It has an applied handle at the neck and an applied rim- the shape of this suggests an early nineteenth century date. There is a high kick in the base. The surface is slightly irridescent and heavily corroded and pitted as this piece has obviously been buried somewhere damp for many many years. There is no damage to the bottle other than this surface corrosion( which I think adds tremendously to its interest) A wonderful tactile object. One of the bottles does have something embossed on the bottom but I can’t make out what it says. The 5 bottles appear to be the same design. However. One of the bottles does not have the shape for dropping down into the caddy like the other four do. CONDITION Age appropriate condition with bubbles in the glass here and there. I find no cracks or chips. Except for some chipping on the mouth of the two shaker bottles under the screw caps. The glass on one of the vinegar/oil cruets is tinted slightly purple. The glass stoppers are in excellent condition. The hinge is broken on the lid jar. I did not clean this set so all the bottles need washing. RARE ANTIQUE FOREST GREEN MOLD BLOWN GLASS DECANTER GILT VICTORIAN EAPG ELEGANT
An unusual antique forest green pressed glass decanter with original stopper. I don't know the pattern or maker. But I'm sure it is rare. I would put it's age right around 1900, so possibly it is Victorian EAPG glass or possibly elegant era. It reminds me of early Fostoria and Heisey. The motif features clubs, acanthus leaves and ocean wave scrolls at the base. Motif has Greek and Gothic elements. Gold highlights around the raised decoration. The decanter is in good condition for its age with a heat check on the body of the neck behind where the upper part of the handle is applied. No other chips or cracks. There is a very shallow open bubble near the rim- this is very minor and in the making. Minor wear throughout to the gilt decoration commensurate with age. The inside of the stopper is cloudy but I suppose this is in the making ... moreas there is no way to access the inside of the stopper- it has a closed bottom. The cork doesn't quite fit all the way in the decanter. The shot glasses are all matching. The pattern is shown from 3 different angles in photo#10. The decanter is ~ 8" tall without the lid. It has a total weight(with lid) of 0.60 kg(~600 grams) The shot glass is ~ 2-1/2" tall inside the silver holder with a ~1-7/8" opening. The silver shot glass holder is ~ 1-7/8" One shot glass with holder has a total weight of 50.8 grams. The silver holder by itself weighs 10.5 grams. This is a set of two antique red and yellow amberina glass decanters. They are in very good condition. But show signs of wear. There is one chip on the corner of the base of the large decanter and chips on three corners of the base of the smaller decanter. There is also some chipping on the bottom of both stoppers(see photos) The only other damage I could find were two miniscule nicks on the inside of the lip of the larger decanter(see photos) The larger decanter is 6 inhes tall without the stopper and 8 inches tall with the stopper. This beautiful decanter is a crystal bottle with a silver sleeve at the bottom. Around the neck and on the finial. It looks like silver plate. The bottle is in excellent shape with no cracks, chips or damage. It is cut or etched with flowers and designs around the decanter with a ray cut into the bottom. The decanter is very heavy and measures 9" tall without the stopper, 4" across and 3" to the back. It has an octagon shape. The silver sleeve that the decanter sits in is thin. Looks like silver plate and has figures in relief on it, very tarnished but not damaged in any way. Measures 2-1/2" up from the bottom. The neck of the bottle is also clad in silver with matching figures in relief. The cork stopper has a figure on top in silver, measures 2" tall. Vintage/antique? Victorian? Green glass decanter with white and gold coloured decoration. No chips or cracks and overall the condition is good although could use a clean which i am reluctant to do as last thing i cleaned i dropped and broke! The Markers Mark is Marked JTH over JHM with 3 bumps over and under it for John Thomas Heath& John Hartshorne Middleton(All shown in pictures) The other Marks on the Silver are on the bottom side(Birmingham Mark date mark and lion Passant) the middle side( Maker Mark plus Birmingham& Lion Passant) the clasp of the buckle(Birmingham Mark and Lion Passant) finally on the inside of the flip buckle enclosure there is a reference number 771702 or 271702(unsure of first number) additional numbers below and another hallmark to the left of it. This is a Highly collectible and very sought after Decanter is in excellent vintage condition. There is only 1 flaw on the entire item. The midsection of the wicker has a broken or dislocated piece on the wicker weave(Shown in my pictures) This could be fixed by a professional. Aside of this is in extraordinary original condition! There are no other flaws or damage aside of one break and the standard silver oxidation which some collectors like so I did not have it polished. Glass Bar lipped Decanter Caged Marble Slide Stopper Tavern Antique 1800's
