Lot of 14 Antique Glass Household Bottles/Jars - 100 Years old or More!
This auction is for a Lot of 14 Antique Glass Household Bottles and Jars that were used around 1850 to right before 1920. With all having some pretty bubbles. They make a great display or can be used for crafts. They measure2 1/2" to 5 1/2" tall and have have very thick and wavy glass. They have been soaked over night and gently washed to check for cracks. And will come cleaner with soapy water and some small brushes. These bottles were dug. reclaimed! so may contain some minor scratches, chips, dirt, and cloudiness, which can be treated with baby oil, thin coat, inside and out. This process moisturizes the bottles and leaves a nice shine. Any leftover rust can be removed with very cheap toilet bowl cleaner. I am trying a new packaging process using recycled paper. Etc. but promise to ship safely. Trying to avoid using plastic bubble ... morewrap and trying to keep shipping charges lower, depending on the sizes of bottles. This auction is for a Lot of 10 Antique Glass Household Bottles and Jars that were used around 1850 to right before 1920. With all having some pretty bubbles. They make a great display or can be used for crafts. They measure 5 1/4" to 7 1/2" tall and have have very thick and wavy glass. They have been soaked over night and gently washed to check for cracks. And will come cleaner with soapy water and some small brushes. These bottles were dug. reclaimed! so may contain some minor scratches, chips, dirt, and cloudiness, which can be treated with baby oil, thin coat, inside and out. This process moisturizes the bottles and leaves a nice shine. Any leftover rust can be removed with very cheap toilet bowl cleaner. I am trying a new packaging process using recycled paper. Lot of 6 Antique Glass Household Bottles/Jars - 100 Years old - Embossed
This auction is for a Lot of 6 Antique Glass Household Bottles and Jars that were used around 1850 to right before 1920. These include BROMO SELTZER. MELLIN'S FOOD CO. with a FREE SAMPLE jar, CLICQUOT-CLUB, and 2 GRAVES AND EVANS- BATTLE CREEK, MICH. With all having some pretty bubbles, they make a great display or can be used for crafts. They measure from 3" to 10" tall and have have very thick and wavy glass. They have been soaked over night and gently washed to check for cracks. And will come cleaner with soapy water and some small brushes. These bottles were dug. reclaimed! so may contain some minor scratches, chips, dirt, and cloudiness, which can be treated with baby oil, thin coat, inside and out. This process moisturizes the bottles and leaves a nice shine. Any leftover rust can be removed with very cheap toilet bowl ... morecleaner. I am trying a new packaging process using recycled paper. Etc. but promise to ship safely. Trying to avoid using plastic bubble wrap and trying to keep shipping charges lower, depending on the sizes of bottles. Stands 5-1/8 inches tall. Weighs 3lbs 9.53oz for the pair. They are sold as a pair only. Up for your kind consideration is this wonderful piece of cut glass. I know of no completely objective way to describe the condition of cut glass. The phrase"mint" is often the word used by sellers and there are rarely any examples of cut glass that fall into this category. To avoid any form of disappointment. I offer a liberal returns policy. Examination is the only method of meeting your personal expectations and in that light, it reduces the need to pull out a microscope, which I cannot do. Glass collectors have individual opinions and criterion for acquiring glass for an individual collection. Almost all old glass shows signs of usage. Newman's book. An Illustrated Dictionary of Glass, does not include the word"mint" and neither ... morecan"mint" be found in any of the books in my reference library. In my opinion, the word"mint" should be a term that is never used by glass collectors. Expecting a mint piece in glassware that is true antique and over 100 years old isn't realistic. Therefore. It is not a suitable term for collectible glassware. All previously owned examples of glassware will take on imperfections that were evident at the very moment that it was sold as new and hand made glassware will always have imperfections in the glass such as small seeds or blisters, even bubbles. A common-sense approach to grading condition is to trust the seller and be kind. I would only buy from sellers with a returns policy. The main feature of any piece of glass is the fine work and engraving. Do not discard a piece for reasons of imperfection. Truly antique glass is harder and harder to find over time. While the price of cut glass dropped in years past. The original Baby Boomer collectors have been moving aside for the Millennials, who are now acquiring these treasures along side of tube-radios and vinyl records. 2 Antique apothacary glass jars bottles by A.S. Minds. Portland Maine. Used with expected wear. but no chips or cracks. One has a screw-type top(no top with it) the other has a smooth top for a cork plug(no top with it) this one also has a purple tint while the screw-top bottle is clear. The bottles were produced by same company but at different times. The purple tint bottle has more ornate and fancy lettering on the bottle while the other is much simpler. Both have the same logo- 3 letters overlapping- A. S and M. I'm pretty sure it's an'M' These will make a nice addition to your collection.

