Antique 8.5T Hand Blown Lovely 4 Tiered & Ruffled Edge Amethyst Glass Cruet-VGC
For your consideration is an elegant. Antique and very beautiful Amethyst handmade, hand-blown glass cruet in a bulbous three tiered shape, plus a fourth larger tier that gracefully anchors the design. The stopper that is also bulbously round is gorgeous. Fits into the upper flared and ruffled edge of the cruet and repeats the basic design. So in essence the visual effect is that of five tiers. Which increase in size as they flow on down from the upper ruffling. This was given to me by my mother-in-law many years ago and though still gorgeous. Does have some age and use related issues. There are some natural and pretty bubbles within the glass. Due to being hand-blown and if you have a look at the bottom, you will see the out of round circles attesting to this. The last photo shows that the handle is firmly attached and also shows how the ... moreneck inside is duller I suppose from inserting the stopper many times. Any other light surface scratches are simply due to the age and usage of her. But she still gorgeously refracts and reflects the light. Elsewhere on the bottle itself. I do not see any cracks or chips. The Main Issues Are: o The mottled look on much of the container is I think due to using it with a vinegar(which is acetic acid) and olive oil salad dressing. I have washed this of course. But this mottled etching from the vinegar is permanent. o In addition. The stopper has a shallow spider shaped crack or scratch on the neck of it that is approximately.25” long x 1/8” wide. But does not go through the stopper. See the macro enlarged 6 th photo. And the other side on the neck of the stopper has a single shallow scratch approximately.25” long. See the macro enlarged 7 th photo. o And the base end of the stopper has about four chipped areas that range from about 3/8” to ½” They are not visible when the stopper is in place. But you need to see the photos that show this. Approximate Measurements: Height: 8.5” and without stopper is 7” Span: across from spout to handle 3 3/8” Diameter: base is 3.5” a

Keep in mind that these pieces of antique(100 yr old and more) carnival glass may have certain flaws and imperfections which do not exist in modern glassware. Antique Carnival Glass may have none, some or all of the following: just a few or many air bubbles of various sizes, inclusions(ash, cinders, etc. straw marks” actually shear marks) tool marks, worn, missing or pooled iridescence, heat checks(internal fissures caused by uneven cooling) rough seams, extra glass at seams or webbing between edge points. This glass was produced a century ago in less than clean environments before Quality Control existed. It was cut with cold shears often producing what is commonly referred to as"straw marks" It was then hand pressed into moulds that did eventually wear out, thus lessening detail. Finally, it was hand-sprayed with metallic salts and sometimes re-fired for certain effects. Edge treatments such as ruffles, candy ribbon, pie crust or 3-in-1 were all hand shaped with various tools which often left tool marks. Here is a rare Imperial glass creamer in the Fashion pattern with an electric blue amethyst hue. There are three or four problem areas that I have circled in the various pics. The last photo where there is a spot of dis-colorization. That is circled in yellow. All of the other circled areas are in green and there are three of them. The handle in a few shots, and the first photo shows two other marks on the points. It is not perfect but extremely hard to come by and it really is electrifying! This item is not returnable- AS IS. ITEM DESCRIPTION: This is a beautiful Antique Amethyst Dugan Grape Delight Rosebowl with no chips. Scratches or flea bites. This pieces has a lot of vivid colors especially when exposed to light as you can clearly see from the pictures. My wife adores this piece and will hate to see it go! This is an old perfume bottle which was originally purchased in France. I do not know if it was made there. But it was purchased there. It measures 8 inches tall, and 3 inches wide. It has a clear stopper. The colors are amber and amethyst on the body, and it has a clear spiral accent which wraps around the body of the bottle. There is no damage to it, just the rub marks from the stopper being taken off and put on.