Bar lipped Decanter with Original Slide Stopper Sandwich. New England, Cape Cod. Could be any of these companies. Or another, who made this tavern decanter. It dates sometime for mid to late 1800's. I could not find the maker of the decanter. The bar lip was not made for or sold with a glass stopper. From what I can gather the slide stoppers were an"add on" This slide stopper has been bent down on top to reduce the amount of liquid that pours out. I believe this was done by the bar keeper. Please view photos carefully. The marble is pink and green swirl. The original cork fell apart when I first took it out to clean the bottle. I will sent those pieces as well. The bottle has a small 2 mm bruise at the bottom of the neck and small chips to the bottom edge points of the bottle. This auction is for a rare duck decanter. I have seen a few similar however they always have clear glass. This is the first one I have ever seen with green glass. It looks and presents better than the pictures show. I am unsure to what the metal is. It is a metal. It could be silver. Silver plated, or even pewter but I am just saying that because of the patina. I have not attempted to clean it. It has no markings I could find anywhere. The decanter stands approx. 9.5 inches tall. An absolutely stunning decanter made of wheel-cut class with a pewter overlay. The design work is intricate with a floral and foliate design that's very much in keeping with the Art Nouveau aesthetic. The decanter is in amazing condition with no wear or damage that I could see. My guess is that this piece was made in Czechoslovakia or Austria. Not sure of an exact age on the piece. But I suspect that it originated at some point in the late 19th/early 20th Century. 11.5 Inch Antique Glass Decanter
You are buying a 11.5 Inch Antique Glass Decanter. This decanter came from a collectors estate sell. There are no chips or cracks on the decanter. The decanter needs to be cleaned on the inside but we do not know how to professionally clean the inside(No chemicals or damaging the glass) This decanter has the following on the bottom D 23 65 54 and were told this decanter was from the 60's. We can not prove this but the lot of decanters and glass this decanter came from was from the 50's and 60's. This is being sold as an old collectible and not as a new item. Storck & Sinsheimer Silver Etched Glass Decanter Set - RARE Antique
A rare antique German decanter set by Storck& Sinsheimer. The glass is finely etched with windmills and ships. The silver top collar has flowers and scrollwork while the bottom overlay in addition to scrollwork and flowers appears to have people dancing. The stopper carries the floral scrollwork also. The bottom is impressed with the pseudo marks of Hanau Silver and the manufacturers of Jakob Stork& Louis Sinsheimer. The glasses have a removable silver collar. The collars are detailed with a scene of fishermen/women. This piece is impressive and beautiful. And I have yet to see a decanter that has the glasses still with it. Stork& Sinsheimer produced silver mounted glass items. Toilet bottles and the like between 1874-1926 dating the piece to this era. Condition: Minor wear throughout consistent with age and use and the bottom ... moreof the decanter appears to have mineral deposits. The glass stopper has broken(could be professionally repaired) and inside the decanter collar a chip of glass is missing. One of the small glasses has a hairline crack approx. 1/2" One glass has a noticeable chip on the edge, and a third glass has a chip but is barely noticeable. The glasses could be replaced. The piece is typical of the glass of Eastern Europe being overlaid. With grape vine decoration and in the characteristic ruby red. There is a pontil mark to the base. Showing that it was a hand blown piece. It feels very good quality and has intricate etching. As well as a beautiful multifaceted stopper. It measures approximately 9.5 inches tall. Condition is good- there are no chips or cracks but slight nibbles to the internal stopper and a small nibble to the side of the top handle. There are also various marks and signs of age and wear i.e. tiny marks and scratches. This bottle is three sided. Pinched on two sides. It looks black but could be black amethyst. Sterling Silver deposit is on the stopper, the rim and decorating the bottle with the word RYE. Gorgeous antique piece, hard to part with. This beautiful decanter measures 8 3/4 inches tall and 4 3/4 inches at the widest part. It is in great condition for its age with no damage to the glass. The silver is almost perfect except for a very small wear spot where the stopper goes into the bottle, really minor. The stopper is NOT chipped.
