1835 Georgian HALLEY'S COMET gold pin brooch taille d' epergne antique paste?
A very rare 1835 Halley's Comet pin or brooch. WOW! Let me tell you what I know: It tests between 10 and 12 K gold. I'm going to assume it's gold filled or plated. Lovely color. It has details of enamel work(taille d' epergene) Original tube hinge helps date this along with the C clasp The pinstem is gold and has a slight bend but closes just fine. The pin is approx 1.25 inches long and weighs 4 grams. The white or clear"stone" may be glass or paste or could be a rock crystal. It is not a diamond. It had facets cut but this is VERY WORN on the surface. I like it the way it is as it helps dates this but you could have it reground if you desired. These were made to honor the visit of Halley's Comet which visits us about once every 75 years. It's a beauty and rare little piece. Antique English Sheffield Epergne with Cut Glass bowls circa 1820
The"double sandwich" form of Sheffield plate was developed around 1770. Used for pieces such as bowls and mugs that had a visible interior. It consisted of a sheet of silver each side of a piece of copper; early manufacturers applied a film of solder over the bare edge of copper although such pieces are very rare. Edges of early salvers were hidden by folding them over but from about 1790, borders were applied with a U-shaped pieces of silver wire to conceal the copper which can often be felt as a lip on the underside. Towards the end of the period, solid wire was sometimes used which can be hard to see. Offered here is a 19th century Sheffield and cut glass epergne. Sleek and beautiful, this would be a standout piece in any home. It features 4 numbered detachable arms and unusual to find Anglo-Irish cut glass bowls. RARE Antique Silverplate Epergne Crystal Bowls Crystal Horns 33-1/1" Tall
Up for auction is an impressive silver plate. Crystal and glass epergne. This epergne stands almost 3 feet tall at 33-1/2" The silver plate base is decorated with flowers and fruit. It is 16" tall and is very heavy, weighing almost 12 pounds. The four silver plate arms are 11" long. They are numbered 1 through 4, as is the base, for placement when assembling. The four crystal dishes have a basket weave pattern and they are 5-1/8" in diameter. The glass bowl that sets in the middle of the base is 10" in diameter. The 15-3/4" straight crystal horn has a 6-1/4" diameter opening. It screws into the glass bowl and the frog. There are three extra holes on the frog to hold the 6-3/4" curved crystal horns. The horns are adorned with a ruffle trim. I purchased this piece at auction and according to the auctioneer, ... morethis piece was appraised at $3000 before one of the crystal horns was broken when disassembling for packaging. I do have the end piece of the broken horn and maybe an experienced glass blower can fashion a horn that is similar to the other two. The rest of the pieces to this epergne are in wonderful condition with no damage, chips, dents, repairs, etc. Since the piece is so large, it is an oversized package. Let me start by saying the color in photo 4 looks orange. it is red. That being said this is one gorgeous piece of vaseline glass with red cranberry opalescent top. This epergne horn measures 12"long with the only damage to note is the chip in bottom(see photo 4) which of course would not show if in a silver plate stand or reset with brass cap. The horn is decorated with an applied glass treatment. The overall measurement is approximately 23" high and the bottom bowl is 11" in diameter. It features a ruffled rim horn and a pie crust edge on the bottom bowl. THIS IS ALL OLD HAND BLOWN GLASS. GREAT used condition with no chips. Cracks, repairs, roughness, etc. The screw that mounts the top to bottom was loose so I added a brass nut to they will fit tighter. On offer is this simple but elegant six-piece epergne. With five lilies and a holder. I believe it to be silverplate. The mark on the bottom says"England, but I can't decipher the name of the maker, as it is quite small and hard to read(see the last photo) This epergne is in good condition, with no dents or dings, but it could use a good polish. Offered is a very pretty Victorian warrior. Medallion pin, brooch. Vintage, 1860's- 1900. Appears to be of European origin. Black taille d'epergne enamel with ornate gold plating. Gold plate was tested as 10k, but may be higher. The medallion is prong set in brass. The warrior appears to be carved from a gray metal. Highly detailed. Finely etched around warrior. Antique cased glass epergne in marine blue sits in a ruffled bowl that is 11 inches in diameter. It holds an upside down funnel shape which holds an 11 inch tall main stem made of faceted and treaded glass below the ruffled top rim. There are 3 other jack in the pulpit vases along the perimeter that have an outward curve. They are 7 1/2 inches tall. This outstanding piece of art glass is of museum quality. There is a small hairline on the funnel section that does not detract from the beautiful visual appearance of this fine piece.

