This Afternoon's Items up for Auction are a Cobalt Blue& Blue&White Lot of 26 Dishes. The first of the lot are 23 NOS 4" Shenango China made in the USA Tea Saucers. Never used and from a Famous Lake George, N.Y. Restaurant that was in business since the 1950's and closed it's doors for the last time this past summer. Photo's#1, 2, 3, 6 and#7. I took the pix of the 22 cobalt saucers and remembered afterwards where I had put another one, so there's actually 23 of the Shenango saucers. The next 2(Photo#5) are Stanley Hotel Ware blue&white 6 1\2" Plates with 1 having a few small chips around the rim on the sides, nothing major and the other plate is virtually perfect. The last dish is Photo#5 a 5 inch cobalt butter dish that had a cover which got broken several years which was clear and tapered and ribbed. ... moreI know this because it belonged to my Grandmother who was born in 1876 and passed away at 93 and the kitchen and china of hers was left to my Mom who passed away a few years ago at 91. So it's a very old cobalt butter dish and it does have sliver chip off 1 of the points on the edge, other than that it's beautiful blue cobalt dish. This item is a PAIR of small bowls from China which I believe to be antiques dating back 100-200 years or more. Since I have no expertise in these. I can make no representations except what I see. Bidding here is for TWO bowls as a pair at the bid price. My photos show as best I can what these are. I am open to an offer for one bowl but have now had two purchasers who claimed they thought the price was for both so I am now CHANGING this listing so that the ONE PRICE bid buys BOTH bowls; it is NOT double the price but the price bid. I am setting a minimum $250 opening bid because I have been offered that amount and believe that the final sale price for the pair ought to be at least that sum. I cannot guarantee age, antiquity or period of manufacture or design here but can only describe what I see and gather from other listings might be the ... moretechnical Chinese name. So, what I see are that the bowls are delicate, almost somewhat translucent blue and white as pictured. SIZE is approximately 3 and a half inches diameter across the top and they stand about one and a half inches high. CONDITION is very good- no chips or major irregularities, damage, etc. I really can't be sure whether these are 18th Century originals as they appear but they obviously look and feel old. I acquired them in China in the 1990s and had the impression then that they were relatively old antiques but I just cannot claim to be any kind of expert. A delightful period extravagance. In the form of a silver plated breakfast server. This beautiful ovoid container. Dating from the mid 19th century, has an oxbone handled, hinged dome lid, which disappears under the base of the contain when lifted. The dome is simple and perfect. Being without blemish or wear. There is a small slot to the front right which allows a serving spoon to be left in situ with the dome is closed over. Inside the server is the original fret cut tray and the original drip tray which sits beneath. On removing both. The server reveals a perfect silvered inner space. These graceful and elegant dishes date from the early 1890's. About 1893, of English make and origin, fashioned as a pair if heart shaped shape 4" by 3.5" nut dished featuring an intricate pierced floral border detail with.50" pedestal bases. The dishes are solid and heavy with a combined silver weight of 81.4 grams. The dishes are in excellent condition showing little wear other than normal with no damage. Here is a set of matching dishes. I don't know a lot about them other than they are old. In the teacups there is a lithopane of a geisha girl in the bottom of the cups. There is a chip in one of the cup. A teapot that is missing the lid. Cream and sugar bowl, a mini vase, and what looks like a box with a lid. Also there are two mini dishes not sure what they were used for but one of them has a chip in it. Out of all this set only found 2 items that had any breaks or chips and I mentioned it above. On the left is a silverplate rimmed glass insert and inside the bottom quadruple silverplate is a beautiful etching of bees, butterflies, flowers and beehive. Thank you for viewing my auction. Offered to you is an Antique Nippon Set consisting of a Celery Bowl and 4 open salt dishes. The pattern is of pink roses with green leaves and gilded light accent and trim.Each bowl is scalloped and has 3 legs. There are no chips. Cracks or crackling on this set. There is some very light wear to the set. Each piece on the bottom says Hand Painted, Nippon. The bowl measures 5-3/4 inches across and 3-1/4 down the side included the legs. The Salt dishes measure 2-1/2 inches across and 1-1/2 inches tall including the lets. This is a beautiful set. Thank you once again for viewing my auction. I appreciate your time. Lot of 9 Antique Vintage Unique Butter Pats or Pin Dishes This is a lot of unique. Different butter pats or pin dishes. Includes: Elite N.D. C. Limoges France leaf shaped dish- 4 1/2" x 2 3/4" Decorated with purple flowers and gold leaves and accents. Uno It"Favorite" Bavaria- small dish 3 1/2" x 2 5/8" with gold painted scroll design. Clam shell shape dish with blue and yellow flowers. Signed with initial"L" on the back. 0315. 3" round. Leaf shape small dish painted with purple and yellow flowers. Marked"Italy" on the back. Does have areas of crazing and few small chips along the edges. Fan shape butter pat decorated with flowers. Embossed on the back but hard to read. 3 1/2" x 3 1/8" 3 shell shape butter pats. Each one painted with different color flowers. All are the same ... moresize(3" x 3 1/8" They do have some numbers and letters imprinted on the back side, however I can't make out what they say. They have a few small light chips on the backside and some crazing. Some areas of discoloration. 3 1/2" x 2 3/8" dish with purple flower- unmarked on the back These are all vintage or antique and will show some signs of wear/aging. Antique/Vintage Enamel Chinese Cloisonne Floral Design Dishes/Bowls. Set of six bowls. Five have green bottoms and one has a blue bottom. These bowls are unchipped and are in great condition being well taken care of. Very nice rare collection. These dishes have wire design on the bottoms and are 3-3/4 by 5/8 inches total depth.
