The Covered Boxes measures 3" high and are 3 3/4" across. The Tray measures 1/2" high. 4 7/8" long and is 3 1/2" wide. 1 of the Boxes and the little Tray are in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or fleabites. 1 of the Boxes has a small chip to the edge. These three antique doll dishes(cup. Saucer, pitcher) were made in England by J&G Meakin. They are ceramic with a red transfer ware pattern of a stagecoach and an English looking manor in the background. The bottom of the saucer indicates that the pattern is called"Stratford Stage" All three dishes are in very good condition with no cracks or chips. There is some crazing on the saucer. The saucer is 3 inches in diameter, the cup is 1 3/4 inches tall and wide, and the pitcher is 2 1/2 inches tall and 2 inches wide. A neat old group of doll dishes by a well-known old company! I have for sale 4 x Brown glazed saucer type dishes from the Tek Sing Shipwreck The Tek Sing set sail from China in 1822. She was heavily laden with Chinese porcelain. 1,600 passengers(mostly living outside on deck) and 200 crew. After 24 days she struck a reef, and quickly sank, taking more lives than even the Titanic disaster 90 years later. In 1999, salvage diver Captain Mike Hatcher found the wreck and recovered her porcelain cargo- the largest ever discovery of its kind, and in remarkably good condition. Bowls and dishes predominated, mostly in the blue-and-white patterns that graced the tables of 19th century Europe. They are in beautiful shape except for some paint fading of the Hebrew words as seen in a few of the dishes(the first few group photos were taken with my flash camera and in real life, are much darker than they appear. Being offered is a beautiful pair of antique Chinese Wucai enameled dishes. These pieces measure 5 1/2" in diameter and sit 1" tall. The condition of both dishes is near mint with minor handling wear and a few small scratches on the enamel decoration. The first dish has overall craquelure in the glaze the second has none. There are no chips. Cracks, fleabites or hairlines in either piece. Both pieces ring solid when tapped. The decoration is very well done and there is a fair amount of frit on both foot rims. Featuring a quatrefoil shape top leading to fretwork designed sides, and a solid base. Standing on four pad feet. The fretwork is a nice repeating pattern. It is quite fine, so as would be expected. Of something that is 115 years old, there are a couple of breaks. But they are hard to see. They sit level. And one has a slight rock. Overall the are a good pair. This auction is for a pair King George IV Sterling SILVER ENTREE dishes. The dishes are both hallmarked WKR for the London silversmith William Ker Reid- one for the year 1828 and one for the year 1833. The dishes measure approximately 13 inches in length and almost 10 inches in width. They have the wonderful Shell and Scroll edge and have a combine weight of almost 67 Troy ounces or 2077 grams. The dishes most likely came with lids. But these pieces are just the bottoms of the dishes. The dishes have definitely been used and show signs of use with scratches and wear. But no damage. Both sides of each dishes have a Armorial engraved Elephant Head with 3 Fleurs De lys. I googled and found this. The elephant head which looks like the engravings on this pieces. Six (6) Antique Chinese Canton Enamel Dishes Pin Trays Lot Copper Brass Floral
This auction is for all six Chinese enamel dishes in the picture. The widest part of the oval enamel over copper pink dishes is 3 3/4 inches wide. The square yellow enamel over brass dish is 3/4 inches wide. The smallest square blue and black enamel over copper dishes are 2 1/2 inches wide. The round blue enamel over brass dish is 3 inches wide. Some interesting color examples. Still pretty in spite of the age wear to the surfaces. Condition issues: All of the dishes have some nicks out of the enamel and crackling on the surface. Particularly on the back of the round blue dish. There are some bends in the metal on the edges of the dishes. Please see all of the pictures.