Vallerysthal Antique Compote + Epergne Vase with Gold Stars, Blue Milk Glass
This is a beautiful antique two piece compote and vase set or epergne. It is made by Vallerysthal. Both pieces are milk glass of robin's egg blue. The undersides have a pleated fan pattern. With scallops around the top edges, known as the'ribs and scallops' pattern. Both pieces are embellished with little gold stars. Assembled, the pieces stand about 9" tall, and the lower compote dish is 6 1/2"wide. The Vallerysthal name is in raised all capital letters around the inside center of the compote. There are a few bubbles visible in the glass on the outside edge of the bottom of the base only. This great color is a great accent with almost anything.

Up for auction is this lovely epergne centre piece It's in good condition overall. The silver plating shines up well still The holder is made from wire which has been beautifully crafted and shaped. It has a floral look with this wire shaped to look like a stem/ branch of a plant. Fixed on to this is a leaf shape and small bud. There is ware to the plating on this but the base metal brass polishes up to a similar shade as silver plate so isn't overly noticeable There are two flutes. One slightly larger than the other and these fit neatly into the holder. For sale we have the stunning original antique Victorian epergne table centre piece in cranberry glass. The lovely piece was created in around 1880 and would have been the opulent centre piece of a grand dining table. The piece consists of three flutes set around the taller fourth. Each flute has a spiral of crimped glass decoration. The piece stands 53cm/21" at the tallest point with the base measuring 26 1/2cm/10 1/2" across at the widest point. The condition of the piece is very good with no chips or cracks to the body of the piece. Two of the outer flutes have a small section of the crimped decoration missing which does not detract from the look of the piece and is shown in the photos below. This fabulous Cambridge Candleholder with Crystals Epergene is from the early 1900s. There are 2 bud vases also. The pictures tell the story of'building' the entire piece. The first picture shows the finished product. The next picture shows the basic candle holder which will hold 3 tapers. Next. Is the piece to hold the bud vases. Then the bobeche with the prisms are added, each with 8 prisms. This piece is in great condition. This listing is for an antique circa 1890's miniature Victorian bronze mounted single glass flute vase epergne. The piece stands 7 1/4" high or 18.4 cm high and measure 3 1/8" or 8.1 cm in diameter across the flute top. The glass flute is acid etched with ribbons and intertwining bouquets of flowers. The bronze still has luster and the original decorative chains are there. This mini epergne would have been used in the ladies boudoir. Antique Epergne Lamp 30's 40's with Amber Vase & Crystal Teardrops Vintage
This listing is for a very unique Epergne Lamp. It's an antique and has been in my family a long time. But I don't know much about it. I believe it's from the 30's or 40's. It has the cloth original wiring inside, as you can see in the pictures. The outside portion of the wiring has been rewired. It's made out of a combination of glass, metal, and tin. I'm not sure if the metal is brass or white metal. The colored glass and vase is glass. The tulip leaves are tin with hanging amber crystal teardrops. Four of the teardrops are missing, and one of them is broken. The vase is amber. The'box' where the main bulb is located, swings back on a hinge to open and has deep amber and blue glass. It is approximately 14" high at the top of the vase. It is ornately decorated, yet, stunningly charming. I believe ... morethese bulbs are old. Everything works. Antique Epergne Blue & Amethyst Opalescent Large Stunning! Glass Horn Vase Wow!
This listing is for an absolutely stunning. Large, and heavy antique epergne. It measures about 17 inches tall, 12 inches across the bottom bowl, and 2 ½ inches deep. The bottom of the bowl is done in an amethyst or deep purple glass that turns up into 12 points of opalescent leaves that are blue color. The horn is about 9 ½ inches tall and is in a blue color with a rough sand like texture. There are also dots of opalescent glass between the ridges of the bowl. I cannot explain how beautiful this piece is in person! When light shines through the glass it is simply amazing. I am afraid I do not know what was meant to be in the holes around the metal stem. But to me it does not retract from it’s beauty. I can find no chips or cracks, and the only flaws are a few dark spots within the glass.
