This honey pot is old and not a reproduction. The bee is very good quality. Made of brass under the silverplate. The glass honey pot unscrews from the body and it is plastered into a threaded silverplate piece. This bee shaped honey pot is fresh to the market from a fine local estate. Signature: unsigned. Numbered 156 on bottom and on the silverplate end cap on the glass body. Age: circa 1920's Condition: Very good condition. There is minor wear to the silverplate on the back of the body. The face, high points of the legs, and the hinge, and there is a 3/4" wear line near the tip of the wings. There is also wear with brass showing through on the bottoms of the feet. There is a very slight bend to the wings near the hinge and there are minor scratches from use on the silverplate. The silverplate could be polished if desired. There is one tiny bruise on the left side of the glass body which looks like a small air bubble and can bee seen with a loupe. There is no spoon. Antique Smithsonian Museum Specimen Jar Approximate Height(inches) To Top: 4 To Lip: 3 To Shoulder: 2 Approximate Diameter(inches) At Base: 2.5. Glass Lid does not fit perfectly. I recently acquired a large collection of these jars ranging from 3-6” tall and from 1.5-3.5” in diameter. All the jars are unmarked but originally came from the Smithsonian Museum in DC and were most likely made in the early 1900’s. They are all hand blown glass and many have little glass hooks on the underside of the block top glass lids allowing specimen to be hung inside the jars. THis is a lot of 4 beautiful and very different glass jars with interesting lids. The first one is 7.5 inches high and 3.25 inches in diameter. It has mold lines going down the sides and a small round shape pressed into the top of the curved part of the bottle. The stopper is solid and is faceted with an etched part that fits into the bottle. It is in perfect condition. The second one is 6 inches high. 2 inches at the foot, and 3 inches at the widest part. This piece is blown. The stopper is solid and etched as is the inside of the neck. It is in perfect condition. The third one is 5 inches high, 2.5 inches at the foot and 3.5 inches at the widest part. The stopper is hollow and also blown. There is an etched part where it fits into the neck. We have here a Vintage Pair of Square Glass Apothecary Jars Store Display Candy Wedding Jars. They are matching. Four sided with the same daisy flower and bubble lid. One is 8" tall. The other just over 7 3/4" tall. The height difference is in the neck of the jar. They are 4 15/16" wide square jars with a two mold body and three panel mold lid. The inside of the jars are hand ground. Both are just a little rough to the touch. One lid has moderate chips on the inside lip of the lid. The other lid is only lightly rough to the touch on the outside edge. You can see the age in these pieces with the air bubbles and straw marks! A rare find from France ~ a pair of antique French apothecary(pharmacy) bottles with original glass stoppers. Label is enamel with black lettering highlighted in gold. Some loss of the enamel labels due to age and use. As should be expected. Each glass stopper has a tiny chip due to use. Anicae(also known as Wolfsbane) was a homeopathic remedy for most anything; extract was from the flower that grows wild all over Europe. We are not certain what the other bottle contained. Each glass bottle measures 8.25 inches tall with stopper in place. Bottle is 3 inches sq. Small bubbles can be seen in the glass; clean with no chips or cracks. Will be shipped within the USA only. Featuring hand blown cloche style jars with a dome shape, the shorter is ground around the bottom edge, with a polished collar- the other is ground around the narrow port- I think these are flint glass- they display waviness, cased bubbles, and straw marks- the taller has a tiny nip off the top edge- they are both very heavy and sturdy. Antique Glass Dresser Jars with Silver Overlay Engraved Monogram on Top
Up for auction is a set of Dresser Jars with silver flowered overlay and both are monogrammed on the top of the stopper. One Jar stands 5" high and the other is 5 1/8" high. There is a small chip on one stopper and a very small piece of silver missing from the shoulder of the other bottle. Barely noticeable. One monogram reads MGJ and the other reads JGE. Other than the impurfections listed above, these jars are absolutely beautiful and would make just the right addition to anyones dresser or vanity.