Set of 4 Antique Dakota Glass Small Apothecary Jars Pill Jars Well. I am back from a monster shopping trip to the World’s Longest Yard Sale– we shop Ohio every year and then stop at some of my favorite spots in Indiana to buy from. Spent 2 whole days taking photos and still not done– I have a LOT and I’ll be listing for weeks. There’s something for everyone- primitive antiques, ephemera, military, railroad, industrial, farm finds– you name it, I have it and it’s all unique– you’ll want to keep checking, as I will list every day. Enjoy! Here is a really nice matching set of old apothecary jars. They were marked as Dakota glass. And I'll tell you I know nothing about glass, so please look at the photos and see what you think. I can tell you that they have a raised rounded rib pattern along the top rim of the knob at the top of the jar- ... morenot inset like a thumbprint as I'm used to seeing, they are in relief. Each jar measures 2" square, is 1 3/8" diameter across the mouth measuring on the inside of the walls, and stands 3 1/2" tall to the top of the lid. Each one weighs 1/4 lb. They are clear glass, filled with anomolies original to the making- bubbles, burps and bumps, not damage, all original. The inside of the mouth of the jars, as well as the outside of the lid that fits into the mouths are frosted glass. They are in amazing condition. I cannot find a nick, chip, a crack- nothing. I looked and felt- and it tricks you, because you'll think you see an edge nick on the inside, and rub your finger around only to discover it's actually a bubble under the glass, or a bump on the glass. The jars are overall clean inside(no residue that I see on the inside) and out, but do need a good bath. They show lots of dust, and one of the jars has a palpable dried carmel colored dirt/grime on the outside of the glass- see photo 13, and some teenie pieces of loose something on the inside of the jar that can come out. These are 2 pint size Ball Ideal canning jars. They are a beautiful aqua blue color. The first jar has Ball IDEAL on the front and PATD JULY 14 1908. It is marked on the bottom with the number Five. This jar has no cracks or chips. The second jar has Ball IDEAL on the front and PATD JULY 14 1908. It is marked on the bottom with the number seven. This jar has no cracks or chips. The wire latches show some wear and they both have clear lids not aqua. These jars are in great condition for their age as seen in the photos. Antique Hoosier Glass Jars/Aluminum Lids
This is a set of two glass jars(I believe. Called Hoosier jars) They both have aluminum tops and stand 4 inches tall. The only identification type mark on the bottom looks like a raised circle. Beautiful quality for an antique and the collector. The little vase has a J on the bottom. Unknown information on this vase. It does have little fleck chips on it.

Both are pressed glass with bronze covers. They are in excellent condition. there is some tarnish to the covers and they could stand to be cleaned up a bit, but no damage and the glass is free of chips or cracks. They each stand 4 ¼” tall at the tallest point of the decorative lids, and 4 ¼” in diameter at the widest point. I ship most of my items. Except for books, Priority Mail. Sooo Pretty and Victorian Looking! ANTIQUE CONSOLIDATED GLASS CONDIMENT CARRIER Made in the mid 1890's- Includes the salt, pepper shakers and the mustard jar with lids. Excellent if not Mint Condition for being over 115 years of age. Please see pictures and description below. Approximate Measurements 5 1/3" Diameter- 2" height(body) with carrier wire 5" Total 7" Shakers 1 1/4" Diameter 2" height This stunning antique condiment set was made by Considated Lamp and Glass Company of Coraopolis. PA. The bulging pink petal was made by pink cast glass with clear crystal glass over to give that pink opulence glow. The base has three ring sections. Which holds the shakers and jar. There is no serving spoon for the mustard. There is a slight color variation on the mustard jar- looks likghter than the other two.maybe ... morethis was done on purpose. The handle looks to be original nickel plated. The lids- you decide, they seem to be original, if so they are in excellent shape. The only things that I could find was a minute roughness on the lids of two shakers. and couple places on the bottom. As you can see the layers of glass. Also.
