piece. This is a wonderful Blown glass cream or milk pitcher with a sharp/broken pontil on the base. Handle is applied separately. The gold gilt is faded/worn. Has enameled grapes. The design has almost a lattice or diamond pattern and is slightly swirled. It has NO CHIPS OR CRACKS. There is a small"dent" on the base of the handle, but I do not believe it is a chip, but merely where the handle was blown and pressed onto the piece. Has some minor roughness to the top rim, but this was done during the making process where it was blown and are not flakes. I tried to find a comparable piece, but could find nothing online. Up for sale is an antique salad dressings/ oil small pitcher made in Germany by WMF. The German WMF metalware company was founded in 1853 by Daniel Straub and the Schweizer Brothers. The company specializes in designer home utensils and metalware. Revered for its high quality and aesthetics. The pitcher for sale is made in the early 1920s in the Art Nouveau( Jugendstil) traditions. The glass crystal is clear and handworked with elegant design. The cap is round with diamong-like cut. All handmade. There is wearing on the glass. A small dent near the bottom and a flake-dent at the bottom-base edge. There are dents at the edges of the cut pattern on the cap as well. ANTIQUE LG LEMONADE PITCHER & 6 MATCHING GLASS SET~HAND BLOWN AND PAINTED~
This is a beautiful Victorian Antique Blown Glass and Hand Painted. Lemonade/Ice Tea, Large Pitcher and 6 matching glass Set. The tall glass pitcher is 13 1/2" tall, with a 4" opening at the top, and 5" across the bottom. It has a tall slender body, fanning out at the bottom. The air bubble are visible in it hand blown applied handle, which sets up high at the top of the mouth opening. It has a curvaceous pour spout, with heavy glass thickness to the piece. The glass is velvety smooth to the touch, and has a smooth pontil at the bottom. The center of the pitcher has a decorative band of bright gold design, accented in white dots. The thin line banding of gold carries on downward to the bottom of the piece, with the white accent dots. The glasses are a sleek design, which flare out slightly at the top, tapering inward, and flaring ... moreever so slightly back at the bottom. They are 6 1/2" tall with a 2 3/4" opening at the top, and 2" across the bottom. They have the matching design as the pitcher, with the thick gold band, and the thin lines all accented in white dots. Remarkably these pieces are free of chips, cracks and repairs. The only sign of age was the wearing on some of the gold banding in some areas more than others, due to age and wear. Antique Ribbed Swirled Glass Pitcher with Metal Top Bottom Pontil Mark This is an attractive vintage/antique pitcher. The glass is ribbed and swirled. I do not know the age or maker. There are no maker's marks that I could find. There is a polished pontil mark on the bottom. The pitcher is about 10 1/2" tall. The pitcher has lost most of its silverplate and has some spots on the metal. There is just a little calcium deposit in the inside of the pitcher-it's hard to notice because of the swirled pattern on the glass. If you look at the photo of the bottom. Offered is a wonderful silver plated English Claret Jug/Pitcher/Decanter w/Antique glass art nouveau and a flip up lid. This antique is in very good antique condition- there is one small chip on the bottom row where the lid screws on but is not detectable. Also a crack within the glass on the under rim- you can't feel it when you rub your fingers over it or don't see it when the lid is on. The beautiful antique glass is diamond cut-smaller to larger as you go down the Ewer which reflects the light dramatically. Measurements are 14" top of finial to bottom and 7" handle to spout with a 6" base. No maker marks. A fantastic antique to add to your collection.
