HOLMEGAARD HIGH LIFE CORDIAL WITH BOX 1 1/2 OUNCES 6" TALL AIR TWIST IN BASE
Listed is a Holmegaard High Life Cordial with original box. The cordial has never been used and some still have their original paper tag. These cordials are 6" tall and hold a little over 1 1/2 ounces. There is an air twist in the base- this is very hard to do and they are very unique. I have a total of 5 of these. If you want more than the one listed let me know and I can give you a price for what you want. The boxes are not in great shape as they have gotten wet in the past. Originally I was told that these 7 wine glasses were Steuben. However, they are a rare pattern of the very fine Crystal Manufacturer of England: STUART… Wonderful! Who is Stuart of England? The Stuart story started in 1827 when eleven year old Frederick Stuart was sent to work at the Redhouse Glassworks on the'crystal mile' An area just outside Stourbridge where generations of local craftsmen had already made this the centre of English Glassmaking. Over the years the skills and techniques of hand-gathered glassmaking remained virtually unchanged. A tradition to which successive Stuarts added unique creativity and innovation- from the pioneering of early Victorian coloured glass, to the application of continuous-melt technology. The original 18th century cone where Frederick Stuart worked has been preserved. The ruby red piece has a lattimo and a pinkish-cranberry twist and the amthyst piece is done with Lattimo and cobalt blue. An interesting antique Victorian hand blown amber glass jug. With multiple design details and a large pontil evident on base. Not marked, probably made in a cottage type English glass refinery. Body is formed with a heavy translucent amber glass with trapped air bubbles and a ribbed textured round base which becomes more pronounced on the thin straight neck. The handle is hand applied and curled. The six leaf shaped feet are also hand applied and have been pressed at the tip with a criss-cross motif. Measures 8.5 inches high. Condition is excellent. There is some slight mineral residue which remains after a gentle cleaning. No damage, breaks or losses. Antique Estate Brass Twist Car Air Horn Model T era.
This is an antique brass car horn. I believe from the Model T era but I'm not certain. I could find no makers mark. At some point it was painted black. The paint is worn but one can see that it would be easily returned to the brass finish. It measures 10" x 6 1/2" x 6 5/8" It is in good condition, It has some dings around the opening area with the mesh and 5 or 6 other dings and a larger dent at one spot. ANTIQUE SEEDY GLASS GOBLETS- AIR TWIST STEMS This auction is for a pair of hand blown glass goblets or wine glasses with air twist stems. Pontil scars on bases, and seedy air bubbles encased within the bowls. Although this Georgian style glass has been produced continually over a few hundred years, this set has characteristics commonly found on 18th c. drinking glasses and I suspect that they are not newer production. I am not an'expert' on antique drinking glasses but I have had many newer air twist glasses and these'seem' dissimilar to any I've had in the past. Both glasses were hand blown and there are slight variations in their dimensions. Each glass is about 7 1/2" tall with a 4 1/4" in diameter top rim. Each base has a small pontil scar where the glass was removed from the stick. The relatively thick walled ... morebowls show horizontal concentric'waves' and random very tiny air bubbles. This is a beautiful glass bell that has the original label. It has a very stunning air twist handle. The bell is 6 1/4" in height and is 3" in diameter at the bottom. The round bell glass ringer looks like it is missing some of the coating as I am showing in the pictures. I am geussing that it was made like this as it is inside the bell. Could be used for champagne. A martini or even a margarita! The stem is hand-blown with an air twist design in it. The top edges of this stem are rippled like waves where it was twisted off after blowing. We are not sure of the maker. Could be italian or czech? The bottom of the glass has a hand-written letter K in gold, which we assume is the artist who hand painted the gold trims. This art glass collectible tall stem glass would look great on display or perfect to use or make a toast at a wedding! MEASUREMENTS: Total height is 9 3/4" Measuring across the cup it is 4 1/2" wide.
