This is an antique Art Nouveau sterling silver(tested) footed salt cellar with a custom-made frosted glass insert. The sterling salt cellar features two embossed lilies on the front and the back. And fluid ribbon designs that extend to the handles. The frosted glass insert features scalloped edges that match the silver dish, and a pressed starburst design on the bottom. It was excavated after centuries of being buried in the earth and does have soil deposits remaining on it. These viles were used to package valuable oils. Perfumes and cosmetics in Roman times. The delicate glass is handblown, tinted a pale green with a very pretty irridescence. It is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips and measures about 4 1/2 inches tall and a little over 2 inches wide. Available here is an antique art deco light fixture. It has a beautiful skyscraper style milk glass shade. The shade is in good condition with no chips or cracks. It has a 6" fitter. The shade only stands approximately 11.5" tall and is approximately 12" across at its widest. The fixture looks to be brass and has been partially painted over. I am not sure of the best way to remove the paint and will let the new owner decide what to do. It has the original socket and cloth wrapped wiring. I have not tested it and would recommend rewiring it for safety. Rewiring this would be pretty simple since it is a single socket. When hung. Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is Gorgeous Silver Plate Bride's Basket with a very unique Art Glass Bowl. The bowl has cranberry threading around the ruffled rim and it is also swirled with a large green thread of glass around the body of the bowl. Beneath the ruffled rim there is a clear glass ruffle surrounding the bowl. So charming and such great detail! I have seen similar threaded glass bowls from the very early 1900's attributed to Kralik. The silver plate stand has beautiful etching of leaves& flowers. There are no makers marks and no sterling mark so that is why I am calling it silver plate. It was in a bad state of tarnish when I got it so I wasn't sure what I had until I gave her a good old fashioned cleaning. WOW! I was amazed at what was underneath. I ... moredidn't clean the bottom. So just look closely at the bottom of it in the photos to see how hard I worked- but it was worth it! Only one minor flaw to report and that is a small hairline crack to the bottom edge of the glass bowl, about 4 cm long- shown magnified in photo ten for you. This does not show when the bowl is in the holder and it is hard to spot even when not in the holder unless tipped just right to the light. Certainly nothing to worry about with how beautifully this set displays. They look so splendid together! No other cracks, chips or repairs to report. The silver plate is intact. It could use a little more shining maybe but I find no loss to the plating except maybe a little to the handle ~ it's hard to tell with the design ~ plus I didn't shine the handle(sorry, my hands got tired) You are going to fall in love with all the details on this set. The silver plate holder is 5 1/2 inches tall from table to the top of the handle and it is 7 inches wide. The little art glass bowl is 2 1/4 inches tall and the top rim opens up to about 4 1/2 inches wide. Such a lovely set to have on display. You will not be disappointed ~ Guaranteed! This stand/table is in the Art Deco design and is probably from about 1925-1950. It is cast iron painted in a good condition silver color paint. It is in the original found condition with no noted repairs. Breaks or missing parts. The paint and stand is in very good condition with wear appropriate and consistent with the age and use. The glass is in fine condition also with no known cracks, chips or damage. A retablo is a traditional Latin American folk art devotional painting. And then often focus on Catholic iconography. This oil painting on tin features a male saint wearing a green cloak and hat, holding a black staff in one hand and a basket of flowers in the other. His staff has either a bell or a pouch affixed to it. The man has quite a content look on his face. He is surrounded by curtains and flowers, and by four panels of reverse-painted glass with vivid and brightly colored flowers against a shining gold background. I believe that this represents Saint Patrick, but this is open to interpretation. This really is a stunning piece of historically important art. ... moreThis retablo measures 15.5 inches tall by 11.5 inches across at the wides part. Where there are wings near the top of the frame. It measures 3/4 of an inch deep. The central painting is on a tin background, and the rectangular panels that surround it on four sides depict vivid, colorful flowers and gold which are reverse-painted on glass. The left panel of glass is cracked and a piece of it is missing. The top panel has a crack in the center but no glass is missing and this hairline fracture will not cause further damage. Aside from this, the retablo is in great condition for a piece of folk art that has spent many years on display. The shade has four glass panels with raised line design and two are missing. The inside of the shade is a little rusty and some of the metal decorative flowers parts have seperated from each other and will need minor repair. The shade is 5-1/2" tall and 8" wide.

Antique iridescent threaded art glass Loetz Palme/Konig Biscuit Cracker Jar
Loetz Cracker Jar. Mom and dad collected antiques for over 40 years. Dad often would make a card on some of their more special items, the following is from his writeup: Loetz cracker jar. 5" diameter by 6 1/2" high to top of lid. Silver carrying bale has unique type hinge arm that lifts lid when bale is tipped back. Bale is mounted to rim. All silver plate. Jar is pastel blue/green with strong iridescence and dark-purple all-over threading. This an unusual piece with truly beautiful glass. The color. Although delicate, is much stronger than is shown in pictures, perhaps because of lighting. The contrast between threading and iridescent glass is more subdued. Condition: Very nice condition. Gorgeous Art Deco 1920s Antique Vanity Set 4 Pc. Satin Glass, Lavender, Pastels
WHAT YOU ARE BUYING/BIDDING ON An antique vanity dresser set. 100450 DESCRIPTION This is a pretty 4 piece vanity set from the 1920's. It's art deco. And includes a tray, a powder bowl, a smaller twist-on bowl, and a hand mirror with a detachable handle. The tray is beautiful in color. With a starburst effect of pastel pinks into a deep lavender on the outer edges. There is a thin border around the mirrored plate, and on the left and right edges there are stretched half and quarter daisies designed on it, also in lavender color. In the center there is a silver border, and an ornate silver center piece. The bowls are both made of satin glass. The powder bowl has four crests around the outside of it with tall flowers in each one. This is gorgeous with the satin effect on the cup. The lid on that has 6 silver stripes on each side of the ... moreornate silver center piece. Same as on the tray. The smaller bowl has 4 silver stripes on the lid, and it twists off. There is a plain vertical engraved striping on the outer edges of the bowl. The hand mirror is a zoom mirror. Made to be able to see more close up detail when using. The back of it has the same design as the powder bowl lid, and the handle is detachable. This is an amazing art deco set. And would be great for setting on your vanity or dresser. Antique Art Nouveau Silverplate Lily Cut Glass Dresser Vanity Powder Jar 1904
This listing is for one powder jar. It measures approx 4" tall by 4" wide. The cover depicts a gorgeous water lily and swirling art nouveau vines. There is some plate loss. The inside of the lid is shiny goldwashed. And is very clean looking. Marked"B Pat. June 14, 1904 098" see pics. The cut glass jar has large connecting diamond shapes with alternating patterns of English hobnail and smaller diamonds and fans. The base has a big star or flower. The lid fits a little loose on the jar. So it probably is not the original, but they look great together.
