This is a nice lot of antique dishes. My mother and my grandmother collected hundreds of these while I was growing up. This is what was handed down to me out of my grandmother's collection. Some are stamped blue ridge. Southern potteries, and rio stetson china- but other than that I really do not know anything about them. I am honestly blind as to the value of them. Antique EAPG Child’s ABC Ice Cream Plates 4 Dishes Federal Glass Children's
Offered for auction is a rarely seen set of antique child’s clear glass dishes. These early American pattern glass dishes were made by Federal Glass Company and date to 1910. They are from the Wabash Series. These wonderful child’s plates are decorated with the alphabet around the other rim and ICE CREAM with a dish of ice cream and spoon in the center. The are reverse decorated from the back and the front is smooth. All are in excellent condition with the early glass showing some bubbles. One has a tiny black spot near the ice cream. F abulous old squareish silver plated entree dishes. Or tureen& lid. Probably late Victorian? They are an elegant shape with curved sides and rounded corners and a rope edge decoration. They fit together to make a tureen but the handle is missing so they can be used as serving dishes instead. They were designed to be also used in this way as the decoration around what would be the underside of the lid shows. No makers or composition marks. There is a n 8 on the slot where a handle should be. Please see the identical one I have listed which does still have it's handle. The condition is lovely with no dents or dings. Just a few small marks. Little plate loss just some rubs to t he corners of the lid and on the bottom of the base. Very good inside so has probably had little use for it's age. In good antique or vintage condition with no chips. Or breaks. There is a spider crack on each crock/dish on the inside bottom and they do not appear to go through to the outside.There is a spider crack on one of them that goes down the side and about an inch along the bottom. And it does go through to the outside. I put water in it to see if it would leak. It does have a slow leak. So if you were to plan on purchasing them for a dog or cats dish, that one would be good to put it's dry food in that one. And water in the other one. A variety of Antique Victorian Silverplate Butter Dishes over 100 years old. All in nice condition. But have been used and show some wear as something that was used would. Four are silver and one has a gold wash on it, so it appears light gold. The Egyptian looking one is missing its little prongs to hold a butter knife, but otherwise, very pretty. Picture 9 shows one of the butter dishes which is a flip-back top- very unique. Has beautiful engraved interior for where a glass dish would go. The gravy boat and underplate match. They are made by Sheffield and date to 1900-1950. They are silverplated over copper and stamped as such. The smaller of the two baskets has a swinging handle(does not stand up) It dates to 1840-1860 and is continental European. The larger of the two baskets features a wire design. It dates to 1890-1910. These pieces are in good. Useable condition. The gravy boat and underplate both have no wear to the plate. The underplate has some dings where the gravy boat was set down too hard. They both have minor surface scratches. Three Antique Milwaukee City Hall Candy Dishes, Made in Germany, Schusters
Three beautiful antique. What appears to be porcelain china, candy dishes from before or just after the turn of the century featuring Milwaukee's German Style City Hall. The blue maple leaf dish was made in Dresden Germany by Wheelock and is approximately 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" The smaller rectangular one is also made by Wheelock but this time in Vienna Austria, and for Ed Schuster, of Milwaukee's Schusters Department Store. This example is approximately 5" x 3" The round dish just says Made in Germany and is approximately 4" across. All are in excellent shape with no chips or cracks that I can see. Antique late 1800's Child's Doll's Step back cupboard with Ironstone dishes AAFA
For your consideration is a Good example of a late 1800's Child's doll Step back cupboard in pine and old black paint. The cupboard is in the Eastlake" style" with circular top shelf popular in the 1880's cupboards. Very quaint and looks wonderful with other doll's early furniture. Set of Ironstone dishes in miniature go with the cupboard. I bought this from long time Portland OR dealer. From a local estate. If y ou love early doll miniatures you will love this cupboard. Black paint is old I would say last coat is 1920's or 30's over original dark brown paint. Bottom doors are false. Assorted Ironstone Dishes, plates, soup bowls, cups, saucers. with dings and missing gilt. Miniature handmade in Mexico coffee set and dishes vintage to antique
a really nice miniature child's set from old Mexico. Wooden. And very intricate and delicate. Also has trim that I think is wood burned. Vintage to antique. The tray is 4" across and the coffee pot stands about 1 1/2" tall with a removable lid. The little cups are on saucers that are about 3/4" wide and the cups themselves are about 1/2" The candlesticks are 1 1/2" and the sugar creamer is about 3/4" The sugar creamer and the coffee pot have removable lids. And there are five tiny spoons, also carved from wood. A remarkable set and to have survived this long. They are all housed in a box that is collectible in itself.