Pair of Antique Battle Creek Sanitarium Health Food Milk Glass Jars
Up for auction is a pair of small ceramic milk glass antique jars from the Battle Creek Sanitarium Health Foods. They are both in excellent condition. Neither has their original paper labels- just fragments. One of the jars is marked on the lid. However. The Battle Creek Sanitarium Health Foods in Battle Creek, Michigan was a health resort based on the health principles advocated by the Seventh Day Adventist Church most notably associated with John Harvey Kellogg. The health resort was frequented by the rich and famous of America. John Harvey Kellogg later invented Kellogg's corn flakes. The jars are 2 3/4" tall and 2 1/4" in diameter. Both jars are marked on the bottom.

I don't know anything about what these are or where they came from. The brown jar is 5 inches high by almost 2 inches across. Clear Ribbed Glass Tea Canister and Spice Jars You are looking at an antique set of matched rectangular shaped ribbed jars with screw on metal lids. The larger one has TEA embossed on it. And the other two have a blank space left for whatever spice a person wanted to label on the jar. These jars are not branded. They may be Hoosier or Sellers. But I am not sure. The lady I purchased them from said they belonged to her great grandmother, which probably dates them to the early 1900’s. They are in Excellent Condition with no cracks or chips, but the edges of the jars are rough, like they have been worn down or roughed up over the years of screwing and unscrewing the lid. CAPSTAN Glass Box Lot Case Canning 1920 Antique Original Fruit Jelly Jars Anchor
This is a complete original case of 48 CAPSTAN jelly glasses/jars made by the Capstan Glass Co. of Connellsville. P.A. The Capstan Glass Co. existed from about 1918 to 1937. It was one of the glass jar producing subsidiaries of Anchor Cap and Closure Corp. of Brooklyn N.Y. who developed the rimless jar and cap closure design that became"state of the art" for production fruit packers of the pre-war era. This particular case of canning glasses was destined to be used by a small jelly and jam-making enterprise in the town of Strongsville. Ohio, where a man named Henry Bulkley lived on a small orchard farm. This type of packing container was not commonly used in a small time fruit-packing business, as it required machinery not commonly found outside larger packing operations. Henry Bulkley was brother to a Democratic Senator from Ohio ... morenamed Robert Bulkley. Robert and Henry came from a"well-to-do" family from Cleveland, Ohio. The family owned The Bulkley Building. A large art nouveau style office building located in Downtown Cleveland, in Ohio's current theater district and home to the the Allen Theater. As you can see by the shipping address on the bottom of the cardboard case. That is where this case was shipped, with notification of arrival to H.G. Bulkley- ergo Henry. I believe these were probably produced in the early 1920's and have been in the original box since they were packed by the Capstan Glass Company. I have opened the bottom of the box and only removed/touched. One, for the purpose of photographs The size of the glasses are 3-1/8 inches in height. 2-1/4 inches in diameter at the rim and 1-1/2 inches at the base. The marking on the base is clearly the Capstan Glass Trademark with the number 3 1/2 lightly imprinted under it. The glass holds approximately 3 1/2 oz. The glasses have a slightly pinkish hue and the glass itself is full of micro bubbles and light swirls and marks typical of glass from the era. These two blue glass canning jars are in good shape. The Ball Ideal has a clear glass lid with it. The Mason's pint has the Cross along with the Patent date embossed on the front, and the bottom is embossed PAT NOV 26, 67 with 709 in the center. Lot of 8 Antique Glass Household Jars - 100 Years old - some Patent Dates
