Striking coloration of pink or salmon blending to yellow at the base indicative of the glass made by Mount Washington or Pairpoint in the late 19th century Raised bubble design- Five rows high Opaque satin finish When tested with a black light. It does fluoresce. The vase measures 4½" tall x 2 7/8" across bottom and 2½" across top Thick glass approx. 1/8" EXCELLENT CONDITION No chips. Nicks, cracks or repairs. Welcome to Antiques& Moore! This listing is for a STUNNING signed Thomas Webb"Queens" Burmese Art Glass miniature vase. C. 1880's. This lovely vase has beautiful"Burmese" coloration in the glass with a delicately scalloped upper rim. M easures 3 3/8" high with a top diameter of 2 7/8" and the base is 2 1/2" in diameter. This vase is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. Marked"Queens Burmese Ware Patented, Thomas Webb& Sons. Rd. 80167" on base. We also have another one of these wonderful miniature vases(unsigned) available with slight color variation in the throat area being sold separately. The Mount Washington Glass Company originally produced Burmese glass as the creation of Frederick Shirley in the early 1880's. The color was achieved by adding uranium oxide ... moreand gold to a batch of opal glass which created a yellow opaque glass that became salmon colored when reheated. Further reheating would turn the salmon back to yellow. This glass has a brilliant glow similar to vaseline glass when exposed to a black light. In 1886. Mount Washington gave permission to Thomas Webb to produce Burmese glass in England and slightly later other major glass companies created their version of this popular and costly art glass. Expensive to produce, none of the companies produced Burmese glass in a large quantity. The glass is thin and fragile and has always been a desired addition to any Art Glass collection. Fenton produces a line of Burmese glass today. However, their product is much heavier, always signed and is never confused with the earlier glass. This beautiful vase stands some 5 1/4 inches tall. Approx. 6 inches at the widest. On one side is a putti playing a flute. He has a garland on his head. And is surrounded by gilding and painted on flowering branches. The putti himself is a transfer design. The pontil is ground. But not polished. I dont' know who made this piece of lovely art glass. Please see the photos for the condition. No chips or cracks. There is minor wear to the design. And some imperfections in the printing, as the photos show. I guarantee everything that I sell. Antique Mirrored Plateau Glass Crystal Epergne Webb Burmese
The base of this antique epergne is identical to a Webb Burmese piece that wold on eBay for $2.020…this isn’t marked, so I don’t know the manufacturer. The center crystal piece is missing; the three side pieces are in good condition as is the holder. The mirror has some discoloration in a few spots…primarily on the edge. There are circles framing the glass tray and it measures 11” across. The flutes are app 4” There are no chips or cracks.

The cream color is almost a pale yellow color, difficult to catch in the photos, but the last one represents it pretty well. the makers marks were equally difficult to photograph, but you can make out some of them in the two close-up photographs I provided. Thayo lacquer decorates the base and edges of the robe. Thayo lacquer represents hair curls on the head. This Buddha statue is seated in the lotus position with hand gesture– Bhumisparsha mudra" Earth to Witness” size: 11 inch width. 24 inch height, 8 inch deep Being an image to which religious respect is paid. We must observe the formality of obtaining certification by the Chiang Mai Museum before sending the Buddha statue from Thailand, causing a delay of 2 weeks. The fairy lamp consists of a domed burmese shade. Manufactured by either Webb or Mt. Washington Glass. And a clear pressed base with an embossed fairy in the middle, the S. Clarke name at the top, and Fairy Pyramid at the bottom. Burmese Art Glass Lemonade Set Tumbler Antique Vaseline Glass with Matte Finish
Hello everyone. I'm listing in this auction a really beautiful piece of Burmese art glass that measures just about 3 3/4" tall. It was probably originally made as part of a lemonade set. The tumbler is lovely and delicate, it rings like a bell when tapped, and it glows under black light, so it's a piece of early glass and it's true vaseline. The glass has a matte finish. It's not glossy and the colors are lovely, flowing from a rich pink tone at the top to a light yellow in the base. The condition is great, it has no chips, no cracks, and no repairs, the bottom has a nicely ground and polished pontil mark. There is just the minor light wear expected for a piece that's true vintage and some factory inclusions in the glass. This will make a great addition to any collection and to use or display.