When I originally got the bottle it had an old handwritten sticker that said"clear or amethyst. The glass is thick with some bubbles in it. It says"Century C M" on the bottom. I don't see a date on it. The bottle measures about 8" high. The bottle has wear from age. Including a couple chips, 1" crack on the side, and a big crack around about half of the base. Vintage Antique Deep Amethyst Glass Beaded 48" Necklace Strand Beads Very old bead necklace. I put it back from an estate purchase in the early 80's because the amethyst glass beads were quite beautiful. Years passed and I never did anything with them. The necklace is made by connecting a series of very fine brass wires run through the beads together so that each bead is a link. I'm calling them glass. But they appear to be and very well could be real amethyst. Buy them as glass please. I took pictures next to a light source so perhaps someone knowledgeable could decide for themselves. The large amethyst beads are only slighly irregular in shape(10-11 mm) But the small beads are more irregular and not as round(3-4mm) and are strung together by very fine brass wire 48 inches in length. This is an older piece and is wearable condition ... morebut could use a good cleaning.This is one of two very old beaded necklaces I am selling at present. Beautiful Vintage(possibly antique) Hand Blown Amethyst/Purple colored Hyacinth Bulb Forcing Vase. It measures approximately 8" high. 2 7/8"wide at the top and 3 1/2" wide at the bottom. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, there is some slight wear on the underside bottom. There is a broken off pontil mark on the bottom and the glass itself has imperfections; small bubbles, waviness and there are 2 small round imperfections(at first I thought they were water droplets from washing the vase, but it turns out they are little nibs of glass, you can't feel them from the outside, they are more toward the inside.see photo) None of the imperfections are inconsistent with hand blown glass of this age. PAIR OF ANTIQUE AMETHYST GLASS& SILVER OVERLY HATPINS HAT PIN CIRCA 1910, THIS AUCTION IS FOR A VERY ATTRACTIVE PAIR OF ANTIQUE HATPINS WHICH DATE CIRCA 1915. THE HATPINS BOTH MEASURE APPROX. 17 CMS IN LENGTH. THE HATPIN HEADS ARE MADE OF BEAUTIFUL PALE AMETHYST GLASS AND HAVE STERLING SILVER OVERLAY IN A TYPICAL ART NOUVEAU STYLE. THE SILVER OVERLAY DESIGN DIFFERS SLIGHTLY ON EACH HATPIN. HEAD IS MARKED STERLING. THE STEEL PINS ARE LONG AND STRAIGHT AND BOTH HAVE SHARP POINT. ONE HAS RATHER MORE TARNISH THAN THE OTHER. ONE OF THE HATPINS HAS UNDAMAGED HEAD WITH NO CHIPS OR CRACKS TO THE GLASS AND NO MISSING PARTS TO THE SILVER OVERLAY. THE OTHER HOWEVER HAS A LARGE CHIP TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE GLASS AS SHOWN IN THE IMAGES. IT HAS NO OTHER DAMAGE AND DESPITE THIS FLAW THE PAIR DISPLAY VERY WELL. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING.

Antique 1880's Whiskey Bottle Sun Colored Amethyst Manganese Glass
I bought this bottle years ago because I thought the color was pretty(still do. I was told by the antique store owner that the color was due to the addition of manganese to the glass for improved clarity. And that over the years sun exposure had changed the color. I have recently consulted an expert in antique bottles, who told me that it was made in the 1880's and was a whiskey bottle(corroborated by another expert. I am not an expert and am basing this description on their information. There is a"seam" line in the bottle. And some bubbles are present in the glass that add to its charm in my opinion. Please look at the photos as they can do present a better"picture" than I can. There is some reflection of my bright orange camera strap in a couple photos, that is just a reflection and not in the glass. The very last ... morephoto shows the"28 H" that is on the bottom of the bottle, however I used the camera flash for that photo so the color is distorted. The other photos show the bottle's actual color. The bottle measures 12" high and the base is 3.25" in diameter. Thanks for looking.

Gorgeous Antique FRENCH 1880 COOKIE JAR Rare AMETHYST GLASS SWAN ORMOLU HANDLE
Extraordinary antique 19th biscuit/ cookie jar/ pot"pot à biscuits" with amazing enamelled hand-painted and raised decor of cherries or berries on rare amethyst glass. The handle shows two rare and gorgeous swan heads and necks with Art Nouveau scrolls and a lovely shell in the center of the handle. The lid and artichoke finial are simply gorgeous. They are embellished with very ornate Art Nouveau leaves and scrolling motifs, see photos. Very good condition.