This auction is for a Lot of 8 Antique Glass Household Jars that were used around 1850 to right before 1920. When looking into the jar. You can read patent dates on a few of them. With some having some pretty bubbles, they make a great display, hold flowers for a special occasion, or can be used for crafts. They measure from 3" to 4" tall. They have been soaked over night and gently washed to check for cracks. And will come cleaner with soapy water and some small brushes. These bottles were dug. reclaimed! so may contain some minor scratches, chips, dirt, and cloudiness, which can be treated with baby oil, thin coat, inside and out. This process moisturizes the bottles and leaves a nice shine. Any leftover rust can be removed with very cheap toilet bowl cleaner. I am trying a new packaging process using recycled paper. Etc. but ... morepromise to ship safely. Trying to avoid using plastic bubble wrap and trying to keep shipping charges lower, depending on the sizes of bottles. Description Item- 3 antique glass& metal lidded dressing table jars/ pots. 2 have matching floral embossed lids and the longer jar has Cherub heads all over the lid, I beleive the lids were all once silver plated and its all worn off the tops, the underside colour is more silvery, all used with some small flea bite chips to the glass, marks/dents and scratches/ware/etc so please see click to enlarge photos, 99p start& N/R Measures- longer jar is approx 11cm x 3cm x 2.5cm high. Vintage set of China Paints - 29 Antique Small Milk Glass Jars
Vintage set of China Paints 29 small Milk Glass Jars Most have paint in them but varying amounts. I took a sample picture of four of them opened. They came from the estate of a doll and china painter in the 70's. I do not know if the paint in them is still good but the jars can be easily cleaned and reused. One is a slightly paler shade of cobalt blue and with an oval neck, possibly the older of the two as there are more bubble inclusions in the glass. Lot of 12 Antique Milk Glass Jars - 100 Years old or More! 1 PONDS
This auction is for a Lot of 12 Antique Milk glass Jars that were used around 1850 to right before 1920. They make a great display. Hold flowers for a special occasion, or can be used for crafts. They measure from 2 1/4" to 3 1/4" tall. They have been soaked over night and gently washed to check for cracks. And will come cleaner with soapy water and some small brushes. These bottles were dug. reclaimed! so may contain some minor scratches, chips, dirt, and cloudiness, which can be treated with baby oil, thin coat, inside and out. This process moisturizes the bottles and leaves a nice shine. Any leftover rust can be removed with very cheap toilet bowl cleaner. I am trying a new packaging process using recycled paper. Etc. but promise to ship safely. Trying to avoid using plastic bubble wrap and trying to keep shipping charges lower, ... moredepending on the sizes of bottles. Antique Meriden Rotating Cruet Castor Set 6 Glass Jars (spices)
This is a victorian style Castor/Cruet set made by Meriden Britannia. I am assuming it is silver plated. Since the company almost always used silve in their items. It is stamped on the bottom Meriden Britannia Company 131. All the the glass containers are in very good condition. There are no major cracks or chips. This set holds 6 bottles and features a rotating holder so you can easily get what you need. The base features a greek key design and the handle is lovely. This is a great and unique piece. BLUE OPALINE GLASS BOX BOXES CONTAINERS JARS VANITY DECOR VINTAGE ANTIQUE
These beautiful vintage opaline glass boxes can have a variety of uses. These sat as decoration on my vanity. The glass shows no marks. Chips, or deep scratches. The hinges show signs of repair, that they have been glued back on. I repaired one of them, the other looks like it was repaired previously. These pieces are very old. Its not surprising that the adhesive originally used would have lost effectiveness by now. I have used Loctite adhesive to glue the metal hinge back to the opaline. This is a very strong adhesive that bonds just about anything. As I said. The glass is in great shape, and you cannot tell without looking closely that I made the repair. I also have another set of blue boxes for sale in addition to this set and the pink set that will be listed shortly. I have listed the blue ones as two separate listings since the color ... morein them is not a match. The other set is slightly darker in color. 6 Vintage Antique Medicine Milk Glass Bottles Jars Musterole Resinol Forkola
Fresh from an upstate New York estate! Included in this offering is SIX vintage milk glass medicinal jars. Four are for Musterole. One is Furkola and the largest for Resinol. The Furkola is an unusually shaped octagon jar with a tin lid embossed with the name"Furkola" in script. There are no chips or dings and there is an Anchor Hocking mark on the bottom. the tin lid has a dent and some scattered pitting. Typical of jars this vintage- 1920's. The glass is beautiful early milk glass. Bacorn's Vaporizing Forkola Jell was produced in Elimira, N.Y. It was used for"Congestion and Inflammation, It's Pure as Butter, For External Use. This jar measures 2 3/4" tall and is 2" in diameter. Thick glass typical of this period. The vintage 1914 Resinol jar is the largest of the six at 3 1/4" tall and 2 1/4" ... morein diameter. Resinol was a salve for skin irritation. The jar has a tin lid with ivory and navy graphics. There are no chips or dings in the jar and the bottom of the milk glass jar is embossed"Resinol Chemical Co. Balt' O MD. It has some surface pitting to the tin but is still attractive and quite legible. Also included are FOUR milk glass Musterole jars. One with remnants of the paper label and two with the original tin lids. Incorporated in 1907, Musterole Co. made this ointment"to relieve chest congestion, coughs, minor throat irritation, and muscle aches. Musterole was distributed throughout the U.S. and Canada as a convenient substitute for the old-fashioned mustard plaster and achieved worldwide distribution after World War I. Musterole was made by the Musterole Co. of Cleveland. Ohio. Made in USA The largest jar measures 2 5/8" tall and is 2" in diameter. It still has some remnants of the original salve though I DO NOT suggest putting it on your skin. It has a tin lid stamped"Musterole Cleveland. The lid does have some light pitting. 4 Antique Milk Glass Vanity Jars Richard Hudnut Three Flowers Mary Garden Ayer
Fresh from an upstate New York estate! This offering is for FOUR vintage cosmetics milk glass jars. The first is a"Three Flowers Cleansing Cream Richard Hudnut" jar with original tin lid and graphics. The 2 5/8" tall jar has a front foil label in gold with purple and red flowers. The lid has a lovely 1920s graphic in multiple colors and depicts a woman primping in front of a hand mirror with her servant behind her styling her hair. There are no cracks or chips in the jar. The labels are aged and the tin has some pitting. See pictures. The next jar is square with an embossed tin lid. It has a cameo portrait of a young woman and states. Mary Garden Rigaud Paris Parfumeur. The jar has no cracks, chips or dings while the lid has only minor surface discoloration and tiny dents. This jar measures 3" tall by 2" square. Antique Meriden Silverplate Silver Quadruple Plate Cruet Castor Set 6 Glass Jars
Up for auction is a nice example of an antique Victorian cruet castor set made by the Meriden Silver Plate Company. This is a rotating castor or cruet set with 6 etched and dimpled glass bottles. The holder stands about 14 1/2" tall to the top of the handle. It is engraved with the hallmark of a lion and the words" MERIDEN SILVER PLATE. CO. QUADRUPLE PLATE" with the No. 0348. The bottles include; a salt& pepper holder with silverplate caps. Each about 7 1/2" tall, 3 oil/vinegar bottles, about 9" tall including the glass stoppers. And 1 mustard style bottle that is about 5 1/2" tall with a hinged silverplate lid. The holder has nice detail at the top handle, and engraved design on the hanging edge. See enlarged photos for condition. The silverplate is tarnished and has scratches and minor loss to the silverplate ... morein spots. Three of the glass bottles are in excellent condition. But the 3 oil/ vinegar bottles all have chips at the top(in the same spot on each) and the stoppers have missing bottoms/chipped bottoms. As you can tell from the photos, these are not as obvious when used in display. I HAVE NOT CLEANED! Photos taken with and with out flash. Antique Pair Blown Glass Apothecary Drug Store Candy Jars Applied Bands NICE!
Here is a pair of covered glass jars. Each with two applied glass bands, rough pontil marks, and ridge detail on the lids under the finial. They are a bit over 12" tall and the opening is 5 1/2" in diameter. One base is perfect, the other has some rim chips. The joining seam where the glass band ends meet are visible that is not damage. Both lids have chips on the inner rim edge that is inserted into the base and some rough areas along the outer edge of the lid but not visible chips. Will be shipped double boxed. BUY. SELL. BELIEVE.
